He is very knowledgable and makes good suggestions to my requests. I actually like his most recent style enough to get it done a second time. His decor is minimal with some cool photos on the walls and a few sofas. The tv will distract you while you wait because there is no appointments in the barber world. For the basic cut its very affordable (under $20 for cut, tax and tip) but I sometimes get the wash and style which is only a few extra bucks but worth it if you're going out right away. St Albert has a lot of barbers and this is the one I choose to spend my money at because of the service, cut quality and experince. Thanks Sam!

These last 2 years, the barber shop has been getting way to many new inexperienced barber. I received a haircut yesterday and a new barber shaved off a good chunk of my hair in the back making it so that i didn't notice until I got home. One part of my hair is a little wild and the barbers usually ask me what I want done with it. I usually end up keeping it a bit shorter and having them blend it in, however without even talking to me about it, this guy shaved off a giant chunk. Now my undercut looks super weird as it has a slant in the back where hair is supposed to be. I will never be coming back to this place as it has gone down the toilet.

Happy to update and add another star for the manager, Nola…read more Totally delighted with my second visit, this time for color. Nola said she had given a lot of thought to (as she put it) "taking me out of my box but not terrifying me." That statement alone sent my confidence soaring, as it exactly described what I wanted. When I look in a mirror, historically I just see drab and defeated hair. Colorists traditionally add warm highlights to try to brighten it (and my spirits), but I keep pleading that I'm a "Winter" and need cool, not warm. Nola listened and completely agreed, and understood that although I love jewel tones and greatly admire teals and purples and fushias, I'm waaaay too timid to rock a look like she herself has (check her out- it's fabulous!). What she concocted for me is a wonderful maroon/violet base for my dark brown hair, with ash highlights that don't make me look sickly. And, hidden underneath, invisible unless I choose to tuck my hair back and feel more fearless, are two streaks of purple that give me a little kick. The result? I LOVE it! Nola has promised to "push" me a little further over time, and reminded me that the worst that can ever happen is I don't like something and we simply color over it. I do believe she's making me finally get brave about having a little fun - goodbye drab, hello smiles! I want to add that over the two visits, I saw her clients with everything from "senior citizen more-staid" cuts to a very edgy almost-shaved 'do, so she can handle the whole spectrum. Finally, someone intuitive, thoughtful, and talented - please give her a try!

Finally took him back and was disappointed to see most of the extras about this place closed because of COVID - the stand up video game machine, the iPads, no glass bottles of self-serve pop, etc. I get it but this place is pricey and to not have the extras made it feel like a rip off. And to top it off the hair cut he got this past time was not up to snuff. I know it could be a one off but for Tommy Guns prices compared to any other barber shop in town, we definitely won't be back during COVID.

Came across it online and decided to give it a try due to all the good reviews on Google and their Facebook page. It can be easy to miss at first, as it is tucked inside a strip mall just beside the Dairy Queen and across from the Sobey's. Inside it's nice and clean with some TV's on the sports channels (always a bonus for us sports fans). Lots of parking. I have to say that they provided me with the best fade shave on the sides and back I've ever got (you'd think most places could get it right, but you'd be surprised...thank God hair can grow back haha). I'm a picky guy and have found most places either shave it too short or leave too much. And if you read their other online reviews you will see others agree with me, that they do a great job and will actually listen to what you want. Well, now that I have found this place, this will be my new go to place for hair cuts. Price is also very reasonable, especially since I go every 2-3 weeks.

Too many guys look half as good as they could because they've never had their hair cut well. At Men's Room you spend an average of $30 for a cut but it's being done by stylists who've studied the best and latest in hair trends for men. It's run by the Crew academy, and was the first men's salon of its kind in Edmonton before other salons, like Game Day and The Board Room started appearing. All were quite friendly too. Also never had too much difficulty getting in. I never had the time to take advantage of the free trim that was included, but it's a nice idea to throw in The main reason I stopped going was the location. As I live on the south side, there are plenty of equally good places in the Whyte ave area that are much more convenient. The price is on the high end for a men's cut, especially once you added in a tip. I think it's worthwhile to spend the extra money if you have longer hair where a quality cut matters. But if you get a shorter cut, there isn't much difference between a $50 cut and a $30 cut. As I've recently been going more to shorter cuts, it didn't seem as worthwhile to make the investment in travel time and money. They do seem to be drifting away from the "man" focus. Each time I went, there seemed to be more women getting cuts there. That doesn't bug me, but I think it's maybe a sign their prices aren't matching the demand of Edmonton men.
