Nice place to stay, Melinda who checked me in walked me thru everything step by step and did a…read moregreat job. Breakfast is standard fare at hotels, not crazy about the newer coffee machines slows things up and makes it rough when you have a full house. Breakfast area is really too small for this hotel Housekeeping now here is another thing, we are passed and over COVID they are still following those guidelines. You have to put your trash can outside you room y to o have it emptied if you are not getting service. You must inform the front desk if you would like your room cleaned. Also when coming back to the room I know have to pick up the trash can and bring it back into the room. Hotel is very nice rooms are very clean so this is a good place to stay at and good value for your money.

There were so many things that were "off" at our stay at Best Western in Kingsland, Georgia that I…read morehad to take pictures to remind me of them. As far as breakfast goes there was no yogurt of any kind, no peanut butter, no chocolate milk. The items that were provided were put out at minimum. Fruit cups were available but again, sparsely. All of these, though it may seem trivial to some, are commonplace in other hotels. The only ice machine in the entire hotel was broken. The room itself was clean. The suite provided two side chairs and one footstool that were located across from the second tv. In my opinion, there could have been a table of some sort, either for sit down eating if you were ordering food or at the very least to hold a coffee pot which was not provided in the room. The shower was in need of repair. It leaked/sprayed water from one of the connections and needed a new shower head. At least one mattress needed to be replaced. There was no laundry bag provided. The telephone was not connected, the cord was not visible. There was no clock provided. Most name brand hotels have upgraded to pump style containers of shampoo, conditioner and body soap along with hand/body lotion. That was not the case with this BW location. There was 1 "hotel size" container of shampoo and the same with conditioner. There were no make-up removal wipes which are commonplace in other hotels. When we addressed a few of these issues at check-out, we were told the new ownership was in the process of doing some things, sorry for the inconvenience. I kept a card from the front desk to remind us to not stay at this BW location again. I have seen some of the reviews for this BW location and some seem positive. Those reviews date back to 2024, 2023 and earlier. Our stay was March 2026.

We arrived at the Ritz too late for dinner anywhere but the lobby bar. Enjoyed several sushi rolls with drinks, each one imaginative fresh and tasty. But some event had recently let out and the lobby bar got crowded and LOUD. I mean over 100db loud (measured). That's the equivalent of enjoying sushi while jackhammers are crushing concrete all around you. Whoa! Ocean front one bedroom suite - Plush, large, comfortable. Curtains blocked most light, but the bright morning sun still peeked in around the edges. Comfortable bed and plenty cold for good sleeping. Two huge TVs. While the only premium feed provided is Netflix, the cable box had been lowered behind the TV in the living room such that it was simple to plug in your own device. If this is by design, kudos to the Ritz. If this was accidental, we feel very fortunate. Awesome to have a second half bath, wish that was an option at more hotels. The main bath, very roomy, with a huge dressing area, was a little odd in that, while there was a door to the toilet, there was no door to the tub/shower. Not a big deal, as it was around a corner providing a little privacy, it's still a weak design decision. Huge balcony with ocean front views that go on forever. A few chairs and a table, but a bit under furnished. Still quite a treat for the view, breeze and privacy. Never even slightly tempted to leave the property during our stay. Over a 4 night stay, we visited nearly every bar and restaurant option, and never felt like we were having to "make do". Pool - the kiddie pool was closed for renovations, so children took over the main pool all day. If you're not a tolerant direct parent, you're not gonna get in that water, if you know what I mean. Overall the pool and chairs were pretty crowded, so almost worth the premium to have rented a cabana for 8-2 one day. Lots more room and comfort, both lounge chairs and couch seating, TV, snacks and drinks.

Even with curtains pulled back. The light fixtures in bathroom and bedroom were very dull. The shower was terrible, no water pressure no hot water. Like warm showers for four days. The pillows were flat with no support. I came for a meeting. The food was mostly buffet style and like the shower was Luke warm and not hot. The hotel charges a resort fee but there is really no resort to take advantage of. One pool with a lot of kids. Drinks around the pool started at 20.00. I didn't see any going the extra mile. No little extras for the guests. I would not come back to this hotel again

I wanted to visit the Cumberland Island National Seashore (reviewed separately) and didn't want to spend the 900-1000 plus dollars per night (with a two night minimum) to stay at the one crumbling inn on the island. This is truly like stepping back into the 20s and 30s. Lots of old wood, that slightly musty smell (but not unpleasant). The desk attendants were super kind and helpful. I stayed in room 15, Cross Creek. I chose it because it looked directly out onto the water. The bathroom was clean, the shower was hot. People who are tall might struggle a little, as it's a bit of a short shower. The bed was very comfy and I loved how soft it was, and appreciated the soft blankets. There are multiple configurations of rooms here--queens, fulls, twins, double beds. Each is named after a famous guest or situation. Basic cable TV and that's okay! They do a sack lunch for the island (no food to buy on the island) if you order the night before. There is a restaurant downstairs (reviewed separately) and a small, quaint lobby. Literally FEET from the ferry and national park checkin. Also tons of cute little shops to walk around to see and shop. And if you miss their sack lunches, some of these shops will make you a lunch. I loved my night here. I really did. It's something I won't forget.
