The light fixtures in bathroom and bedroom were very dull. The shower was terrible, no water pressure no hot water. Like warm showers for four days. The pillows were flat with no support. I came for a meeting. The food was mostly buffet style and like the shower was Luke warm and not hot. The hotel charges a resort fee but there is really no resort to take advantage of. One pool with a lot of kids. Drinks around the pool started at 20.00. I didn't see any going the extra mile. No little extras for the guests. I would not come back to this hotel again

The external cabins are cute, and parking area appeared clean and neat. They have a virtual check in and out system that is done with an app that locks and unlocks your room for access. That was a convenient feature. The rooms are spacious, and our cabin had a full bed and a sleeper sofa, a small table, a fridge, sink and microwave. We loved the location and convenience to the beach. They even have free carts to load up and walk to the beach with. It's about a three block walk from the room. The down side of the cottage rooms was the air conditioning units and humidifiers that left a slightly musty smell. The beds were very uncomfortable as well. I was so miserable by the second night I tried the sofa bed instead. It was no much better. The shower had hot water and the bathroom was roomy. Be back to your room early to ensure a parking space. We went to dinner and had to park in an overflow area when we got back after 8 pm.

The trolley is also air conditioned which is great when the feel like temperature rises well over 100. The tour started at 1230 and lasted around an hour and a half. This was our first time to Fernandina Beach so it was a great way to see where everything is and to learn things some locals are even unaware of. The tour goes through the Historic District and we were told what was originally there and which things are still there like the Palace Saloon. The Palace Saloon is the oldest continously running bar in the state of Florida. The current mayor is also a part time bartender there. We also discovered many historic homes and learned the stores behind them. One house we went past was built over 100 years ago after it was ordered from the Sears Catalog for $1,000.-. Another highlight was 3 identical houses inside and out built by a guy for his 3 daughters. There are way too many highlights to mention. The cost of the trip for my wife, three kids and myself was only $70. We more than got our money's worth. We were also allowed to bring our 4 month old puppy with us on the trolley. Connie asked the other guests if it was okay to bring her and they said it was ok. So they are pet friendly as long as the other guests are too. Great tour!

They treat us right and very helpful to our older veterans and the widows that come to these reunions. Rooms are very comfortable, clean and neat. Housekeeping staff is outstanding and the room is always very clean. I have not had a complaint in all the time I have spent here. This time down Melissa the General Manager was very helpful and accommodating to all of our needs that is the main reason this is our home location for this very special reunion. I was told that the Sure Stay hotel the better of my options for a short stay.. well, after the warm reception I (and my Vietnam vet colleague) got, both at the Sure Stay and the VFW here in Kingsland (a short distance from the Sure Stay), I went home to Charleston, SC, checked on what it would cost to move to St. Marys, called the relators here, located an apartment (that wasn't "quite" ready), and moved lock stock and barrel. I booked into the Sure Stay for the duration of my wait for the apartment. Besides the wonderful breakfasts that were included in the room rate, having the cocktail lounge, "The Breeze", with their menu of bar foods, made it so I didn't really HAVE to go out for dinner. my stay at the Sure Stay got extended a couple of times because of problems that came up with the apartment, but it didn't bother me a bit; after a week I felt like family at the Sure Stay. I still visit the Breeze once a week and I'm greeted by the Sure Stay employees as if I never left. My Vietnam vet colleagues have come from out of state to visit and I put them in the Sure Stay. The pool area is huge, with multiple pools and a nice view of the ocean. I spent about half a day there relaxing and enjoying the sun. One morning, I also grabbed a matcha latte from Palmetto Press, the coffee shop attached to the hotel. With non-dairy milk and tip, it came to $8.50. The wedding ceremony took place on the beach in front of the hotel, which was a beautiful setting. The reception was held in one of the restaurants on the lower level, with a gorgeous view of the water. Cocktail hour was a mix of indoor and outdoor space, which was a nice setup. The staff were attentive and did a great job throughout the event. I also used the gym, which is located on the lower level and has a great view of the ocean. It is a large hotel gym with plenty of equipment, including more than ten cardio machines, a Peloton, weight machines, and free weights. There was also towels and water available. We also enjoyed a post-wedding gathering in one of the suites, which was quite spacious and worked well for a group. Overall, the Omni is a beautiful resort with nice amenities, ocean views, and plenty of space to relax or host an event. However, prices to stay at the property, and for the dining options were very high.

Tl;dr The Omni charged me an extra $53 for parking despite having credit on my hotel stay…read more I purchased a package for a weekend stay at the Omni that included a $100 room charge credit. When I checked in, I asked to confirm if daily parking rates would be covered by that rate. The front desk people told me that it would. Cut to the end of the weekend, when I checked out I was told I still had $90 of credit on my reservation. I inquired about the parking and they said I had no parking charge on my room and they would talk to the manager to try to get this situation resolved. Check my credit card statement - I'm charged an additional $53.50 fee for parking outside of my original purchased packaged. And not credited for the remainder of the room credit. I was never contacted. I called twice and was directed to a voicemail both times, left messages. I still have this extra charge for parking and I am annoyed that I was told one thing and charged another. I will not be staying at another Omni resort after this.
