Went on the Marine Corp Base to go walking. The areas are well manicured and this base has many stores, food places, and everything for the military to enjoy while serving America.

SO this is really for the C-20 that is based at MCBH aka 'The Grey Ghost" In military parlance, the C-20G is a militarized version of the Gulfstream G-IV. What makes this C-20G #165153 special is the wicked grey livery and the fact that it was nearly destroyed by a tornado. The plane was meticulously restored and continues to serve. It can be seen mostly hoping between Hawaii and the West Coast, but a search of the pictures database shows it to a bit of a world traveler.

We went to the Marine Corp Base for dinner at the Mongolian BBQ. You must be military or with someone in the military. The selection of meat and vegetables is still very good, chicken, pork, beef, tofu, shrimp, eggs. If you want to stir fry in some noodles those are there also. You pay based on the weight as is similar to other similar Mongolian style restaurants. Then you add on any of the many sauces. Garlic oil and spicy sauce were very good. They cook it up and then you can have all the white or fried rice and miso soup you want with it. If you want you can top it off with some ice cream after dinner. The staff was very polite. Not very crowded so took no time at all.

Excellent show. The only problem I had was the disorganization of the program. I was lost on base. This was my first time on base and they really didn't have signs where to go and where to park. It was difficult all around, however I found my way but I enjoyed the show so so much.

#SeriousFace - focused on getting my family to the sandbar safely without hubby's help (just got my captain's license!), lol!

The housing reminds me of old 50s movies and it has beautiful beaches. It's not a bad place to call home for the next year and a half.

Props to Mollie Brunn at the service counter for a really great experience. She was polite, professional, friendly, and fast. I went in to transfer a vehicle title and registration into my name and was expecting that it would take forever. I had an appointment thru the AlohaQ website that I made a week ago and went in about fifteen minutes early. The location was pretty full, so I was glad that I had an appointment. I checked in at the front and was instructed to take a seat to be called. They have an electronic sign board behind the counters so you can see your appointment number, time, and place in line. Mollie called out my name about 5 minutes later and directed me to a window that was closed. She helped me there and verified my paperwork, and instructed me how to complete it. The entire process only took less than 5 minutes, and I was done with my new title and registration in hand. Hooray!!

I made an appointment at AlohaQ several weeks ago, arrived 20 minutes early, and was greeted by a nice lady. She asked if I had an appointment and if I had all the documents filled out, which I did in advance, and she checked me in for my appointment. She then had me sit in the orange seat section of the waiting area. I must have lucked out because the appointment before me was a no show so I got called up pretty quickly and was helped by a very nice local lady. After a quick eye test and picture, I was done in less than 10 minutes and I was walking out the door 5 minutes before my scheduled appointment time. I see the negative reviews, but my experience here was absolutely wonderful. I don't normally post reviews, but felt I needed to share my positive experience to let others know that Windward City Satellite City Hall has amazing staff and the process can be quick and painless, especially if you have all of your paperwork filled out in advance. Thank you to the ladies that helped me today. You are awesome!

You can be the best driver, but you come across a bad driver, all it takes is a bad driver and someone can end up dead. You really need to look ahead, plan ahead in case a car is coming towards you, and see where you can pull over to let oncoming traffic go. It's also recommended that you go West to East on the highway (come up from the South) as the hardest part of the highway is the West part. You also can't honk to warn you're coming down the road as to people's surprise, people do live in that area on that puny road. You have been warned.

The journey includes the best majestic coastal views and lush greenery I have ever seen. The kicker? The road hugs the edge of the sea cliffs and is very narrow (often just one lane), with many blind curves and no guard rails. One-lane bridges are common, requiring drivers to yield to oncoming traffic. Kahekili Highway was one of the mountain roads very few people knew about - which is probably what made me love it even more. I was excited and scared at the same time. My adrenaline was pumping from a combination of the picture-perfect views and the possibility of meeting another oncoming vehicle on the narrow cliff. Road to Hana was way too touristy. When everyone I spoke to and every blog told me to do it, I should have stayed away from the overrated ride that left me underwhelmed.

What do you do when there's a mountain in your way?…read more Blast a hole in it and make a tunnel! That's what finally happened after about 30 years of planning, local protests, and lots of controversy. Halawa Valley is the site of some ancient Hawaiian artifacts and sacred grounds. The people were trying to preserve their heritage. The Government assured them that the area wouldn't be harmed as the freeway would be built above the site... and so it happened... The Tetsuo Harano tunnels are a pair of the longest tunnels on the Island of Oahu. Inside, they are beautifully tiled with a glossy blue to white fade theme. There was a Fun Run/Walk before the tunnels were opened up to vehicles. I had a chance to see the beautiful tiles up close! In 1997, the side-by-side tunnels (almost a mile long each) were opened for use at the cost of approximately $80 billion per mile - the most costly highway in the USA! With the help of Federal Funding, the Interstate H-3 connected the Windward side of Oahu with the Halawa area. My coworkers who live on the Leeward side of the island were so happy when the tunnels were built. Now, they don't have to drive around the Koolau Mountain Range to get to our hospital in Kaneohe! When you drive through the tunnels, you will see some of the most awesome views of Oahu! Keep your eyes open as you emerge from the opposite end!
