When I called to cancel my stay the person who answered was extremely helpful and did the best she could to help me catch a different train and sort through the transportation issues I was having. Unfortunately I was still unable to make it to Lagos with the ability to make the most out of my short stay and ended up canceling. They were kind enough to waive any charges, despite me canceling very last minute. I truly hope I am able to travel to Lagos one day so I can fully experience this hotel.

Breakfast (included with my room) was OK, but things were grossly undercooked and the most plentiful items were lunch meats (weird). Dropping 3-5 euro each time you want water is nuts. Considering they warn you not to drink the tap water, there should be other options available besides bottled water. The beer and wine is actually cheaper * No small towels available at/for the gym. Though there's a big sign on the wall to wipe down after you use a machine, I was instructed to bring down a room towel to do so. Double weird considering the gym is in the spa, which is FULL of towels. * The mini bar shouldn't be called a bar. It's a little fridge with 3 waters in it. So, it's a mixed bag here. Many of the problems above are easy to fix, so maybe changes will be made soon. Overall, come here if you have a family and want an all-inclusive experience in the area and don't really care to try the local cuisine. Don't come here as a solo traveler who likes to explore.

Our bags were taken to our room and we were given basic info and welcome glasses of champagne. Our room was gorgeous, with a bathtub, shower, toilet room, jack and Jill sinks and a large king bed. The TV was great for casting music as well. The mini bar came stocked and was included in our all inclusive package. The food at the main restaurant for dinner was great, much better than you'd typically expect at an all inclusive buffet. The chef spoke to me briefly and he's wonderful. The pools are a little confusing as there are technically 3, but all are labeled around the building as Pool, so I ended up at the bean/kid pool several times on accident. Poolside drink and snack service is available but if you're hungry you can eat at the pool side restaurant which is nearby the main pool. The resort also has direct beach access. There are some sports courts, a gym and free exercise programming, along with fun and inclusive programming like fado dinner, cooking classes and kids art classes. Drinks here are great and another highlight of the resort. There are water refill areas throughout the resort which are very handy. This resort also has one meeting room space for events and can seat up to 230 and has lots of natural light. The front desk staff can arrange taxi rides for you but the car service is not directly associated with the hotel. This hotel is also an IHG property, so you can earn rewards during your stay.

We bought in - roughly 50EU per night - okay with food and drink we should be able to hit that even if we don't spend the full day at the hotel ... it is nowhere close to all inclusive ... any beverage with a a spirit - think rum and coke - espresso martini - margarita - anything other than house wine ... not included!!!! Also I thought okay I will make it up not having to pay for food - food is extremely limited - breakfast is until 10am ... no grill orders until 1pm (lunch) which closes 2 hours later @ 3pm and then 3 1/2 hours to dinner. I don't want to be captive at the resort until 1 or 2 pm to have lunch... I am not a big breakfast person so my lunch at the snack bar - limited to what is in the display case - a bowl of chickpeas ... tried a shredded chicken wrap but it was drenched in mayonnaise - I hate mayonnaise. I asked if I could cancel the AI and go back to normal - front desk - nope! Asked about a car to the airport - not helpful there either - must book 48 hours in advance - we were at 43 hours ... no offer to call and check availability. Asked about tours to places - here is one operator and that is all we have. I don't have a lot of experience with AI but this seems extremely limited. We did one at an Iberostar in Costa Rica and it was great - the limit was premium spirits which is understandable but there wasn't a soft drink charge on every basic mix drink with a spirit in it. So if you drink 6 to 12 beers or wine per day and eat at the Buffett for every meal breakfast to 10am - lunch in the 2 hours window 1pm to 3pm and no real food until 6:30pm then it should work for you. The service is okay - I would not call this a 4* facility - it is basic ... pretty and close to the beach but basic
