Purchased a 3 day/72 hr ticket for our stay. This ticket must be used to scan in and out of the garage, the machine stated that a photo of the ticket would suffice. Our family of 4 was sharing the car, so I shared a clear photo of the ticket for us all to easily access in case the ticket was not in the car. Sure enough, my Mom had the ticket in the hotel while my sister and I were parking the car so we tried to use the photo but it would not scan. With cars blocking us in and getting impatient, we were forced to get another ticket to be let through. We tried to call the number of the garage on Google but nobody picked up since it was past 8 pm. The next day we attempted to leave the parking garage with our original ticket but it did not work. The new ticket we grabbed also did not work so we were stuck at the exit with cars piling behind us again. We used the call for service on the ticket machine to explain our situation. The person we spoke to tried to claim our ticket expired and we needed to pay the late fee but there was no option to do so on the screen. What was very frustrating was that we purchased the ticket at 9 am on the 8th which we thought wouldn't expire until 9 am on the 11th (72 hours) as the machine stated. The person on the other line did not understand this, rudely insisting we were wrong and the ticket would expire on 9 am of the 10th, since the 8th to the 10th is "3 days". After a ridiculous back and forth, he eventually asked for the ticket number and opened the gate due to the impatient cars behind us. That incident was very stressful and unnecessarily time-consuming, there were no employees present in the garage and there never are. The person we spoke to through the machine was rude, inconsiderate, unprofessional, and did not give clear instructions. We did not return to park at the garage. The price is great but don't rely on a photo of the ticket. read more

Parking in Waikiki... Yes it's not the most pleasant experience if you're unfamiliar with the locations and places that do validate as the prices has increased to a point of rent. Back in the olden daze I remember parking here to go to the movies...now who remembers that lol! Here we are now as the Ilikai Marina is home to several biz like Red Lobster, Harbor Pub and where we went tonight San Paolo for pizza and having a late start to the day ran behind and knew I had no choice but to park here and did get lucky to find a stall immediately as each level has just a small amount available though be mindful that you're going to neighboring places that does validate which San Paolo did as current rates are $5 for every 30 minutes...yikes and payments are by credit card only. Grab a ticket when you first enter and then pay for your daily parking to receive a new ticket at the kiosk downstairs. When you first leave the garage you'll need to scan both tickets to link them. Was staying at the Hilton Hawaiian village and parking is like $75 a day, And found this garage in walking distant that was $30 a day and you can get a week pass with unlimited in and out. Parking garage is conveniently located and very clean, even the elevator were nice. Overall will park here again if I come back to the area. read more

This was a great parking garage for the nearby hotels in Hilton Hawaiian Village. It was around a 6-minute walk. Instead of the exorbitant parking prices of $50-$70+ a day, we paid only $28 a day here. You can also get an overnight parking pass to get in and out privileges. If you stay in Honolulu for a while, you can get a 5-day pass and then get another one after 5 days are up. If you need help, there's usually a worker in the office near the machine that can walk you through the process. How the pass works: - Get a ticket when you first come in and keep that ticket. - Buy a pass for however many days you need at the machine near the parking entrance. - When you leave, scan the first ticket and then the pass. - In the future, you will only need to scan the pass to go in and out until the 5 days are up. - Repeat the process if you stay for longer than 5 days. read more

For people that need instructions on how to park overnight using the guest pass. This is probably the cheapest spot that you can get in Waikiki if you have a rental car that has in-and-out privilages. Price was increased to $33/night versus your typical hotel average cost of $60+/night. Seen a lot of reviews for break-in, but that's probably said to most garages. Make sure to leave no belongings in the car even if it is hidden. Quite tricky to figure out how the Overnight Guest pass work, but when you first go into the garage, take your ticket as normal. When you park, go to the first floor to find the parking booth ticket. You can select up to 5 days (you can return back if you need more days after the 5 day expires). Pay the parking rate. It will print out a new ticket. Keep the entrance ticket and the new ticket. You will need both when you exit. 1st time exit: You will scan your entrance ticket that you got first. It will ask you to pay. You will go ahead and scan your overnight pass. It will link your first ticket to the overnight guest pass and the system will clear the payment and allow you to go through. Returning to park: DO NOT take another new ticket. You will need to scan your Overnight Guest pass ticket and it will allow you to go back in to park. This will be your permanent ticket to scan to enter and exit now. IMPORTANT NOTE: DO NOT LOSE THE TICKET. Highly recommended to just keep in your car. You will not be refunded. TLDR: 1) Enter by grabbing a new entrance parking ticket 2) 1st floor, go to the ticket booth and buy overnight guest pass 3) When exiting for the first time, scan your entrance ticket first, then scan your overnight guest pass to link up the ticket. 4) When returning to park again, do not grab a new entrance ticket. We found this parking garage with our Airbnb host's recommendation. Over night it's 28 dollar per day, you can buy an overnight pass so you can go in and out anytime you want during the day. Very easy to pay and WAY cheaper than the Hilton overnight parking (currently $70). It was great to be able to pay per hour ($1 per hour) here since we didn't need it for a full 24 hours. I believe you need to repurchase every 24 hours if not moving your car every day. The ticket kiosk was broken and it didn't eject the ticket after purchase. The person before me had the same problem. It was difficult to hear the customer service person through the kiosk speaker. I suggest just calling the telephone number posted and on your ticket. I interacted with the garage maybe 10 or more times to try to get a refund for 5 days of purchased parking. I was reassured everything would be taken care of but after providing information then documentation then more documentation my credit card company recommended I dispute the transaction. One could be cynical and think they were stalling a refund but I just think it was inefficient. Regardless it was frustrating. I did notice a number of people having problems exiting the garage. The ticketing system really needs to be upgraded. Otherwise the garage was fine. I always found parking, I didn't notice any signs of break-ins. So I park here because it's by my apartment. Most times I'm pretty safe there. My car was broken into on the north shore so my window was a plastic one, and someone broke into it again here. Obviously I had nothing in it and a lock on my wheel so he/she couldn't drive away with my car. So that's frustrating because we pay for safety monthly. There was nothing in the car that was showing either. Obviously I had cleared everything out. So there was no need to break in. But general rule of thumb is don't leave backpacks and purses etc in plain sight. The service here is WONDERFUL for them I give it 5 stars!! They're so sweet and so helpful!! It can get packed. So just don't try to park at peak times (dinner time) or holidays. I mean you can try but that's when most spots are taken. Parking attendant very rude. Claims she is the manager. She has no management skills to solve problems. I ate at Cinnamons and had a great and relaxing brunch. The validation was an ink stamp and lady manger of the Ilikai marina parking lot claimed it was not valid. She said the restaurant was supposed to give me stickers and I had to pay more than triple the parking fee. She wouldn't call the restaurant and said it was their fault. She was quick to blame them and not the parking lot's fault. I think she needs to get retrained as a manager with more leadership skills. It was a no win situation. Parking lot is above Red Lobster, looks sketchy at first but it's pretty safe. Not the cleanliness though but area is safer than parking on the streets. What a nightmare- you can get in fine. It's there getting out part that's the problem. Sort of like Hotel California lol. The scanner wasn't reading the bar code on the ticket, no one on site to help, had to use the button to speak to someone. Don't fall for the $8 for 10hrs if you're parking over night. There are no parking attendants working over night but they leave the big "$8 for 10hrs" sign to trick you. If you park here overnight when no parking attendant is on duty they'll charge you $23+. When trying to leave the parking garage this morning, before my 10hrs was up, the parking attendant said that there was a sign saying you need to come by at 7am to receive the $8 special - this is a lie, I photographed every single sign at the entrance. It was not a great experience for me at this garage. It costs $28 per day, which is reasonable given its prime location on par with the local market rate. I traveled with my family so we needed to go in and out through out the day. They do have full day option for max $28 per day BUT it does NOT have that option when you pull a ticket when you enter the garage, thus that you will be charged $28 every time you exit the garage on the same day. When I called for assistance at the exit, I was told to "look on the right to pay". I was confused what are they talking about, and eventually I noticed ANOTHER console on the right ~20 ft away (looks exactly like the one at the exit), that you have to exit the car, next to the elevator to pay for the ticket as a whole day, then come back to scan the receipt for the gate to open. WOW! meanwhile a line of cars behind us. I was wondering who was the genius that thought of using two exact machines to pay separately, which costs double to acquire and maintain. One machine can easily add the all day option. This has caused unnecessary stress that we came to HI to relax from. Parked there for 2 hrs on Wednesday, 18th August 21 from 240 until 340pm for which I believed was supposed to be the day rate of 8$. On my way out the attendant told me I have to pay $32 which is more than the overnight rate. He stated i have to pay that since I didn't pay in advance which I was not told when I called . He did not want to honor the $8 rate and finally reluctantly charged the rate for the $23 overnight parking . While i was trying to talk to the attendant a what appeared to be a homeless local women which seemed to be friends with him was standing next to him and kept on rudely interrupting the conversation. If you have a Toyota Prius DO NOT PARK YOUR CAR HERE. Your catalytic converter will get stolen, I repeat it will get stolen. This happened to my car and my friends Prius a couple weeks apart. There are signs saying that the garage itself is not reliable for theft of any kind which does suck but I do understand if that is their policy. Hilton Grand Waikikian was $68.06/day. This garage, which is maybe only a slightly farther walk than the Hilton self parking garage, was only $28/day (24 hours). I'll just get dropped off at the hotel and have one of the young park here and walk. Save $40. So, I had to ask for myself... but by the entrance, there's a kiosk located on the right side wall (as you're exiting the garage). There you'll PRE-PAY for your 24 hours. There's a sign with instructions above the kiosk. Basically you scan original ticket you received upon entrance first, then the pre-paid ticket second. This will allow you to leave as you wish. There's unlimited in/out privileges for 24 hour from the time on your ticket (not sure but I believe it's 24 hrs from time in first ticket). To get in, I believe you scan just the first ticket. Hope this helps and is understandable. Be sure to PRE-PAY or you'll be charged by the hour and , I'm pretty sure, won't get those in/out privileges. read more

It's more convenient to use public parking lot next to yatch harbor area. You can choose number of hours from 1 to 24 (cash or credit) @ dollar per hour. Car's license plate number needs to be entered when you pay at kiosks/meters. Come in and out as and when you like as long as you didn't use up all the time. As an alternative during day time you may park free in public parking lot close by in Ala Moana Park- there is plenty of parking. There are of course warning signs posted throughout O'ahu to not to leave valuables in the cars due to break ins. read more
