So I go on Google to leave my review for the Hollywood Motel in Farmingdale, and the FIRST thing that pops up is this news article saying TWO MEN WERE FOUND UNALIVE IN THE JACUZZI. HUH?! ARE YOU SERIOUS?! That's the SAME room we stayed in! We were literally sitting in that nasty old crusty jacuzzi like it was nothing. It wasn't even remodeled or replaced. So you're telling me two people died in that tub, they bodies were found soaking in there, and y'all just cleaned it up and rented the room back out like nothing ever happened? Ain't no way. I don't even care if they bleached that thing a thousand times. The thought alone got me sick to my stomach. I'm sitting here replaying it in my head and getting goosebumps. I would've NEVER gotten in that jacuzzi if I knew what happened in that room. Isn't there some kind of law where you gotta tell people somebody died in the room? Or at least remodel the place or rip that old jacuzzi out! Instead it's the same busted, ancient tub looking like it's been there since the '80s. I'm dead serious... I don't think I'm sleeping for a month after finding this out. This whole place creeped me out before I knew the story, and now it all makes sense. Never again. One of the most disturbing motel experiences l've ever had. One star is being generous.

When we checked in showed the receptionist the service animal card and everything was fine. Around 4am my fiance and I had went to smoke a cigarette in the truck. When I walked out of the room I saw the woman staring at us in the window I had a feeling that something was gonna happen and for sure she just takes it upon herself to go in our room. Which my dog was still there and scared her. After that she was trying to get us to leave with only 50 dollars saying we never notified anyone about the dog. Or pay an extra 50 dollars for dog. She also tried to trick me to leave room so she can deactivate key card but luckily because the air conditioner was not working i left window open and was able to get in. Rm 102.We called the police and they agreed she either needs to give us full refund or let us finish out stay. She was not happy about it because she thought she was right. But I had all legal documentation for my dog. All in all you have no right to go in someones room or deny anyone for service animal unless they are be destructive or disturbing someone. She is crazy and stay away to avoid any drama if you want to have a nice night with your man or woman. She really had nothing better to do than to mess with us. Even saying I was not military becasue my cat card was expired but I had my va vard right next to it which she wouldnt even look at just kept saying I was not military.

I stayed here because it was close to the Incubus concert my friend and I had attended and we wanted to make a night of it after the show. Now, I fully expected the lovely smell of mildew that you can only get from cheap motel rooms with all-purpose carpeting that hasn't been changed since 1972 and smells oddly of pool towels left in a corner even though there is no pool. It did have it but the management had tried to somewhat remedy this by tying air fresheners to the air conditioner. you know the kind, the little ones shaped like a tree that smell like evergreen. I had to laugh because no cover up attempt was made....there they were just flapping in the breeze. I tried to get ice to no avail as the machine was broken but they had courteously provided us with plastic cups from The Howard Johnson up the street. . Pause again for blatant gaucheness. The cherry on the cake was the hooker I saw entering a room the next day at 9 freaking AM. Broadway Motor inn, you were good for a laugh but I can't explain for the life of me why we didn't book up the street at the HoJo or something?????

We had to move all our stuff and relocate, when we got to the other hot tub room also did not work so I went to the front desk and let them know they refuse to do anything but give me 10% off my next room so I pretty much was forced to buy another room if I wanted any compensation. so I bought a regular room. I was told that they don't do weekly stays come to find out they do in the room I got into was trash, torn apart. It was horrifying, but I didn't complain because what was I gonna do you not get anything back for it anyway, I was being charge 110 to 120 a night, meanwhile it's $99 a night so that was very unexpected but I had nowhere to go at the time so I stayed cleaning ladies never even came in. They complained about my service dog who is certified. Tried to make me leave. But then I guess they realize that's against the law. Meanwhile there was other dogs off leash is everywhere and I'm pretty sure they were not service animals because they were very unruly and did not act anyway a service animal would. When I checked out, I left the place cleaner than I found it. Meanwhile they're telling me I left damages. I left a review on Google before I left with the pictures of everything that was damaged. When I had arrived, it was already like that. Why would I take the pictures posted on Google and now it's gone so they took down my Google review which was the same as this with the same pictures. I tried to go back I booked a room upstairs, actually, my fiancé did, and as soon as I tried to walk, and they told me I was not allowed there anymore, because I caused damage to the room, which is not the case. The room was literally destroyed before that, and my review shows so. These people do not like transgender people or possibly people with tattoos. I'm not sure what it is it in like about me because I'm very respectful and I paid them a lot of money and didn't even complain about anything the TV not working nothing also the phone didn't work. There was no free Wi-Fi like they said there was no Wi-Fi at all, but I was blamed for the damages and after they took my fiancé's money, they threaten to not give it back so we could pay for the damages that number one were not damages, I did Number two looking at them it's a very easy fix and wouldn't cost more than $20 so oh my girlfriend came back with $20 less than she had paid. I realize she got robbed. This is a scam. This place is a dump people die in here every day, I've watched it firsthand. Nobody should ever say here unless you want to sell drugs or prostitute. All the specialties they said they have are absolutely not true the vending machines did not work there's no mini fridges no microwaves. and it says the owner is a man named Jim I was told by this young lady with glasses probably around my age like in her late 20s 30s that she owned it. And I was also told the person that worked there, Al who is super nice and super helpful all the time only one that it was 537+ tax for a week and that they had available when I spoke to her she said no she can't do that. I asked her why she couldn't give me a reason.
