My son has autism & they were all so caring & while embracing their professionalism , they all took amazing care of us. I know Megan & Ty are management , but I think corporate should make room for the other 3 stars as well. This team of employees can make any business a successful one! It was last minute her plans changed for my birthday weekend. She was trying to kill two birds with one stone. From Queens, the drive was about 30-40 minutes. We checked in around 3:00 pm today. Steve (the owner) surprised us with some good news. Phew, he found someone to book our Saturday night. We were relieved. Wow, a breathtaking view of Manhasset Bay from our room. There are complimentary hot/cold beverages and snacks by the hotel lobby. Also, don't forget your complimentary breakfast. Our room was spacious, clean, and relaxing. During my recent stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Roselyn, I had an issue with the front desk clerk where I was yelled at and disrespected that I reported to IHG customer service/support. Unfortunately, my complaint was forwarded directly to the hotel manager, who was the same person I had the issue with. This creates a clear conflict of interest, and I doubt any action will be taken to address the situation appropriately. I have stayed at multiple hotels without ever needing to write a complaint, but this experience left me feeling dismissed and unheard as a guest. I hope that corporate management will review how guest concerns are handled to ensure fair and unbiased resolutions in the future.

There is a pet fee for $175 which is comparable to many other hotels we have stayed in and there is also complimentary parking in the back, which we loved not having to look for street parking at night. The rooms are on the smaller side, but that is typical of some hotels in New York so it didn't bother us. It is also off the main road and within walking distance to a few sit-down restaurants if not wanting to drive for the night. She actually wanted to pay for the room when she booked it, but the merchant wouldn't allow it. When my sister and I checked in we were told the reservation was for 2 nights. I explained to them that my aunt, who was trying to be helpful, booked the room for us and that we would only be able to stay for one night. The people at the front desk said they couldn't do anything about it because we were outside the cancellation period. I guess that was true because my aunt booked last minute for a funeral. The people at the front dest assured me that I would receive a call from the manager to address this. Never happened. Now one might think that the appropriate response would be we're are very sorry for your loss and we understand how this happened. If you did you would be absolutely wrong. I did dispute the charge for the second day with my credit card company because I never heard from the establishment, but through months of back and forth these people still refused to budge. I would like to thank this establishment and the Hilton Corporation for making a difficult time for my family just that much worse.

My other observation is that the level of friendliness (or the lack thereof) varied dramatically based on who was on shift. I would consider going back only for the location, if I couldn't find any other place to stay. Even then, it would give me a major pause. I wish them well.
