First off, the nostalgia of 25¢ tickets is an absolute delight. Yes, rides "cost" varying amounts of tickets but it's not price-gouged at all. The rides themselves are what you'd find when the traveling carnival comes to your town. However, the stand out is the Zippin' Pippin' rollercoaster. Sure, it isn't a massive thing but it is a solid ride for what it is. If you like wooden coasters, or any coasters, you're going to enjoy this one. The rest of the rides are a mix of new and old but all seem to be well maintained and the staff is friendly to the kiddos. If you find yourself near, stop in! It is absolutely worth half a day if your time!

They had a crow, which is uncommon, but the story about imprinting on a human makes sense for why it's in captivity now. The prairie dog and badger exhibits were fun for kids to climb into the tunnel to get a close view, but the plastic needs replacing to see better. We tried to do the giraffe feeding, but since they had their main food baskets filled, they weren't interested in coming to the tower for other food, so we gave up. Overall it was a decent size zoo and we spent 2-3 hours looking at all the animals.

The NEW Zoo (NEW = Northeast Wisconsin) is small enough that you won't lose your kids, yet big enough to spend a few hours exploring. Relatively clean and easy to navigate. They could use a few more "you are here" signs around the place, but they do give out paper maps where you enter the park. My favorite were the giraffes. You can feed them for $2. They walk right up to the platform... pretty cool to look at them right in the eye! Unfortunately it was mid day and a lot of the animals were snoozing. Still saw enough to make it worth it!

It's like a mini farmers market but more festive, because there are bands playing music and activities for kids. It's just a nice place for the Green Bay community to get together and enjoy this awesome space. When I visited, there were kids rolling down the enormous artificial turf hill that's used for sledding in the winter. There was music. There were booths with people selling everything from jewelry to baked goods. The playground in Titletown is super cool. There are so many things for kids to explore, and it's great for all ages. There is also a giant football field, which visitors can use to throw footballs or kick soccer balls. Mostly, I just saw people sitting around and relaxing. Titletown is located near lots of restaurants and shops, so you can get your food to go and enjoy it outside in Titletown. And most importantly: Titletown is across the street from Lambeau Field, so when there's a game, you can hear the crowd cheering -- it's that close.

Date of visit: August 19, 2023…read more The last time we went to a Green Bay Packers game (a time when the word "pandemic" would only conjure thoughts of the Spanish Flu), this entire area didn't exist and we were pleasantly surprised and amazed at the size and variety of things going on here. We parked at the Red Lobster near the stadium and came across this area more or less by accident as we walked over to Lambeau Field. The combination of activities (how crazy is that giant hill that people were just rolling down!) and sights was quite impressive and honestly more than I would have expected from Green Bay. Mixing in the residential area with the commercial aspects was a nice touch and a model for other towns to consider for the areas surrounding their stadiums so they aren't just a massive parking lot. Should we find ourselves at another game, I would definitely explore this area more.

This is a cute little trail that goes from Green Bay to De Pere. A large portion of it is in and…read morenear Green Isle Park. This trail is much narrower and twisty than the Fox River Trail, so it seems like it would be more apt for recreational walking or jogging rather than heavy duty biking or running. The trail has decent markings so you will generally know where you are along the path. Don't be surprised to see a lot of wildlife along the way as much of the path goes through wooded areas. During my run I saw a turkey, a turtle and a large white bird.

Scientifically this area shows a geological record of forest development and destruction through…read morethousands of years of glacial advances and retreats. This area is 25 acres more or less of old field and a few scrub trees. You find it on State Highway 42, a few miles north of Two Rivers. You can enter it via the parking lot on the east side just south of the junction with County Highway BB. It is a short walk to the east side of the field. There you will stand next to a precipice bluff/cliff. If you suffer from vertigo be careful as it's a long way down. The view of Lake Mishigami (Michigan) is breathtaking as you scan from north to east to south. Even with the lake so high there is a thin beach down there. Although climbing down the bluff is not for the unfit and timid. But if you really, really want to see the layers of forest come and gone you need to see the bluffs; and that means getting down there' Other than this, the old field is a nice place to meander, walk your dog or find a spot to lay out your picnic blanket. Keep in mind there is almost always wind. If you are a geologist or a paleobotanist this place could supply fodder for a Masters' thesis. For the rest of us it's a windswept field with dangerous bluffs on one side. Still, if you appreciate gorgeous views of a beautiful lake, it would behoove you to take the short drive north of "Trivers" and check this area out. Climb down, if you have the cojones.
