Apparently, if you have an HMO you have to be self-pay because they do not take any HMO they would be considered out of network. Which I found confusing since my friend that have Kaiser go to this location and only pays her co-pay, but Hamden stated that that's not possible because she would have to be self-pay. I checked the website it actually just show some HMO's are in network. My current HMO was in the list of a network. I did the form online receive a callback from Kathy. She left a message when I called back unfortunately I got Amber again who stated that the website is not updated and they do not take any HMO in network. Everything is self-pay if it's out of network, which I find very odd but oh well I was looking forward to scheduling at this location because I've heard great things from other parents.

My son was receiving services from them for a year and half. Half way through his supervisor suddenly passed away and he was awesome ... my son's main therapist Ms Kim was also great. After the sudden passing of the supervisor the therapist were left to dry... no direction no true guidance no one truly helping them help my child. Scheduling was awful other therapist would call off often ... For at least five months there was no supervision. No progress my son regressed horribly. When a new supervisor finally came out even she was personally aware at how bad they dropped the ball with my son. She apologize several times and promised she would help make changes.... Only after a couple of weeks i noticed how she was full of broken promises as well... so I decided to take my son out the program and Ivet had the audacity to pin the task of retrieving a table that was recently bought for my child and toys WE PROVIDED on his therapist !!! When i let her know we would find services elsewhere she was careless. Over a month ago I called the company to request the latest report they made on my son to assist with applying for ihss services since they were the last took with him .... I was told someone would reach back out to me .... Never heard anything !!!! Please find a better organized company

Sometimes it's hard work, but we are seeing real changes over time. Nicole gives us practical advice and is more hands on than other bcba's we had before, and also talks to his Speech and OT directly so I don't always have to play middleman. It feels like we're not just surviving every day now. Can't recommend brightwork and Nicole enough.

She doesn't provide parent training, feedback, and has impeded us from putting our son in daycare and finish his iep Bc she dictates everything and if you question it she will threaten to stop Providing services. She is absolutely unethical in her conduct, she delayed my younger one from getting services over 9 months and kept pushing back the start time, whilst my older one for a year and a half made no progress under her and she would not provide us any data or the plan of care, would not allow us to talk to his bcba or bi, and when pushed for input would become very inappropriate and threaten termination of care. We have now been with another agency and in 2 months my son has made more progress than he had in the 1.5 years he was at Brightwork. Stay away.
