The shirt is too small and I went into the store today to simply exchange for a larger size or a different shirt if they didn't have a larger size. The lady at the front counter was not understanding in the least that I simply wanted to get an item that fit. Tags still on the item. They have lost this customer for sure and I hope that this review helps others to avoid the same situation.

Fromt he words of an expert on women's boutiques - 'This is the nicest one I've ever been in'. Honestly, from the outside, the industrial feel of all the buildings on this block tricks your expectations of what you will find when you go inside. The inside is quite elegant. The shop is well thought out and the items are displayed such that you can see everything without needing to dig through countless racks to see what they have. The person working was exceptionally friendly and helpful to my wife as she looked for some of the items that they had on display in the window. Also, very classy fitting room area. Store is very clean and the obviously take great pride in their appearance. Highly recommend shopping here if you like going to women's boutiques.

The prices could be considered expensive but I recently went to Malibu where a sweatshirt cost $300 so .... Expensive is relative. It's more than Walmart clothes, less than Versace. Anyway they have really nice clothing: butter soft satin blouses, puffy sleeve mini dresses and belted high waisted skirts. I didn't purchase anything but it was really classy and stylish and actually one of the prettiest stores I have ever been in (including the above Malibu ref), so I saw no reason to deduct any stars. I'll be happy to stop by again in the future, and maybe have the good fortune of finding a gorgeous new piece for my wardrobe.

And, the Something Blue Shoppe isn't just any dress shop. It comes packed full of people who care about the community and care about you! I have had one semi-bad experience there, but it was years ago, and they were packed. The shop is a little small for the number of people they get flowing through the doors, but overall, it is a great place. There are two different shops, and they reign right beside each other on the beautiful downtown stretch of Hartselle Alabama. The prom dress story is the one that many Yelp users have added pictures of, but the original store is a bridal boutique. I have been to both. The bridal boutique is by far my favorite of the two because of the care and intentionality of the staff. It never ceased to amaze me how in tune the team is to what a bride should feel like in "the" dress. Lve the store!

As someone who had never tried on a wedding dress, having Emily assist me was extremely helpful. She waited outside the changing room to help zip up or clip together all the dresses, which I really appreciated. At some other salons, I was left to fend for myself and half the time couldn't get the dresses completely zipped up. I actually ended up going with a dress Emily picked out, which I think is a testament to her expertise on what a bride is specifically looking for. A few weeks later, I got a lovely card in the mail from Emily congratulating me on saying yes to the dress. I can't wait to wear my dress for my wedding in March!
