I told Velma 'long layers' and 'cut off only an inch' over and over, and she repeated it over and over. I explained that if it was too short, it would be puffy. She repeated that too. And then, suddenly, before I knew it -- while keeping the far back fairly long -- she had chopped the sides and front shockingly short. She then stuck gel in it until it was crispy and dry. I had to go home and wash and deep-condition it immediately. Velma is very nice -- hence the two stars -- but that is it. She spoke about retiring -- she's older -- and perhaps that is an issue: that once she was good but should not be cutting hair anymore if she cannot follow directions -- even those she has repeated herself.

However the person actually touching my hair was not that great. This assistant burned my forehead during bleaching session, tugged and was so rough with my hair. Did not apply the dye properly leaving patchy work. I washed my hair twice with proper care: using cold water, purple depositing shampoo, blue depositing conditioner. The color fell out so fast and is now an ugly patchy mess.
