My wife and I went to Linda Winship for marriage counseling. I'm a fan. I've been to a few…read moretherapists, and Linda is my favorite. Linda has a funny personality. She puts you at ease well, isn't stuffy, and is generally a fun person to interact with. I think her quirky personality makes her easy to talk to and get along with. Even with her friendly personality, she knows how to direct the sessions. She also seems practical as we had homework and gave advice for our issues. She seemed to be eager to help us on our problems instead of just being a "listener." She seems non-judgmental and fair. With other counselors, I might have felt some sort of bias against certain things, but I didn't get that vibe from Linda. She didn't jump to conclusions much. If she did, she did a good job filtering out any bias or judgement. She also started and ended our sessions on time. I appreciated that. Also, we had 8 free session through my insurance. After the 8 sessions, she gave an option to continue or not. I liked how she gave us an option to continue. And she didn't give any pressure to continue seeing her if we didn't need to. I believe that unless you have severe issues, you shouldn't need to see a therapist forever. They should be able to help you deal with your issues and let you move on. I think Linda is that type of therapist. If you're in need of a therapist for whatever issue, I recommend Linda Winship.

I continued to see Linda for counseling twice a week for two years, and in June 2013, I moved to Arizona, and it was difficult to find a psychiatrist for medication much less a therapist. Linda has afforded me the opportunity to continue therapy via telephone conference at first once a week and now every two weeks. I have never met a more compassionate person in my life. Everything is for the good of the patient. Any person needing psychological counseling for anything would be doing themselves a favor by seeking counsel from Linda Winship.

I wouldn't say summits edge is horrible but my experience was a waste of money. I felt like a case study that is applying the same techniques that anyone would. It could be cultural or maybe just the age of therapist and lacking empathetic ability. Definitely try others before committing to one. are we in the business of fixing everything? or accepting parts. its like hiring a lawyer who doesnt believe you. step 1. rip down my walls or their percieved idea of my walls. 2. ask flippant and contrary questions that give "thought" 3.pretend to really understand 4. wait till patient ask your opinion 5.build them up 6. rip them down again i increase confusion and anxiety after each secssion. i rather just watch ted talks..read books than to hear the same information..therapy must must be more than this. why pay to be manipulated. I need a honest ..yet soft therapist to pricess years of repressed feelings. not write ot off and tell me "but adults you can make decisions " no shit. she barely skim yhe surface of my entirety. im found another therapist that comes highly recommended and much more experienced by age..she gave me my first secssion and such a drastic vibe. It is surprisingly difficult to find a psychiatric provider who is both clinically excellent and…read moregenuinely kind. It is even harder to find one who accepts insurance. I feel incredibly fortunate to have found Dr. Sadaf Khan. From the very first phone call to the moment I left the office, every interaction was warm, welcoming, and professional. Sadaf took the time to really get to know me. She carefully reviewed my history, listened without making me feel rushed, answered my questions thoughtfully, and treated me with genuine compassion and respect. As a nurse practitioner myself, I have very high standards when it comes to healthcare providers. I notice the little things, and I value clinicians who combine strong clinical judgment with empathy. Sadaf exceeded my expectations in every way. If you are looking for psychiatric care in the Roswell area, I would recommend her without hesitation. It is rare to find someone who is knowledgeable, compassionate, takes insurance, and truly makes you feel heard.
