I am over the moon to have finally found a salon and stylist/owner, Tomy, who is a genius with…read morecolor. He understands Asian hair and how to lift it to a beautiful blond without looking brassy. I have bounced around to different Fort Lauderdale salons after moving here 5 years ago and couldn't quite find a perfect fit with the dozen or so places I have tried out. I wanted an easy low maintenance blond (yes I know, no such thing with blond), and Tomy came through. I came in with three layers of color- dark roots about 2 inches long, bleached muddy blond through the middle and orange ends. It was a disaster grow out. I had a consult with Markie for blonde highlights and to blend in my roots but since Markie couldn't do highlights at the moment, she deferred me to Tomy. I didn't know I was in for a treat. I showed Tomy pics of what I wanted and he insisted that the color I wanted would wash me out and that I would not be happy with the maintenance since I wanted low maintenance. Initially, I was disheartened but I can appreciate his honesty and after he explained what he thought would work better for me yet achieve something close to what I was looking for. I thought I came in for a consult but he worked me in between his clients so that he could show me what he could achieve yet still make me happy. Mind you, the salon was super busy but the man is a multitasking genius! He did a toner and root scrape while Markie did my haircut and Yasleen did my blowout. Did I mention that my color was a disaster? Well, 2 hours later, what was flat and orange and 3 different colors was now bright, golden and well blended. My dark roots melted into the blond so seamlessly, you would think Michelangelo painted it himself. I absolutely love the results!

I needed the color to blend in, so she just suggested how it will look better. I was not too happy with her suggestions but it did look okay. She trimmed my hair and then styled. That is what I liked about Ari, she is friendly, and concerned about her clients. My hair is fine but has some natural curl , and she appreciated this. I get tired of stylists who seem to dislike fine hair haha. My friend in Dania also has fine hair and suggested Ari, I am glad she did. My hair style looks good and I know I found my stylist on a long-term basis. I definitely recommend her services if you are planning to hire her for your new look. However, the place is small and cannot accommodate many people, so I suggest you schedule an appointment before you go.

Hopefully he can't remove my review here because the one I posted on google is removed…read more He smoked his vape inside the salon while I had my five month old with me. I initially scheduled an appointment for a bleach root touch up but chose to get a balayage. The person who I thought was going to do my hair told me the owner, Kevin was going to cut my hair and he would do the rest. After I saw them go back and forth about the length I wanted cut, the owner disregarded what both of us told him, I asked for half an inch to be cut because I emphasized I wanted to keep my length. He cut off six inches of my hair in total all around my head, while thinning out my hair without asking me. Then when it came to the actual dying process of my hair- both the worker who said he was going to do my hair and the owner were having a discussion and asked me to show them a photo of the tone I wanted for my balayage so I showed them my Inspo video. I emphasized that I wanted to keep my tone of blonde. The owner went ahead and did my hair and the worker admitted to me that he was arguing with the owner about what they were going to do to my hair because the owner wouldn't listen to anything I asked for. So my length from the front to the back of my head is gone, I'll need extensions to replace the hair he cut off all around- and I have black streaks in my blonde hair, while my roots are untouched and harsh. He refused to fix it, even after I provided video of what was wrong with my hair. I asked more than ten times and practically begged if he could fix it and he refused stating that there is nothing wrong with his work and was defensive and blamed me for why my hair came out the way it did. Also stating that my hair "had no shape" which is why he took it upon himself to thin out my entire head without asking me. His worker told me to come in a few days later and I did, but instead of fixing my hair I was met with two people who worked next door screaming his refund policy in my face and then, the owner started smoking his vape in front of my newborn. I was in tears over this entire situation my hair, the stress I experienced from the complete lack of professionalism and just straight up carelessness. He refused to fix my hair, refused to refund, refused a partial refund, and at some point I was willing to let him cut off my hair he worked on so I can get my money back because he insisted his product was more important than the hair that I lost, stating he wouldn't give me a refund because his product was used and the service was done. I have cried everyday since he touched my hair because it's jagged and choppy all over, it looks like I have split ends, he gave me bangs that I didn't ask for and they're cut un even, that his worker proceeded to tell me my hair "looks like a knife cut through it". He shattered my self esteem, humiliated me inside of his salon. He cut off the hair I grew while my baby was growing in my stomach, and proceeded to smoke while my baby was inside of the salon with me. Then he messaged me on IG stating that I can't scare him by asking him for a refund. In no way was I trying to scare him into giving me a refund. I asked if he was willing to fix my hair more than ten times before I asked for a refund. I can't get back the hair he cut off, my self esteem is at its lowest, and amount of times I've cried over my hair, I barely can get myself to look in the mirror. Please be aware of this if you're considering this salon. Please be careful with all the good reviews and his instagram bio that states "bleach expert". Also keep in mind that after he charges you, he will change the price after you paid and charge more, then refuse to give you a receipt. That in itself is an extremely red flag.
