Marsha did an amazing job on my daughter's hair. She only colored the bottom portion of her very long hair, it is was an amazing match. The previous bleach damaged hair was back to a normal healthy brunette hair. Marsha was careful with the colors and ensured that there were some highlights on the bottom so the hair did not look one dimensional in color. It was so soft and beautiful. In the last year, I had chemo treatment and lost my hair. Marsha cut my long wig to move and be more like my hair, since she has cut my hair for so many years. I received so many compliments on my wig and how natural it looked. Now that my hair is slowly growing back, Marsha has been giving me tips on how to style or play with my new growth. Marsha is honest and tells you why a certain hair style that you might be admiring will not work with your type of hair. Not all hair is the same, and Marsha is very educated on hair and knows what works best with your hair. A few arduous days later she was rushed to the hospital and fell into a coma. 68 days in the hospital. 1 1/2 months in a coma. 1 month in a physical rehab center. She has undergone multiple forms of chemotherapy up to this day. Through it all, she continues to keep her head up. She has received countless blessings and having her with us today is a blessing in itself. Her most recent combination of medications in chemotherapy resulted in her losing her hair. A common side effect of treatment. After two years of being strong, keeping her faith, and having good humor, I witnessed a side effect that isn't labeled on any medication. She didn't feel beautiful. My grandma has always been and continues to be beautiful in my eyes. The fact that she saw herself as anything less, broke my heart. People say, it's just hair. True, it is just hair when it's a choice. When you lose your hair to illness, it can effect you more than a drastic haircut you know will grow back. All my life I've been told how beautiful my hair is and how I should never cut it. Like I said before, it's a choice. It's my choice. Just as my grandma has chosen to selflessly be there for me, I chose to be there for her. Thanks to Hair Couture Designs, all that has become possible! They made a wig out of my hair for my grandma that has brought light to her beautiful face! She absolutely sparkles! Hand tied, cut, and dyed to perfection! She says it's extremely comfortable too!
