It took a little over 2 hours, but was done very gently and professionaly, with an incredible outcome. I am.extremely happy with the new dentist I found, and highly recommend him to everyone who is either afraid of the dentist or just dont know who to trust... I am so happy with the service, experience, staff and doctor that I am taking my own intuitive to recommend this group: Dental Center at CountryWalk Dr. Jorge Abril 15721 SW 152 Street Miami, FL 33187 305-233-3335 They have 5 dentists, including a pediatric dentist. I recommend this group, and Dr. Abril especially, based on the outstanding experiences I had.

I am writing this review to share my personal experience at my son's dental appointment today, and…read moreI sincerely hope other parents read this before bringing their children here. Based on what happened, I personally would not recommend this facility for pediatric care. My son is three years old, freshly three, and this was his first visit with this particular doctor (a white male with medium-length light brown hair). From the moment he came in, I felt he lacked warmth, patience, or any effort to build trust with my child. If you work with children--especially toddlers--your priority should be helping them feel safe. That never happened today. I explained that the previous dentist in the same office had advised against fluoride treatment for now because my son can't spit well yet. The doctor responded in a way that made me feel like he thought I was lying, saying something like, "I've never heard him say no to fluoride for any kids." It was dismissive, unprofessional, and set the tone for everything that followed. The worst part of the appointment--what truly left me shaken--was how physically forceful he and the assistant were with my son. This is my experience, but it genuinely felt aggressive and insensitive. My son is not a misbehaved child; he just gets scared when he feels pressured. Instead of trying to comfort him or gain his trust, they pushed forward with the exam while he was clearly terrified. And I want to make this very clear: I was not just standing there watching. I was underneath my son, physically holding him. I was alone--no partner, no extra hands, no emotional support--just me trying to keep my child calm while two adults leaned over both of us. I think I went into a state of shock. I kept thinking, Is this really happening? My maternal instinct was screaming, but the situation escalated so fast, and I felt trapped with two people on top of us pushing forward with the procedure. Near the end, the doctor leaned over to grab a tool from the tray, and from my perspective, he put a significant amount of his body weight onto my son's head. My son is three. That level of force on such a tiny child was horrifying to witness, especially from a professional who should know better. Then he actually yelled at my son to "stop." Yelling at a terrified toddler during his first dental experience is unacceptable. That's when I said, "Okay, we're done." He replied, "Yeah, we're done," and then he turned to me and said something that stunned and offended me: that I needed to "reinforce bad behavior." He doesn't know my son. He doesn't know how I parent. To say something so judgmental, while we were still trying to process what had just happened, was completely out of line. When the appointment ended, I walked out shaking. My son was crying. I was crying. I called the office immediately to file a complaint. I felt violated as a parent, and I felt like my son had been violated as a patient. The force used, in my experience, was absolutely inappropriate for a three-year-old and could have caused harm physically or emotionally. My son's first dental experience should not have involved being held down, pressured, yelled at, and having metal tools forced into his mouth while two adults leaned over us. No child deserves that. No parent should have to go through that alone. For these reasons, I personally cannot recommend this office for pediatric dental care. My experience was traumatic, and other parents deserve to be warned.

Wow. Great service. Fantastic dental care. 5 stars!…read more I first came to Deering Dental in January 2025 for a cleaning. The girls at the front desk--Maria, Jailene, and Keylin are very nice. They offered complimentary amenities! Not basic stuff either First time I've ever had this level of service at a dentist, or any doctor. Erys was my hygienist. He was kind and explained everything to me. You can watch Netflix, Hulu, etc while waiting. You have your own dedicated TV. Dr. Villena saw me and put together a good plan for needed dental work. They have special technology to visualize bacteria attacking the teeth; the tech shows tooth health at each layer. Deering Dental is superior to a typical dental office. Very impressed. Flexible pricing with a discount for paying up front, in full. At the end, they gave me a welcome package. Including great dental products and my choice of a gift card The package is easily worth $50+. They offer this to their new customers. I was supposed to be seen in July. I needed to expedite my dental plan due to a filling from a (good) prior dentist coming out recently. I came in on June 9th for an evaluation. Velma--another hygienist--was thorough and nice. She and Dr. Pinto explained the urgency of my situation. They gave me specialized products to get my oral health back on track. Today, Dr. Pinto and Velma saved my wisdom tooth. They showed me how close I was to needing a root canal. I avoided it. I'm so grateful. The entire staff is great. This is how medicine should be practiced. Thank you Deering Dental!

I have worked in the online technology world and recognize the strategy of people posing trashy and fake reviews and then demanding money to change them. The fact that "Harry B." is a one time poster and that "Shay R." posts multiple restaurant reviews on the same day (obviously she's not having 3 lunches and 3 dinners on that day --especially in FL, VA and CA)! Yelp should remove these two defamatory posts.

I've been going to this office for over a decade and both my children did as well until they moved out of state. I'm not one of those people blessed with perfect teeth who never need anything more than a cleaning. I work hard at my dental hygiene and have now gotten to a good place. I only mention these things so you know that I've had a wide range of work done by Dr. Fensin, fillings and crowns among them. Always a positive experience. Her husband is an eye doctor and practices out of the same office. My experience with him has been the same. It's convenient that they are in the same office. I've always gotten kind and competent medical care from both of them. I know I'll be moving in the next year (250 miles away) and already dread having to shop around for new providers. I will miss them.
