We had the most delicious oysters from the Po river delta, raw and cooked red shrimp from Sicily, swordfish tartare with pistachios, and amberjack tartare with bottarga dishes. Staff was very helpful in telling us about the different seafood, its origins and what is local to Italy. They also offer truffle dishes when in season. A true gem!

It was very quiet for lunch... guessing ppl come for dinner. But their AM service for takeaway is very popular. It reminds me of those deli that had pre-made specials. Cozy space, a few tables... surrounded by bottles and bottles of wine. They don't open until 12:30 for lunch... The Fork gave us a 12pm seating... so we just hung out at the Mercado next door and then chilled outside. We ordered the highly recommended "red shrimp", this is nasty... I don't like the consistency at all... it doesn't taste fresh... it's mushy.. and it almost didn't make it into my belly... (gag..); we got the Irish oysters... it says "sweet"... if by sweet means loaded with sea water then ok. Salty AF. I enjoyed the anchovies over butter toasts.. that was delicious. We split a pasta with red shrimp (ordered it bc my friends wanted to try), I wanted the lobster. I didn't enjoy this pasta at all. We split the amberjack... which was oven baked with very heavy wine sauce... and mushy mushrooms and potatoes. I liked the fish... it was nice, flakey and flavorful. So, the only reason why this is not a 2 stars experience is bc of the anchovies toasts and the fish. For a €160... we deserved better food. I wouldn't go out of my way for this spot. Ciao!

Best seafood in Milan....No! Best seafood in the world…read more This restaurant is for foodies no doubt. This hidden gem is off the beaten path and probably for the locals too. Reservations are highly recommend and just walking in is not going to work. Every reserved table had a card with someone's name on it. However, since we were ignorant to the reservation requirements we begged and pleased and eventually the NYC charm worked. The owner Cristian embodies the term hospitable by seating us, engaging us in conversations and then leading our dinner like the conductor of an orchestra. He asked if we had any restrictions and the answer of NO seemed to be the exact guidance he needed. This Sardinian family owned business doesn't disappoint. Trattoria Del Pescatore serves up the most tantalizing plates of foods filled with the freshest ingredients and the most delicate tasting seafood I have ever eaten anywhere. This chef certainly has a magic touch and is adept at the use of seasoning and flavors. A trio of fish crudos along with raw langostines and raw shrimp was followed by a classic Octupus salad. Next came a broiled scallop encrusted in ground pistachio. Mussels in white wine was next as the parade of plates continued. Just as I thought if could not get any better came a plate of freshly made risotto with mixed seafood. I want to emphasize fresh because many restaurants tend not to make risotto fresh because it can taker upwards of 40 minutes. This risotto was pure perfection cooked Al dente and tasting like the sea. Everything served up to this point tasted like it had just come out of the ocean. Our final course was a lobster salad creation which is credited to restaurants in Sardinia however is modified by the local chefs addition of tomatoes and red onions. Legend has it that this variant has become so popular over the years that restaurants back in Sardinia have change their original recipes to match. I believe it. No matter what you order don't leave without ordering this dish. Our host was most generous as I believe this is his way of treating people who appreciate good food. The service all evening was a match to the food with waiters buzzing around and being attentive to every need. From clearing dishes, to serving food and refilling wine and water everything was done with a smile. I hope that this review acts as a signpost for this restaurant. "When in Milan eat at here now!"

For example, I had a salad ant there is bar in the middle of the restaurant that is loaded with fresh vegetables. It is here that my salad was constructed. Our waiter added the vinegar and oil. + The servers are all long-time professionals. Well dressed and enjoying what they do - total pro's + The prosciutto (also sliced and prepared within eye-sight is as good as any I've ever eaten. + The pasta with shrimp and squid was outstanding. And the prices were great too! The wine list may be a bit expensive for a full bottle but I believe they are very very good wines. The staff was very accommodating to us "Americanos" and did very well speaking English to us. I can't believe they have such few reviews! Appetizers were €5-15 and main dishes €10-40, sides and desserts €5-12. It really is mainly the wine list that can be pricey. I'm sure they are worth it. If we are ever in Milan again, we certainly will be returning. What a gem to find this place, so sad it's our last day.
