On Friday, May 31st, I received a letter cancelling my auto insurance from State Farm. I was…read moreshocked to see the letter and picked up the phone to call my State Farm Agent, Hannah Swanson. It was 4pm on a Friday so the receptionist told me Hannah had left for the day, but she would give me a call first thing Monday morning. Monday morning came and went and I called at 11pm and asked to speak to Danielle, whom I thought was Hannah's second in charge and also who I considered a friend of mine. Madison, who answered the phone told me that Danielle was on a call and would call me back shortly. 45 minutes later I get a call back from the office manager, who could not help me in the least and had the worst customer service skills. I asked to speak to Hannah and I was told she was not available. Why this is so upsetting to me is because I have been a customer of State Farm for over 40 years, I have never used another insurance company and I know for a fact that my agent knew about this letter weeks before I received it and didn't have the decency to contact me and give me a heads up. The reason that I was given this cancellation notice is that I had a small accident in a parking lot. No police report was filed but an insurance claim was. And I used roadside assistance twice. This is all in a three year period. And they are dropping me. I haven't had a moving violation since 2001, 23 years. I am the epitome of an excellent driver. So all State Farm customers beware, no longer how long you've been with them, you are just a letter away from being cancelled.
