Absolutely one of the worst banks in town. If you like your checks posted when this bank feels like…read moreit rather than the deadline that is set choose this bank. I am absolutely appalled, that a bank would just hold your check that comes in once a month at the same time which is "a week before it is supposed to be posted" and on the day that it is due, the money is not in the account. Many excuses such as "it was an error on our part" or "I'm sorry you will have to wait for the next business day". If you like dealing with a level of incompetence that is unfathomable, Please by all means go to Georgia Bank and Trust. I will be closing my account at the end of my daughters semester and going to Navy Federal. At least there the staff is nice, reliable "Actually posts checks on time", and easy to work with. These are traits you will not find at Georgia Bank and Trust. If I could give this Bank 0 stars I would.

This agency increased an elderly person's homeowners policy (who I represent), from about $1,700 to…read more$5,300 per year. When asked to figure out why such an increase, this agent denied all responsibility and said the roof was old, replacement costs were high, etc. He valued the house over $610,000 when Zillow values about $210,000. Note: the agency staff did reduce the annual homeowners payment to $3,900. Still a huge increase!
