Since switching in 2017, I've had nothing but positive experiences. They are professional, never try to upsell unnecessary services, and take the time to listen carefully to your specific situation before making recommendations. Many of my neighbors also use them, as word has spread throughout our neighborhood about the consistently positive interactions.

They use shoe covers when they come inside your house to keep your carpet clean. The quote was reasonable. But, what got me sold was they could set up an appointment within a week to replace the systems. Chris arrived to the minute of when they said they'd be here. Also used shoe covers when entering the house. Was surprised it only took one person to replace both units, but the entire job was completed in under 6 hours. The quote and bill were all done electronically, which I personally prefer. The bill was exactly what they quoted and there were no hidden fees. Payment options are convenient and there is no additional charge for financing. But, I decided to just use my own credit card to pay for it. Great experience and highly recommend ClimateSmith.

Both Zone the company that…read moreinstalled the units also Pruitt heating and air had 5 service calls EACH, replaced every replaceable part under warranty . After adding up all the labor cost and no help from Mitsubishi corp I had had enough ! I decided to just buy a replacement unit on the internet . I started making calls on companies that service Mitsubishi. After many phone calls and no interest in the install I called Service First . Not only were they responsive they offered a free quote on the job!! Every other company was at least $75-$100 just to look at it. The lead tech J Krauss came out made a very thorough inspection of all the previous repair attempts then did some thing different turned up all the other 3 units on max waited an checked the outside compressor again and noticed the unit icing up . The actual solution was 2 lbs of freon was required. saved me the cost of replacing the unit. If you own split units I would never do business with anyone else as long as Service First an J Krauss is an option.

Bill was very professional and courteous when he sold and installed my HVAC unit several years ago…read more(8). However, something has changed and my last 3 experiences with A-1 have been very disappointing. I brushed the first one off as he was just having a bad day, the 2nd one as possibly a bad day but I was going to address it when he came out to do the winter check up. During the 1st experience back in June I brought up my concern that the thermostat needed to be replaced. It wasn't replaced when the new system was installed because the wrong one was shipped and I'd started having issues where it wasn't holding the set reading - I might have it set at 75, but walk in to a hot room only to find that the actual temperature was showing 89. We decided since this wasn't a daily or even weekly occurrence we would wait for the winter maintenance check. When I called to schedule that he didn't recall anything from the June visit, instead he was patronizing (my option) and basically told me that I wasn't qualified to determine if a new thermostat was needed (then why did he agree that we'd replace it back in June???). After discussing it for a few minutes the appointment was scheduled. Day of the appointment he called me again and said the work order indicated he should bring a thermostat (yes, that was what we'd discussed when I made the appointment). His response was "Lady there are thousands of models and I don't know which one you would need". Yes, he actually said lady - not my name which he clearly knew since it was on the work order, not even ma'am. Maybe I was already on the defense but I didn't appreciate that or his tone. Bottom line, I said never mind, he hung up on me and that was the last I heard from him. I will find me another company to maintain my HVAC unit and I don't recommend A-1. I can only hope that it was something he had against me personally rather than this is the way he treats everyone.
