If you want to watch a movie like a queen/king, then definitely come here! Yes tickets are pricier than normal theaters but that's to be expected. When you purchase tickets, you get to select your seats which is pretty neat. The theater itself is pretty cool, the seats are spacious and so comfy since they recline and have leg rests! I felt like the people from Wall-E since the seats were so plush and you could practically lay down and watch the movie. This theater also has a bar on the left when you first enter if you feel the need to get a drink (although that's a recipe for disaster since booze+comfy reclining seats=ktfo). They have deals on weekdays which I may check out sometime. I believe Tuesdays, all movies are $5 and they have student discounts on Thursdays as wel! read more

I went to see About Time with the bf and as a result of poor planning and unfortunate movie times at our usual theaters, we ended up at Marcus. Eight dolla tickets, no lines (granted it was like 4 pm)... but the best part was when we walked into our theater to find reclining love seats?! Coziest movie of my life! Came here with family a weekend and absolutely loved our experience here. We were able to purchase our tickets online and avoid waiting in line. The line for the snacks were a little long but we got our order pretty quick and was able to take our seats before the movie started. The seats are spacious and comfortable! The popcorn and snacks were delicious! I also saw a bar at this theater! If anyone wants to enjoy a drink with the movie that's an option too! This is probably my favorite movie theater. Access to fandango is very helpful. The restaurant has delicious drinks and food and I love it. Take 5s food is super good and fresh and the concession choices are endless. The bathrooms are usually clean and I love you get to choose your seat early. So this is how rich people watch movies. I mean, that is how I imagine it. Relaxing on a leather recliner and watching a movie on the big screen. The whole time, I am chomping on a pizza, while holding a beer in the other hand. The bad part is that this isn't inside my mansion. The good part is that it's $5 movies every Tuesday! This place sure has changed since the last time I was here in the early 2000's. All the changes are for the better! I love what they did to this place, I love the bar, and the fact that they have a nice food menu to choose from. I used to come out to this theater years ago...at the time it may have been one of the 'better' ones even though it was a small haul to drive to. I was out for dinner and wine last night in Glen Ellyn and we were looking for a movie around 8pm and we found one here. My friend had no idea where this place was, I have been here, and my dentist is across the street. It's right off 355 and Lake so it's in a convenient location. So upon walking in this place the lobby is chaotic! If you're paying with a card, step to the right or left and pay at the machine. You can pick your seat at the kiosk. I'm not thrilled with the rising cost of movies, but at $11.25 you get a larger reclining chair so it makes it kind of worth it. Unfortunately we ended up in the FRONT row for this movie, but it wasn't terrible. Since I live closer to other movie theaters, this place wouldn't be my first choice, but I wouldn't mind coming back here. read more

$5 TUESDAY MOVIES!!!! It's a wonderful deal since it doesn't limit you to only older movies. I think the only stipulation is that 3D movies are a little bit extra. At any rate, it's the best value I've come across. The theaters itself are amazingly clean and include automatic, super wide, leather recliners. Also, the screens are large and the aisles are roomy. I haven't tried their concessions but I was impressed with their selection. This used to be a good theater, but it is usually dirty now. Food selection is insane--even for a movie theater. They added a pizza restaurant inside, but in general the food is still sub-par and not worth the 100% of the cost of tickets it will cost. Perfect example, rather than the fries that are on the menu they serve potato chips with meals--and you still pay $9+ per person for it. Drinks are $6 pretty much. Marcus has added the deluxe and pre-selected seating, which is convenient, but it's not an excuse to leave the theater poorly maintained. The floors are generally dirty, the bathrooms are a mess and the drink area is ALWAYS a pig sty. I mean, wipe it down during your shift once in a while! We had stopped going to Marcus, but decided to give it one more try. Unfortunately I want my $50 back for the food. They can keep the ticket price because at least Hollywood can make a decent movie every now and again--what a joke. I'd rather not go to the movies then go to Marcus again. read more

This place is so amazing. Went with the nieces to see spongebob in president's day. The place is looking great. Now there is a full bar with the option to bring your libations with you. A coatcloser to home "brew and view" for us. Love the assigned seating option. No fighting to find seats anymore. I know exactly where to go, everything is clearly marked. And finally the experience! This theater has seen a number of changes over the past two years. To begin with the parking lot is huge, but you still need to walk a long way so be prepared and it sucks in the winter. The line can be long at times, a lot of shows offer online ticket purchases which I strongly encourage when possible. You can select your own seat now due to the dream light seating that has been implemented in every theater. This change did cause prices to increase, however ever Tuesday you can see whatever movie you wish for $5. They offer a bar now! With real bar tenders. I am yet to try this but sounds good to me! Many snacks of all kinds, borderline meals are served at the concession stand but be prepare to wait. This area of Addison had a lot of great food options from fine dining to fast food so the movies become a great way to make a full day out of something. A Walmart and a SAMs club are near by too! Always come early to this theater because you will end up standing in line for something. read more

I absolutely love this theater. The fact that there are 2 nights a week for $5 movies is amazing. They have a nice bar and zaffaranos. I haven't tried the pizza place but I hear it is great. However every time I am there I am upset by the service. When the top guy is there the service is spectacular. However when he's no where in sight it's lacking. Long lines to purchase tickets with only 2 people at the box office (6 or more registers). I usually just use the digital box office by the sides-- half the time theyre out of paper. I like that they introduced a scanner for the ticket taker for online tickets. That saves a lot of time for people who purchase on the app. Concessions is an absolute mess. If anything you should have 2 employees for each side. There's no rhyme or reason to the lines. The employees move super super slow when taking orders and are usually interrupted by conversation or a manager (just let the people do their job!) I've managed cashiers before and if there are more than 4 or 5 people in line I would make someone jump on to bring the line down. Instead they have someone over there restocking supplies behind the Concessions stand. For 11 at night with a long line don't you think that can wait???? There should be someone avaliable to give refills on popcorn. If you have 8 registers at Concessions with 2 people taking care of a super long line on only one side of the Concessions stand it just looks bad. I don't even want to buy Concessions anymore (I buy popcorn for every movie I go to) because I don't want to deal with it. The bathrooms are always a mess. There's never any toilet paper in the women's restroom and im getting tired of telling the staff. Don't they have someone designated for maintenence? Shouldn't the people who clean up the theaters after a showing be checking the bathrooms too? Whenever I go to the bathroom there (I try to avoid it but nature calls) I always feel like I have to take a shower when I get home. It's not sanitary. From a managers perspective this theater is poorly run. NOT by all managers but some. This is a great theater with great service. I'm not going to say I'll never come back because that's just a lie. This movie theater was one of best I've been to in a long time and I love the fact that we were able to reserve our seats. Their seats were very comfortable and the fact that they recline, had me feeling so relaxed, I felt like I was on my couch at home. Their surround sound was excellent, we really enjoyed watching our movie there. We had gone there a few times before the renovation and the seats were meh, the lines at the concession were long...popcorn everywhere, dirty beverage area...high school kids with no customer service skills dispatching customers... After the renovation..Magical Movie Rewards program? $5 Tuesdays including leather reclining seats? Pre-selecting seats with the Marcus app....HELLO Marcus Theaters! The app is very basic and could use a little more work but still very easy to maneuver. The rewards program is a must if you love going to the movies, I always pre- select my seats for a Thursday and Friday release, when using the app the rewards program waives the online 2.50$ convenience fee. The bar OMG! the drinks are pricey but its the movies and yet still a drink well worth it. I love this theater, i have not had a bad experience there, people are respectful during your movie and I highly recommend it! read more

This is my go-to theater now. I haven't had any issues with the seating - I love the reclining seats, they are clean now, and I love the assigned seating. And, it isn't overpriced like iPic. The concessions are expensive (like every other place), and they have a bar (and you can drinks to-go, nice perk). What I REALLY love is the $5 movie nights on Tuesdays. What a steal!! We have been going to this theater for years and its usually our go to place to see a movie. We have had mostly good experiences. The three starts reflects that and not our latest experience. Today one person was taking admissions and a line was taking forever. Then the same thing at the snack counter. One employee moving slow. So, I decided to go to the theater and come back later when the line died down. The theater itself was warm and muggy. So, I went out to talk to a manager. She was indifferent and made excuses and extremely insincere apology that I had to wait. She said she would send someone in to the theater to check and adjust the thermostat. I bought refreshments and went back to the theater seething. It was warm in there for the whole movie. I didn't bother telling the manager. Just as I will probably not bother to come back to this theater. This particular experience was a one star. On the bright side the movie was decent, if uncomfortable. read more

I have gone to this theatre for the last time! Out of convenience, and against my better judgement, I went here again. Arrived for my show, was sent to a disgusting theatre and had to ask for a manager. Maggie (the assistant manager) told me I would be receiving two passes for my inconvenience and she'd bring them to my theatre. She never showed. I went back out, and asked where my passes were and was told that the general manager (Jenny) said no because I stayed for my film. Fast forward, while watching the film, I could hear a mouse behind my seat... I looked and there were tripped mouse traps behind the last row. DISGUSTING!!! read more

Horrible experience with management. Had an issue where the wrong ticket was issued to me with the wrong movie time (not what I asked for!) So I took it up with the manager Kate. Instead of resolving the issue she made it worse. She was rude and sarcastic and pissed me off to the point that I just walked out. This mistake messed up our plans for the entire evening as we rushed out of Dinner to get to our showtime and only to get there to realize how poor the service is from the get go and how they have a total nonchalant attitude. I go to this cinema often and after this behavior from management themselves I will not be back. My time is more important to me than money and to have an entire evening wasted like this is just unacceptable. read more

Love going to the movies, when I decide to go with friends, this is the only place I go to. The whole atmosphere of this theatre feels great. To the sound and dimmed lighting makes it feel as though I was at home, but better. My only complaint is that every now and then the floors are really sticky, and there's popcorn all over the floor. Besides that, I would say this is the best movie theater in terms of experience. The screens are big, depending on the movie you're going to watch. Great place overall! read more
