Marco's Pizza serves a really good pizza but their operations needs serious adjustments. Be aware of what you are paying for and receiving. We have given them two opportunities and both times the food product was EXCELLENT but the service failed miserably. We ordered three one topping pizzas, cheese bread and eight dipping sauces. We received the three pizzas and four dipping sauces. When my husband called to let them know that we were missing the items the manager said that he CAN NOT return the cost of the missing items. Instead he told us that in the future when we place an order we will receive our already paid for items and two additional medium one topping pizzas. Generous offer but I would have rather been given the option to receive refund. With technology so advanced how is it not possible to return an over charge and why would you feel comfortable doing so? The promise of receiving our missing items and more in the future fell flat because when we did decide to order at a later date the order taker knew nothing about our situation. Now I was put in the position of appearing to ask for something free. For me...that's not a pleasant position to be in. To add more to this situation the second order was for two one topping pizzas, cheese bread and four dipping sauces. One medium meat lovers pizza was delivered. Admittedly..that was pretty humorous... But humor aside dinner had to be modified again. Apologies were given and again the promise of our paid for items and two free pizzas on some later date. I'm back at square one ... I paid for something that I did not receive and if I want to receive it I have to make another uncomfortable call hoping that the person on the other line knows about my situation. So my best advice is to check your items before paying and have a back up plan if you choose delivery. The pizza is legitimately good so the extra effort to protect yourself is worth it.

They said the pizza would be delivered within 25 to 30 minutes, that was the best wait time out of all the pizza places I've called that night.

Their menu is pretty large and they cook their items in the coal fire pizza oven. I like that since it gives it that crispy crunchy pizza. Their location is inside Plant Street which has a ton of food places. The best thing about Plant Street is that everyone can get what they want. There are tables throughout Plant Street and Michael's Ali Coal Fire has a few bar seats at their location as well. They specialize in pizza but do have additional options such as stromboli's, wings, and sandwiches. There are some specialty pizzas on their menu but you can also create your own, which is what we did. Next time we will probably go with a specialty pizza just to try it out, but we went with pepperoni and bacon. It was also topped with a little basil. The bacon was pretty much nonexistent but it did have a slight saltiness to it, so I'm sure it was there. My wife loves bacon on her pizza so she definitely wished there was more of it. Overall it was a great pizza. We actually ordered it to take home since we had already had some food at Plant Street. However, it was good and hot and fresh, we ate the entire thing. The pizza is not overall large, I think about 6-7 slices. We shared since we were trying a lot of things. The crust was also really crispy, and not overly charred as sometimes coal fire pizzas can get. Another item we wanted to try but were too full, was the Cheesy Bread which has Roasted Garlic Oil fired with Prosciutto, Mozzarella, Provolone & Gorgonzola. We saw someone else get it and it really looked delicious, very cheesy and really good. The team who works here is also really nice. They were friendly, let us take our time, offered to answer any questions and were just nice. They had a little game going and would ask a question as you paid. They were keeping track of answers. Overall, this is a great spot. I would come back anytime we felt like a pizza. Very great food! ACES!

They actually have a really large menu for a small spot. They are closer to Crooked Can. There are some seats at their spot (similar to bar seats), but most people get their food to go and eat around Plant Street. Plant Street is a market that has tons of permanent vendors, most of which are food. This spot is truly Italian specializing in pizza but there are other options as well. Some of those options include stromboli's, wings, and sandwiches. They have a few different specialty pizza selections but then you can also create your own. We like to create our own but all their specialty pizzas sounded absolutely delicious. Next time, I think we will pick one of the specialty ones. We went with just pepperoni and bacon. The bacon was hardly present but did give a nice saltiness to the pizza. The pizza was on the thinner side which I love, it was crispy on the edges and just a really great pizza. We actually ordered it with the intention of taking it home for the next day, but it was so good, we ended up eating it all that night. Something we wanted but we were so full from other food options at Plant Street was the CHEESY BREAD which has Roasted Garlic Oil fired with Prosciutto, Mozzarella, Provolone & Gorgonzola. This is something we will for sure be getting next time. It sounded so great! For pizza we will be getting the BUFFALO CHICKEN which is Hot Wing Sauce Base, Roasted Chicken, Gorgonzola, Provolone, Mozzarella...Finished with Celery. Their options are just really great. The servers were super friendly as well. They will take your phone number and text you when its ready. This way you can go walk around, grab a table, grab a beer from Crooked Can and wait for your food. This is definitely a spot you need to try out when you are at Plant Street! Great food, great employees and a fun atmosphere.

I'm also slightly weird that I really enjoy pepperoni and pineapple pizza. So as you can see from the pictures, we got a half and half. The pizza was absolutely fantastic, however, it was ice cold when it arrived. It's hard to know if it was a long delivery time, it's been super cold outside, or if it sat for a while before being picked up. I don't blame the restaurant that, and the pizza was very delicious! I'm looking forward to going in person and trying them out. Garlic knots were delicious pizza sauce was fantastic, and the chocolate chip cannoli was devoured and enjoyed by all. It was a little pricey, but then again everything nowadays feels more expensive. I did really appreciate on the to go box that they had a flyer to purchase online noting that they deliver and you can save money versus Ubereats or GrubHub. Will update the review after I go in person.

What immediately separates AJ's from the crowded pizza scene is their ability to execute multiple styles at a high level. Whether you're craving a crispy-edged Detroit, a hearty Sicilian, or a classic New York thin pie, this kitchen clearly understands the craft behind each one. Start with the garlic knots -- exceptional. Golden, flavorful, and perfectly textured with just the right balance of garlic and well seasoned red sauce. The meatballs follow suit: tender, rich, and tasting unmistakably homemade. Add a thoughtfully selected wine list, and it's clear this isn't just a pizza stop -- it's a complete dining experience. Then came the recommendation that made the night memorable. The hostess suggested the Maui Maui Detroit-style, and take this advice without hesitation -- order it. The caramelized cheese crust delivers that signature Detroit crunch, while the chili-infused pineapples create a surprisingly sophisticated sweet heat that elevates every bite. It's bold, addictive, and executed with confidence. Equally impressive is the staff. Friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely engaged, they guide you through the menu with the kind of enthusiasm that signals pride in what they serve -- always a strong indicator of a well-run restaurant. AJ's isn't just another pizza spot; it's a place for people who take their pizza seriously. Rare to find, difficult to forget, and absolutely worthy of becoming a regular destination.
