Why 4 stars...let me explain. My family and I have been in Tampa for nearly 19years and we have yet to find a pizza joint that is really good. We are originally from Chicago so pizza is our life. Papa Johns got us by, then Mellow Mushroom filled in the void when Papas got old. Now that we have been introduced to Marcos pizza. Ain't no turning around. First off, the dough is made fresh everyday and it is sooo good. It is thick and soft. The sausage is delicious. It tastes authentic. And I'm not a cheese pizza eater but the cheese they use on their pizza is absolutely delicious. The customer service was good but I think could be better, hence the one less star. This particular location is not that large and I'm not sure if they were just short staffed, but the workers seemed a bit overwhelmed. Lisa helped us and she was great. We moved to the area a year ago. In the past, we had a bad experience with Marcos (not this location.) We decided to give this location a try about 4 months ago and we haven't been disappointed. We get pizza, cheesy bread and salads here at least every couple weeks and it's always been great. Use the app and do curbside pickup and it's super easy! DO NOT order from this Marcos. They do not value loyal customers. They make fun of customers behind the counter. The owner readily allows this. They refuse to fix menu hiccups when they arrive, and the most egregious error is their complete lack of understanding when it comes what customer service means. The employees here are allowed to roll their eyes at you, refuse to fix food made improperly, talk to you in snarky tones of voice. You however are not allowed to express any level of irritation and their own childish, immature actions. If you read their reviews across-the-board what you will find is that overall their food is good, but their staff can't get it right and the owner doesn't maintain a high standard for customer service.
