Okay, I'm seriously in my pizza era right now. Apparently Tampa has no shortage of pizzerias, I'm here for it! Something about bread and cheese with an infinite number of ways it can be done just gets to me, I don't know. Jet's pizza is truly unique to me due to their ultra-thin crust with cheese practically going off the edges. Somehow it just manages to be light and crispy, yet hearty at the same time from that thick skin of melted cheeses overtop a thin layer of ricotta from my white pizza. (Chef's kiss). I paired it with a shrimp Casaer salad for a unique twist to round off the meal. I can see why Ledo's is so popular. The folks here are friendly and I got my pizza fairly quickly. 5 stars yet again! Ledos is my absolute favorite pizza place around town. I love their cauliflower crust pizza so much!! It's crispy and just delicious! The family was hungry and this momma didn't want to cook so we ordered Ledos online. Website is simple to use or they have an app available. Be sure to create an account and earn points! Order included: cauliflower crust pizza, hot honey Stromboli, wings (buffacue), mozzarella sticks and spaghetti with sausage. Dinner was $60 and I earned a free cheese pizza for my next visit. Took 25 minutes and the food was ready. It allowed me and my daughter to run into Starbucks and the grocery to grab some last minute things. Staff is always welcoming and friendly! First time at Ledo Pizza. I was greeted as I walked in, and was told to just grab a seat anywhere! I was the only person there at 12:30 pm, so there was plenty of seating available. I was surprised that no one else was there during the lunch hour. I ordered a Stromboli as I walked in, and probably should have looked at the menu ( it is listed as having like 1960 calories for a single item, WOW! Not that huge either). All of the stromboli's I have ever had were on a hoagie bun with pepperoni, and sausage and peppers stewed in tomato sauce with Mozz on top). This one was not that.. it had salami, no sausage and peppers.. and was laid out in a really thin crust and baked (and a little overdone on the ends... tasted burned. Now.. it was tasty, but after seeing that 1960 calories, I was almost afraid to eat it all... darn it, I was hungry! 3 stars! It was good, but not spectacular... and that kind of calorie count is insane for a single item that is meant to be consumed at one setting. Server was awesome... checked on me several times, and tried to refill my drink. Really good service - 5 stars! So overall I am giving 4 stars for this visit. I don't know about you but I could eat pizza every day, especially when there are so many different kinds of pizza! This place is a great alternative to the typical NY pizza or standard delivery chain. They have fresh salads and a great house dressing, they have all kinds of variety of toppings including sometimes a Korean pizza. Their standard pizza sauce is a perfect sweet basil and even if you don't like thin crust, I dare you to try this, its phenomenal, crispy but not burned! My husband ordered the BBQ chicken pizza and usually I hate BBQ pizza because it's so sweet, but this was perfect, it was not drenched in BBQ but lightly drizzled... uh... this is the BBQ pizza I never knew I needed in my life!!! You can obviously tell it's not fresh and really just a A Cheese pizza that they slapped pepperoni on you can tell as the pepperoni is not even in the cheese and the pizza itself doesn't have the pepperoni flavor through out it, if it was my choice I would never come back here again distasteful really if they do this what else will they do to save a quick buck and look at their store there is sellout written all over it. Very disappointing but it's really not the same as the other locations I've been to in my lifetime, also the lady was so quick to try to put the reused pizza in the box rather than giving it to us so I'm going to say the service was bad as well, like if you can't keep the place open with integrity then maybe it's time to close, God please do not ever come here!!! I tried this pizza place the other night. I ordered a pizza topped with chicken, banana peppers, and onions. I also ordered a vegetable Stromboli. I liked how the pizza had enough of each topping on it. I hate when pizza places do not put enough toppings. I enjoyed the crunchy crust and cheese. The pizza is not shaped like your typical NY style pizza. It is a square thin crust pizza. That is different and I liked the thin crust. The bottom crust part is a thicker than your average thin crust pizza. The bottom crust is not as crunchy as the outside crust. Overall, I thought the taste of the pizza was good. The vegetable Stromboli was okay. It was not the best Stromboli I've had but it was not the worst one had. Next time I order I might try a Stromboli but I'm not sure . I would order another pizza with toppings from Ledo's. Check them out if you live in the Carrollwood area. read more

The only Ledo location in Florida does not disappoint! Ledo pizza is a unique style of square pizza cut in small squares. This pizza has a cult following in the DC suburbs of Maryland and you can see why when you try it. This in not NY or Chicago style but a style all its own. Be sure to get the pepperoni, one thick slice per slice with perfect cheese and sauce. Also the owner and staff at this location are so welcoming and provide amazing service. I've never had any meal here other than pizza, and I probably never will. Their pizza is just *that* good. I grew up in Maryland, and whenever our family got pizza, it was from Ledo's. After driving by this location on Dale Mabry multiple times, and laughing at the coincidence of a pizza place using the same name as my favorite place in MD, I looked it up online and realized it IS the same place. Woo hoo! I've been here three times now, and the pizza is just like I remembered, and just as good as I hoped it would be. To start with - the pizza is square, and the pieces are cut into little squares. It's thin crust, which is my favorite kind of pizza, as I hate filling up on dough. The red sauce is sweet, and very distinctive. I've tried all different varieties of pizza here, but I always come back to the classic pepperoni pizza. Each individual square piece of pizza gets it own thick cut slice of pepperoni on top. Heaven! Then, before you know it, you've eaten multiple squares, and you roll out the door, fat and happy. Service was good, waitress was friendly, and stopped by frequently to make sure we had what we needed. I do wish they supplied better quality paper napkins, as I went through about 1 per slice, but at least they are on the table to grab as many as you need. This is your neighborhood go to place for a good inexpensive meal. Been coming here for at least 12 years and the owners are super people. They are part of community and have run into them around Carrollwood. Must have at Ledo's: Italian Salad. Just tell them how many people you want it for and they adjust the size of the salad. Spaghetti. This is the only place I ever order spaghetti. I get it with all the options. It's very thick this way, just the way my mom used to make it. Pizza. The pizza is very thin and the sauce is super. Comes in a tray, 2 tray's is a large. My wife likes it with meatballs which is good, I like it with ground beef, onions, mushrooms and peppers. For the only Ledo Pizza in the Sunshine State, this did not disappoint. On our way to Sarasota from the Panhandle we took a slight detour to eat here, it was equal to being back home in Maryland. Especially when that something is pretty decent! Ledo serves up a very unique pizza. It's thin and cut into small pieces, not slices. You can definitely go through one of these really quickly. The style/design of the building is definitely a bit outdated - it almost has the feel of a diner, in a way. But what are the benefits of a diner? Cheap and inexpensive. The same can be said here. Really delicious pizza and other Italian goodies located in northern Carrollwood along N. Dale Mabry Highway, just south of Ehrlich Road. As you drive south from Ehrlich, you'll see the big red flag for Ledo Pizza off to the right-hand side of the road, in a little strip mall near the Prime Time Sports Grill and the Tampa Pitcher Show movie theater. Ledo Pizza is tucked in the back of that strip mall, and it is definitely worth searching out the location. I was very surprised to learn that this is the same family recipe of the Ledo Pizza dough and sauce which I remember from my days at the University of Maryland. Back then they were known for square pizzas, and the story goes that when the pizzeria first opened in the 50's that round pizza pans had yet to be invented, and so they chose to use rectangular baking pans to cook their pizzas. The Ledo chain is now 100 restaurants strong, and the Carrollwood pizzeria proudly follows in the tradition started back in Aldelphi, MD. Aside from the square pizza, you'll notice that everything is made from scratch, including the dough and sauce which are prepared several times a day to ensure freshness. Ledo's offers a wide variety of craft pizzas and Italian specialties including both vegetarian and gluten-free pizzas. I was there for a late lunch, and so I ordered a Meatlovers Calzone which is made with Ledo sauce along with hand-sliced pepperoni, sausage and meatballs. Since the Calzone was going to take a while to prepare, I also ordered a small house salad with their Italian vinaigrette dressing. After a bit, the Calzone arrived, and the first thing I noticed was the famous Ledo pizza dough crust which was rolled out, filled with melted cheese and the meats, and then baked in the pizza oven and served with a side of Ledo sauce. The crust of the calzone was light and flaky, and very delicious when dipped in the extra sauce. My husband first introduced me to Ledo Pizza when we were dating in college. He's from Potomac, MD so he grew up on Ledo Pizza and absolutely loves it. I admit I wasn't the biggest fan at first. I love thin crust pizza, but I had never experienced a pizza crust quite like Ledo's. The crust is more crumbly and has a buttery cracker like taste. My husband thought I was insane for not immediately falling in love with this pizza, but hey, it's just not the kind of pizza I grew up on! Over the years my husband continued bringing home Ledo Pizza and I admit the pizza has grown on me. The pizza is square shaped instead of your typical round pie so the squares in the middle have no crust - my favorite! We usually get the cheese pizza or the white pizza. The restaurant also offers sandwiches, soups, salads, appetizers, pastas, and hoagies on their menu, but we always order the pizza. If you are from Maryland and want a taste of home stop by Ledo Pizza. Be sure to tell the owner you are a "local" and they'll let you sign the wall. read more

Saw a groupon for this place and decided to try it on a date night with my wife. Very nice neighborhood pizza joint. The space isnt very large, maybe 10 tables and booths, but still spacious enough for families or groups. The staff was very friendly, our server made sure to asj if we had been to the restaurant before and describe their style of pizza a bit to us. They have a couple of big screen TVs at both ends of the restaurant as well so people facing either direction can watch whatever is on, could be a low-key place to watch a game at. Their pizza (I believe it is referred to as St. Louis style) is a thin dough and crust with a sauce that is more tangy and a bit sweeter than you'll find at a run-of-the-mill pizza place, my wife and I really enjoyed it.
