We were staying over by the Tampa airport on our last night of vacation - looking to switch up the cuisine after a week long seafood binge, we decided pizza would be good, and oh my goodness Pitza Pizza did not disappoint. We ordered at the store and got a pizza ring ordered like a supreme pizza adding green olives and a side of tabouli (which I have never had but have been wanting to try - it was 10/10). 20 minute wait which was not bad, there were people in and out the whole time so I felt like that was a sign that people enjoyed the food! The employees were super nice and helpful as well! As far as the food went everything tasted great, the pizza dough was so soft but not too soft that it fell apart, it just had great flavor. I had heard great things about the food of this restaurant, however the reviews were wrong! I ordered a Classic Italian and Philly Cheese Steak sandwich to establish a good baseline for future purchases We started with the Philly Cheese and once unwrapped were hit with an overpowering oregano smell...puny amount of meat and barely melted cheese on the 8" roll. The sandwich was warm, dry and relatively tasteless. Overall a 2/10. The Classic Italian didn't fare much better...the cold cuts were of good quality, but scarce, too much oregano and very very dry. Usually oil and vinegar is applied or provided, but in this case neither. The 8" sub was substandard for this type of sandwich. The bread quality on both were reasonable. Overall this sandwich 3/10. Don't get me wrong, the quality of the ingredients were 8+/10 but the execution of the sandwiches were lacking. I was truly hoping to try their cheese pizza but after trying these 2 very traditional sandwiches and spending over $30 delivered, I think I'll pass. Last night, with only two days notice, Pitza Pizza delivered us 26 piping hot cheese and pepperoni pizzas to fill our middle schoolers bellies during our Winter Dance. The owner was so easy to speak to and collaborate with prior to the event. I was super pleased with their on-time delivery and the delicious pizza they served. All of the adults and students loved it. Their pizza is of a much higher quality and caliber than Little Caesar's or Hungry Howies. The other companies could not compete with Pitza Pizza's prices for serving so many pizzas for such a large group. Pitza Pizza will be our go-to caterer for any school event where pizza is demanded. We ordered a pizza ring, which was very good with sausage and onion. My husband and I have eaten two meals from the pizza ring and there's a third waiting for us in the refrigerator. My new favorite pizza place in the Carrollwood area. Not only is the pizza great, but the Owner is awesome! My boss actually discovered this place, so when we needed pizza & salad for an office lunch, he recommended we try here. I placed our order online, but for some reason, the order page would not accept one of the pizzas I was trying to add to my cart. No biggie, after I ordered I just called the store to see if he could change it. "No problem!" from the Owner. Also, he wondered if I would like our salad chopped - yes please! And with feta? Also yes! The pizzas and salad were ready on time, and the Owner carried all four pizzas out to my car. I couldn't wait to get back to the office and dig in. The Godfather pizza was probably my favorite - the meats on it were delicious. And I really liked the Mediterranean pizza, which I got with a thin crust. I'm writing this review before we pick up our food because the manager of this place has to be the coolest guy ever! We were starved looking for a place to eat on the way home from the beach so we thought we'd give this place a shot. It turned out the place was closed when we called but he said he would still go ahead and make the pizza for us. Typically I would thank him and wait for another day, but maybe they need the business during COVID. As for our complicated order, not only was he willing to combine the sauces from different style pizzas (meatlovers and buffalo chicken) but then he was also willing to try working his magic on our request of thin stuffed crust. AND upon hearing it was our first experience with them, he allowed our extra pineapple topping free! Is this guy real? Forget five stars, give him ten before we even take the first bite! To make matters worse on our end we did not even arrive until 10pm (10 minutes after our order was ready) because we got stuck behind a car crash on the bridge. It takes a lot to embarrass me but I was feeling pretty bad, we're pretty much monster customers at this point, but throughout the entire process this guy was more calming than a yoga teacher. Helpful, patient, accommodating, personable, kind, this guy is an angel. I can't thank you enough sir! When we finally made it, he didn't want to preoccupy with any apologies, but rather he was excited to show me his delicious looking one-of-a-kind pizza ring and the Lebanese pizza. I will be sure to swing by to try these out along with the $5.99 Philly cheesesteak next time I'm in Tampa. As for the food, you know when something is so good your posture slumps over on you?
