They even specially wrapped my pizzas in foil since we had to travel a distance. The pizza is always good! My favorite is the Kitchen sink. An enormous amount of toppings with delicious mozzarella and a soft crust. The Supreme pizza is close to the Kitchen Sink in terms of toppings and taste. The hand tossed crust is soft with a slight flour taste. Much like a bread stick. The toppings are fresh and plentiful. The mozzarella cheese is real with a rich and smooth cheese taste. The vegetable pizza was loaded with fresh toppings. They were gently cooked so they were almost crispy. The cheese pizza comes with a thin crust that is soft but thin on the filling. The basic amount of cheese was nice without being overly gooey or too thin.

While Aurelio's pizza might not technically be considered "tavern crust", it is absolutely one of the best examples of a thin pizza I've had. Over the years, Aurelio's have expanded to many locations in several states and today we found ourselves in La Porte, IN to once again sample pizza excellence. Our large mushroom half sausage came in about 15 minutes after ordering and looked perfect. I was so excited to begin eating I forgot to take a picture so you'll have to trust me that it looked as good as it tasted. We always order a large even though we can only eat about half in one sitting. This pizza reheats so well that we enjoy the rest later or the next day. Hard to describe and even more difficult to grasp if you're not from the Chicago area but real Chicago pizzas have what I call a "purity of Ingredients" where everything goes together so well. It came with no condiments like they advertise. I told him I wanted the burger, medium rare and it was well done the fries were uneditable so dark and greasy. Know what I did taste of the burger. It did have some flavor, but it was so dry and so hard that it's just you know $40 worth of food was a waste but like I said you have to try it now if I decide to try this again and give them the benefit of a doubt it will not be around a holiday and I will take the family and we will eat there. And this way I can tell if this was just you know a bad day or whatever but as of right now that has to be the worst food I have ever eaten in this town.
