The local pizza joint, so the convenience was a key for the order this time. Grandkids wanted a pepperoni pizza. The quality of the food was good and things were hot. While in the area around 10pm, I asked my husband to stop here so I could grab a garden pizza with crispy thin crust, cut into squares. It was pretty late for most any other somewhat healthy food. Garden toppings include mushrooms, black olives, onions, sliced tomatoes, a three-cheese blend, and feta but I omitted the feta. Although I missed the peppers, this was the right amount of toppings for a thin crust without weighing it down. The pizza came out piping hot and was delicious! After my first bite, I insisted everyone in the car have a slice. Of course, it didn't take much convincing because of the aroma and my facial expressions. Service was top-notch. They even gave me a couple of paper plates and utensils as requested. Most pizza places (or otherwise) don't have plates anymore. The inside of the restaurant is what you'd expect from a mostly to-go order spot. However, I was surprised there were a few tables. It was clean and very chilled. The pizza is not the issue. The staff needs training. Intense training. It's just a bunch of 15-year-old I think. They do not greet you. They simply ask you what's your name. After walking past boxes plenty of times at work, I finally decided to try Marco's Pizza, and Im glad I did. The crispy pepperoni was a nice touch (which other companies are now copying). I definitely suggest the Pepperoni Magnifico or the All Meat. I am irritated though. I ordered sauce cups the last orders and never received them. I need them to learn better customer service. I recognize that teenagers must learn to work but they were playing around and not getting orders right. You can have fun at work but not at the expense of customers. That being said my salad was fine once it was made correctly the 2nd time, and the pizza was good. A week before Christmas, I ordered a pizza and wings delivery. The store is a mile from our home. When it came 60 minutes later, it was Christmas so of course things were slower than usual, we were delivered the wrong order. A Pizza with items on it that we would never order and instead of chicken wings, we received a cheese dip of some kind. I immediately called the store to complain. I was told just to keep the order and they would give me a credit for a future order. Ok no problem. We threw most of the wrong order away. Well yesterday I tried to use that credit and was told the credit only lasted until 12/31/23. So I was given a credit for 2 weeks and I was never informed of the deadline. This is an extremely accurate example their customer service at store level. I'm going to file a complaint with their headquarters in Toledo, Ohio. If somethings not right, don't take the restaurants excuses. There are plenty of other Pizza Restaurants around that would love your business. WELL WELL WELL. There is no complaint telephone number for Marcos. You have a problem, call your store. So if the complaint is about the store, you're just tough out of luck. I guess I should have read all the complaints before even trying to contact the Headquarters. I'll buy a frozen pizza before I give them another dime of my money. Obviously it's the $ that's important, not the customer. Don't play Russian Roulette with your money. Give it to a company that actually cares about their customers. read more

I ended up contacting the corporate office when the management at that location failed to do anything. Corporate refunded my money. This is totally unacceptable to sell someone old food and think that it is ok to do so. The 1 star rating is too much. They deserve a zero. Never go to this location. This is the salad they sold to me. It was covered by a piece of good lettuce but when I got home and went to eat the bad lettuce was underneath. Disgusting!!! read more

Horrible customer service. I ordered two pizzas from here on 11/22 that should have taken 45 minutes to an hour to be delivered based off the time estimate. About 2 hours after waiting for pizza I called to get the status. The person who answered the phone said they were short staffed but my pizza was around the corner. Ok, cool. The delivery driver arrives about five minutes later and he's got one of my pizzas but not the other and says he'll have to go back. I tell him it's ok, the store can just refund my pizza that he didn't bring. He calls the store on speakerphone, tells them what happened, tell them what I want and they say ok, that works. Three days later, I look over my statement and see that the total purchase is on my acct. I call the store and get shift manager Mike Mcghee who tells me that he can not authorize a refund going that far back. I will have to wait until the general manager comes back 3 days later. At this point, I am appalled by the customer service. I've been charged for a pizza I never received and told that I basically have to wait a week for a refund. RIDICULOUS. Placed an order for pickup, two meds pizzas for $17.10. Said order would take 15 mins. Get there and was told pizza was just coming out, tried to pay using a CashApp card and was told it didn't go through. Pulled up my app, money is on the card, card has worked fine everywhere else. Cashier then suggests to enter the card manually. Tried that, same error code, but my phone shows that the money was taken out. The arrogant shift manager comes up and says it's not showing in the system, so contact CashApp. While he's smugly stating the obvious, my phone shows that not only did it go through once, but THREE times. He comes back and says it's nothing they can do. What do you mean there's nothing you can do, when I can show you proof that the money was taken not once, not twice, but three different times. Was told by the other manager, that if the money doesn't reverse, to come back and show them, and that it happens often with their system. This is 2019 and if your system is incapable of simple transactions, then maybe, just maybe, it's time to get that updated. Won't happen again. If I'm going to pay $50 for pizza, I'd prefer it be on a better quality pie. read more

Now, I am being told it will take 3-5 business days for a refund. I couldn't feed the family because I am waiting on $32.00 to be returned. I made an order via phone on 12/7/19 @2:20pm the male that answered the phone took my order which was a large cheese pizza and Medium pepperoni and sausage with garlic/Roma crust. The male asked if the order was for take out or delivery , I advised delivery and he confirmed my address. The male took my credit card information and advised it would be 35 minutes. Over an hour passed and I called Marco's on chapel hill to find out the status of my order. The same male that took my order answered the phone again but asked if I could hold. A young lady answered the call from me holding and I advised that I made an order over an hour ago and it has not arrived. She asked me my address and I gave it to her. She put me on hold. Another female picked up my call, I advised her the same information and provided my address. She also put me on hold. My call was then answered by Michael who asked if I was having trouble with my order. I advised my story about my order and the status. Michael advised there was not an order for me in there system. I advised that I called at 2:20pm and made an order and also advised the male who answered before me getting to Michael was the one that took my order and my credit card information. Michael advised the name of the male was James and Michael proceed to tell me that there was no order and there was nothing that he can do but give me free food. I explained it's not about the food, it's about my credit card information that was taken down and no order. I also asked Michael to check the caller ID to confirm that I called at 2:20pm because in the banter back and forth I felt as though Michael did not believe that I called. Michael put me on hold to check the caller iD then came back to confirm that I did call in at 2:20pm. Michael told me that I can talk to the general manager Justin thompson but could not provide a number. Michael stayed that there was not a corporate number to complain as well as the new incoming GM name was Leslie. My complaint is someone (James) took my credit card information and never inputted my order so I want to know what happen with my credit card information. Credit card fraud is a real problem here in Georgia and for a business that service customers and handle credit card information on a daily basis need to handle it more with care. Michael has no disregard and didn't provide any empathy or regard that an employee of the establishment and on his shift mishandle important information. The employee along with Michael need to be held accountable when they do not meet the mission of the employer in which pays their compensation as well as benefits. Now I have to constantly monitor my credit card for fraud all because of the incompetence of an employee. In addition this is not the first time this has happened with this location but it is definitely the last time and as a consumer I will do my due diligence in providing feedback to other existing and future customers read more

So....I really love Marcos pizza. I live in a different area now and have been hesitant to try the locations close to my home because of the reviews. I am thankful I did not focus on the reviews for this location. We ordered a cheese pizza, pepperoni pizza, and cinnamon rolls. Everything was perfect. The customer service was also exceptional. I wish I could give this Marco's a higher score but there were a few things that prevented this. Both our pizza's had not been cut correctly. Well, one pizza was not cut at all but lucky we have a pizza cutter. The other pizza was only partly cut and I had to finish cutting the rest. While the pizza's were OK, they were nothing special and I was a little disappointed. NO WAY! I was waiting for my order to be prepared when the young man that prepared our pizza came to the front literally digging in the back of his mouth with his bare hands. The same bare hands that prepared several pizza's while I waited. When he was done he wiped his hands on his pants and went back to his station waiting for the pizza's to come out the oven. I've been ordering from this location for over a year, and, the service has steadily gone downhill. My last two deliveries were just unacceptable. The pizzas did not arrive when stated on the website, and, were more than 30 minutes late. I didn't receive a pizza, and, the driver had to go back and get it. The wings had a texture of raw chicken.
