Although the duck confit was not my cup of tea, the Ox cheek was amazing! We also decided to order the fish and chips, which came with a side of mashed peas and was delicious! It is a bit pricey if you don't order on the lunch menu, but nonetheless, worth it. The restaurant has a vey comfortable ambiance. It feels very classy, yet has a rustic charm. This is definitely a nice restaurant and bar, with prime location along the harbour. It's worth a visit if your in Ayr!

When one customer asked why the server had a massive 'tude, she wiped her nose and said it was because she was sick. Uhh, excuse me, can someone get the health inspector on line 1? So she was coughing, wiping her nose, taking cash payments and then wrapping the fish and chips with her bare hands. Touching ALL the food. I nearly died myself. I was just going to have a bag of chips but the fish looked spectacular. I was so right to get both. It took a little time but I have never minded waiting for a decently cooked fish supper.
