We didn't know what to expect as we had not done a session before, but Camilla made us feel so comfortable and made the entire process so easy! She gave gentle instruction about what to do in front of the camera, and we didn't feel awkward or uncomfortable at all. We walked along the Piazza San Marco and surrounding area. She was great about trying to get shots in despite things happening around us (boats in the way, other photographers/couples, and even a bloody headless pigeon that a seagull threw at us). Rather than a historical tour, this is instead a lesson in capturing natural light as it filters throughout the canals and bridges. For example, Stefano demonstrates a fantastic angle on a photograph on his camera, and then patiently assists, to be sure that you have it correct on your camera, too. I learned more about settings on my camera and why I should use one setting over another as we move around the city. Stefano would turn down an alleyway and we would pop out the other side to find another beautiful area that I would not have found on my own. The mesmerizing charm of Venetian Masks and Historical Costumes is the same in times. The pleasure of disguising game attracts every year countless people and hide oneself behind a mask is an irresistible attraction. A Masked Ball can be the dream of an entire life. But what's the work behind all of this? Finished my languages studies i began as employee by whom thaught me a lot, leaving me free to experiment with my first masks and costumes.. Over the years i developed my techniques and my own style. Masks have to be worn like sparkling jewels to enhance the glamourous spirit of Carnival, and the costumes, even if following the original style of their centuries, have to shine on their own light with gold, silver, cristals to make the game even more magical. I have named my Atelier "Sogno Veneziano" because to come to our city is everyone's dream, and live the misterious atmosphere of Venice is a unique experience.
