Ksenia was wonderful to work with. She made us feel very comfortable and we had fun during the session that almost 2 hours went by so quickly (even through the hottest day in Venice). A little bit of background, I plan things ahead, even way in advance. Flashback to a little over 3 years ago, in preparation for our 10-year wedding anniversary, we planned to celebrate it in Venice and me, as the advanced planner, found Ksenia on Yelp and immediately booked her to capture this joyous occasion. Her price was reasonable and she was responsive. Responsiveness is very important to me, so I appreciated that about Ksenia right off the bat. Unfortunately the pandemic happened so we couldn't take our trip after all. After waiting almost 3 years, I contacted her again in hopes she was still around and good news... she was and honored my booking. Our trip to Europe was a last minute plan. We bought plane tickets and booked hotels basically the day of traveling or needing to rest. My wife and I had already been to paris and Rome and the last stop was Venice before coming home. My wife wasn't pleased with my photography skills (3 arguments during trip ) so I proposed hiring a photographer to take photos of her on a gondola in Venice. Ksenia Saved the day!!! We had booked a photographer (who shall remain nameless) before we arrived in Venice. Confirmations were made up till the night before our session was supposed to take place. just hours before our session, the nameless photographer canceled the session! Most people come to venice and leave with souvenirs they purchase from local merchants. souvenirs that will most likely end up in a drawer somewhere. We wanted to preserve the memories of Venice through images & needless to say that we were quite upset that we would be leaving without this souvenir. We took to yelp & Instagram to see if we could find & book a different photographer. we found KS Photography & loved the images we saw on her page. I sent a message through Yelp & our magnificent experience with Ksenia began. From the start, Ksenia was quick to respond & had great communication through the booking process. She directed us to a booking page where we were able to reserve the time slot we wanted (6am since we didn't want any tourists in our pictures) & she asked that we place a deposit to reserve the session time. She was punctual, arriving sooner than the agreed upon time. She went over the types of images she would be creating & made sure that we were comfortable with her style. Being photographers ourselves, we had some specific looks that we were trying to achieve, (this is very annoying for a photographer, or any creative in general. imagine walking into a chefs kitchen and telling him how to prepare your meal) Ksenia listened to what we wanted to do and accommodated! She was understanding to the fact that we were photographers & accommodated this annoying request (without being annoyed) Through the entire session, Ksenia was talking to us, giving great direction & making sure to use angles which were flattering. Wow! Ksenia did an incredible job with our engagement shoot. She is kind, thoughtful, very well organized and most importantly an amazing photographer. I wanted to surprise my then girlfriend (now fiancée!) in Venice and Ksenia helped me find the perfect location. She then was able to capture the exact moment of the proposal and took us to some incredible spots in Venice to do a photoshoot following the proposal. We blew up one of the photos in our living room and are using a few of the photos for our wedding invitations/save the date cards. A number of our friends even surprised us with framed photos we posted on social media that we've since hung up throughout our house. I'd highly recommend Ksenia's services. Note: This review is for a photoshoot that was taken December 30, 2017. Breathtaking is the best way to describe Ksenia's work. My husband originally came across her Instagram a while back and we've been following her work ever since. We went to Italy for our honeymoon and since Venice was one of the cities we were visiting, we decided to find out her availability. Luckily, her availability matched the exact time we were there, so it was meant to be. She was great at communicating prior to the photoshoot. She even has a makeup artist/hair stylist that she recommends and she can also help you with ordering a bouquet for the photoshoot. I decided to do my own hair and makeup and didn't need a bouquet, but for those that do, she has recommendations! During the shoot, she was wonderful and showed us exactly how to pose as that's not something we are natural at. I told her I wanted to emphasize my veil and she did an amazing job capturing the beauty of it. The results of Ksenia's work made the freezing winter photoshoot worth it (we're from SoCal so everything is cold to us haha). Amazing pictures, these pictures are better than my wedding pictures! KSeniya was very friendly. She coordinated with us before the shoot to understand what we want. She was adjusting on time. She knows lots of hidden spots in Venice where we can take pictures without having 100 people in background. She was great with suggesting poses too. I was little bit nervous when I came to know she won't give me all raw pictures, but she gave us 35 edited pictures and each of them is perfect ! My fiancé hired Ksenia as a surprise when he proposed to me in Venice. She was amazing! The photos came out absolutely stunning - she has an amazing eye for capturing beautiful moments, architecture, and movement. Her editing skills are wonderful as well - we both looked flawless yet so natural in the finished photos. She gave great direction when we weren't sure how to stand or what to do, and suggested a wide variety of beautiful backdrops in our photos. Every single photo came out absolutely beautiful.
