!!! BEWARE !!! I financed a car here a month ago. It started…read moreoverheating on the way home from the lot, so I took the car back the next day. They put it in their shop on the lot, which found that the motor needed to be replaced. Then, the catalytic converter needed to be replaced. Now, a month later, they want me to be caught up on payments in order to get the car out of their shop. I haven't made payments, because my work has significantly reduced with no transportation/limited availability (because no car). The motor and catalytic converter are pretty important to the functioning of a car. These things should have been fixed before they sold it to anyone on their lot. These people are scammers and just want to trap you in their contract, because they know you're poor and just need to get into a car in order to work. This entire time, all I've gotten from their accounts office is the runaround and a few "thanks for being so patient'"s. I've always heard about these experiences at car lots, but this is the first time I've ever had one myself, and it's been a complete nightmare dealing with these people. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I wish I wouldn't taken my down payment literally anywhere else.

First I was told $2,000 down, then it went to $2,500, ended up I had to put $3,000 down. Now that we're 4 days away from paper tags expiring, I find out vehicle can NOT be titled, as it has a salvage title. I talked to Bill in finance,he said come on in we'll work to make it right,I was then transferred to (salesman) Anthony, he had me test drive a white Cherokee. I said no, I need/want 4x4. Can negotiate on any other options. I Was basically told it was that or nothing. I asked about the grand Cherokee Laredo as it's a base model, I was told(by sales manager Carlos?) if you want to put at least another $1,000 down to pay taxes, otherwise take what offered, or we will get a vehicle at auction this week. I have 0 say on vehicle coming from auction, I have a vehicle I bought in good faith, have at least $4,000 out of pocket in payments, and down payment. The sales manager didn't seem to care. I've made 3 trips to their lot, (about 46 miles round trip each time) and have 0 to show for it, this IS NOT MY FAULT!!!!!! Approved Auto screwed this up. I don't understand why the customer is being put out for the dealership screw up. I even explained my vehicle has every option possible, the Laredo is base model. Is this the type of customer service you provide? I'll have to make another trip and hope what you buy at the auction works for me. Why are you REFUSING to make this right?

Oil was full, immediately called BECKY (she must be used to screwing people over), said there is nothing I can do about it now, we are closing in 30 minutes. Told me to call at 9:30, after spending the last $600 on our CC by renting a vehicle to get back/forth to work, called BECKY she stated her father had gone to OH to pick up a vehicle & will have to wait til he gets back. Waited the 3rd day and did not s/w BECKY until 2 pm but I was told I was on the top of her list. She told me that I could use the vehicle as a trade in, that they would give me a little $$, asked about the taxes/plates that after 6 wks I had not received yet, BECKY stated that money was already gone that the plates were there. I will be suing Rockford Lane Auto Sales for every penny and more. They lie, the tax money they put in their pocket until you have made enough payments and haven't had to call you for a payment. It disappoints them when you live up to your obligations because they do not!! I would not buy from this lot, they have nothing but junk on their lot and will bend over backwards to screw you to the wall!!!!

Buyer beware…read more Fiancée bought a used BMW X3 from here. Upon initial appearance, vehicle looked well taken care of, engine was clean, seemed to run great. All the BS started within a couple weeks of purchase and within a 3-4 month span: - brakes were shot. At first glance appeared ok and in decent condition. within 2-3 weeks vibrations and grinding began. I pulled off the wheels and pads were basically disintegrated. No way these were inspected prior to sale. Had to replace all 4 rotors, pads and both brake wear sensors = $435 - Car would not start after a quick run to grocery store. Couldn't jump it. Had to have it towed. Ultimately had to replace the battery. The one they installed had less than required CCA's and apparently a cell died in it (i.e. they threw a cheap battery in it that was out of specs). $138 + $150 tow fee. - Started having "low coolant" light come on sporadically, but never found a leak and reservoir was full. Eventually the expansion tank busted while we were over an hour from home. I was able to do a quick fix and seal the rupture to get it home. Ordered a new expansion tank only to discover a busted thermostat that sits in the bottom of expansion tank that controls flow to the transmission intercooler. Pressure build up popped the tank. It appeared to have been broken for a while and was in several pieces. $165 in parts plus approx. $30 in antifreeze. Had to disconnect and pull fan and entire radiator to repair. took a couple days to get it all done and right. - Coming home late one afternoon she heard knocking sound in rear. Pulled over to check it. Couldn't see anything wrong. Tried to put it in gear; would go in reverse but would "bind" going forward and not move. Had to have it towed to a shop. A bolt / part had come loose near on of the wheels and was interfering with wheel rotation. $200 tow + $100 for repair. - Oil leak appeared end of 2nd month. Could never pinpoint location but best guess is head gasket; hard to see anything in there without removing several parts. Towards the end, was requiring 1-2 quarts of oil refill a week. - Several electrical issues showed up a couple months after purchase: mirrors would "adjust" on their own; Sun roof shield decided to never close fully again one day, back hatch would only open with key. Also, the bumper piece on the bottom of back gate just fell off one day when she closed the hatch. All of the above showed up within 3 months of car purchase. Fortunately, we were able to trade it in for payoff price for a much better certified vehicle. I am positive there is a rear differential/U-Joint repair coming soon as it was starting to "clunk" in the rear every time it shifted from 1st to 2nd gear. Also, it is a "northern" vehicle; major rusting of frame from salted roads. Carfax was "clean" and appeared to have maintenance kept on it and it had extremely low miles for it's age so everything appeared to be good. While I didn't personally buy the vehicle, I did deal with the aftermath, cost and the repairs to keep it going so she could work and take car of kids long enough to get it traded off! For a business that apparently deals in import "luxury" style vehicles, there is no way this BMW should have been sold in the condition it was in. There is no way they didn't know it had these issues! I would never do business with this establishment!
