Full disclosure, I work for another auto group. I come here from time to time to drop off cars we need serviced because we don't sell Fords. Their service department is always unfailingly polite and helpful, when sometimes you don't get good help when you're coming from a 'competitor.' I've gotten good service both in and out of my 'uniform' identifying me as an employee of someone else's dealership. I usually interact with Will and he's a great help. If I had my own Ford to get fixed I'd bring it to Byerly. read more

Worst customer service. Spoke to two managers today and they told us they don't value us as customers because we bought an extended warranty through somebody they don't deal with. They refuse to work with the warranty company and we have spoken with the warranty company more than Byerly has. We were overcharged labor and charged for parts that were not installed on the truck. Scheduled a quick oil change for 10 am. Took my boyfriends truck up here to get it done. Figured it would take at most 1 hour. Turns out they pulled the truck out of the shop and didn't get to it until 2 and a half hours into me being here. Have not been told it will be discounted yet, but if it isn't then we will NOT be returning to this dealership. Absolutely uncalled for to have to wait OVER 2 and a half hours for an oil change. Also, worth noting, there were several people in the waiting room that got here after me, who have left with their vehicles while I have also been waiting. EDIT: I am still waiting. Buyer beware: This dealership plays games I emailed about information on a vehicle I saw on line. Kat called me this morning stating the vehicle was in stock at the showroom. We drove 2 hours out of our way, wasting our time and VERY precious gas to get to the dealership and they said that the vehicle had been sold a week ago. Make sure that when these people call you that you ask specific questions since they want to be underhanded and get you into the dealership at whatever cost. Let's just say, I am not thrilled to be lied to or if not lied to, then Kat doesn't know how to do her job as a customer service agent. I am excited to say that the Service Department has really stepped it up since I visited a few years ago! They used to be slow on minor jobs and not great at communicating. My recent experience was completely different! They were quick with my estimate and gave me updates. I was given an appointment same day! The waiting area is very nice and comfortable. They have snacks and coffee too! When I went to pick up my car, I had to wait a few minutes for the cashier. He didn't go through the work I had done or ask if I had any questions but was friendly enough. When he called for my car, they brought it in a jiffy! read more

They even scheduled a time so the "manager" could make sure it was ready for me. It was nowhere to be found and was finally told it was being serviced and , in fact, not available. Let me start by saying I have very little experience with buying cars. Granted, I just bought my third one, but when I was trying to find a used vehicle six years ago, I couldn't find a single dealer who was willing to help me out. As an extremely frustrated then-21 year old, I ended up at Byerly Ford. Tom Hyland was the dealer I worked with, and while all other dealers in the city basically laughed at my measly budget, Tom gave me THREE options for cars in my price range! When I left the lot in 2007, I drove off with a car that was in my budget (and actually worked). I ended up driving that car to the point of no return. As it came time to buy a new car, I so greatly appreciated Tom's prior help and I knew I was interested in a Ford; it was a no-brainer to go back to Byerly Ford. My dad and I returned for a visit on a Saturday, and I paid for and left with my brand new red 2013 Ford Fusion that Friday. I was pretty specific about what I wanted, and Tom Hyland worked hard (and made many phone calls) to find me exactly that. Spending so much money, I couldn't settle on what I wanted, so getting exactly that and in a fairly short time frame was greatly appreciated. Everyone else I interacted with was kind and treated me well. I'm knocking on wood as I type this, but if I ever need any repairs or help in the future, I will likely be right back at Byerly. I'll also add youngest sister got her first (and only) car here (used) as a 16 year old; I guess it has become somewhat of a family tradition! read more

I bought my car here 3 years ago. Prior to biying my car, I had my 2006 Ford Fusion serviced here until the day we traded her in for a new one. The service dept, specifically my service manager Chris, has always provided outstanding service and always been helpful. I traded in my 2006 Fusion with 240k miles, and am about to hit 100k on my 2014, so as you can see I am a frequent customer here. I scheduled service for my Van online and it was very easy to do, that's where easy took a leave of absence. I went in to the service department to drop off my key and the lady told me I was in the wrong spot and directed me where to go. I thanked her and headed over to the other shop that is on their lot, I was greeted in a pleasant manner and I explained I was sorry I was 5 minutes late I was at the other shop. He said I should be at the other shop and called over to see what was going on. Clearly they didn't have a clue what was up so after a couple minutes I told them I'd take it to another dealership and departed. If this is a reflection of how they do things, I'd prefer to spend my money elsewhere. Pro tip: Take my key, explain I'm at the wrong shop, but it's no problem you'll take care of it. I would have felt like you appreciated my business instead of passing the buck to the other guy, then the other guy was gonna bounce me back, instead, you lost a service customer, and someone who is likely to purchase another Vehicle in 6 months. read more

SO after a week of looking at vehicles my husband and I ended up at Byerly looking at a new base line explorer or a 3 year old xlt explorer. we were told that both vehicles had 4 wd and tow packages. The salesman had repeatedly asked me what I wanted on a vehicle, my reply was always the same, 4wd and tow package. After much back and forth my husband picked the used xlt that was supposed to have 9000 miles left on the factor bumper to bumper. While in closing the finance person showed how sexist he was. Our trade in was in my name only yet he had my husband sign all paper work for the deed transfer on my car, because when the document was wrote up it was wrote only in my husbands name. 3 days after we bought it the AC went out. the dealership was took it in and fixed it. When I went to pick it up the sales manager guy said "well we just put a new clutch in the ac. The clutch controls the ac". We bought an extended warranty at that time, that was when we found out it had no bumper to bumper left, that had expire 4 months prior. The check that I wrote had only my name on it yet once again the finance man wrote the paperwork to where only my husband name was on it. To top it off we just found out the vehicle does not have a tow package. MORAL of the STORY...they misrepresented the vehicle and treated me like I was a second class citizen. SO I would strongly advise not going to Byerly ford in shively. read more

When my daughter moved to Louisville to go to school 1300 miles away I was very concerned about making sure her car remained safe to drive. I found a local dealer nearby while she was at school and brought her truck in. I met Henry then and immediately I had trust in the dealership. Over the three years while she was in school, I would make appointments with him so she could have some minor repairs done and a couple of majors, too. I bought my 2018 mustang GT from a Kia dealer. When i got it it had some misfire codes and i was told the clutch had been replaced. The first dealer i wanted to go to was byerly because they are close to my house. the first trip, I explained the codes, that I was told a new clutch was in and that i only had owned it for a week. they took it back, called and said my spark plugs were bad and needed to be replaced and they recommended using higher octan fuel like 91/93 for a few weeks. I did this and the codes kept coming back, ran about 4 or 5 tanksof 91/93 fuel. I took it in a second time, I had to wait 4 days for it to even be looked at again because the "same" tech was supposed to look at it and he was off. when they did, they argued with me that they didn't tell me to use anything other that 87 (which is false as i have it recorded). then the proceed to tell me i'm putting e-85 in my care and i told them i don't even know where to get that. they also said its my gas pump, and i told them i take my wifes car and my truck to that same pump with no issues. I picked my car up and they tried to get me to smell some gas the said was from "my" car, but who knows where it came from. I took my car to bill collins ford, they took the time to give my car fixed. it ended up just being the clutch. I would never ever recommend anyone go to byerly for service. If you need to go any place for ford service take it to bill collins, they will get you taken care of and not try to make you sound like a clown and argue everything. read more

Something I was extremely clear on. Wouldn't fix his mistake so I end up getting screwed. Buyer Beware! Do not purchase a used vehicle from Byerly auto group. We purchased a new Pathfinder in 2014 and all went well so we decided to return when looking for a new vehicle for my wife and a used vehicle for my 17 year old son. We purchase a used ford escape for my son and within 2 hours of leaving the lot the Check Engine Lights started signaling. I reached out to the dealership via phone and email to inform them of the issue but received no reply. the next day I called the Used Car Sales Manager and he basically told me to pound sand because I purchased a used car and there was no warranty. I did not expect a warranty but I did purchase in good faith from what I thought was reputable company so I assumed they would stand behind the vehicle for at least 24 hours. Anyway, the day after purchased a used vehicle from Byerly we are spent $350 in a repair shop. My mechanic said it was not a new issue and the Check Engine light could have been reset but could n't be sure. Either way Byerly demonstrated some shady business practices and I will never purchase another vehicle from them. I suggest to anyone in the market for a used vehicle to avoid Byerly Auto Group. read more

This review is of the Byerly Ford/ Nissan used car dealership. While shopping for a good vehicle for myself I found an attractive vehicle online at this dealership. I called in, Set up an appointment, and checked the vehicle out. All good at this point, up until we got into the details. I wanted only a specific lender (Auto Truck Financial) as I am a member and they offer the lowest rates. My salesman said that I needed to finance through them in order to get the vehicle, so I stated that I only wanted my credit run through that institution, and singed off allowing him to run my credit. Suddenly I am getting notifications from my credit monitoring app that my credit had been run through SIX different lenders. My salesman tried to assure me that he was only trying to get me the "best possible" rate and was EXTREMELY pushy when I told him that I still had other offers that I was considering. He even gave me a discounted vehicle price, which we both agreed on when I told him that I would be returning with the proper loan documentation a day later. When I returned he did a complete 180 and said that I couldn't have the vehicle price that we BOTH AGREED ON. I couldn't get him to drop the price even after I showed him the Blue Book pricing, and displayed that the vehicle was overpriced. Long story short I took my business elsewhere and found the same model vehicle I wanted, but it was a year newer, had less miles, more features, and was cheaper. My husband and I are researching to find our soon to be 16 year old the vehicle she wants at the best price we can find. This dealership had a price listed on the vehicle that was unbelievable compared to other dealers, and it meant a 9 hour drive to get the vehicle but it would worth it to save the money. After multiple emails and the sales person knowing how far we lived away, my husband called to talk logistics; then, he is told... well.... the internet prices are actually for ford employees. Ridiculous. Were they expecting us to come that far and then spring an extra $10,000 on us. BEWARE. As long as you are not expecting to get the internet prices, you may be ok. read more

Silvia reached out to me in regards to my interest and clearly never paid any attention to what I was telling her. She said she could get me into a car for $300 over what I was wanting. When I told her that is more than I was wanting to spend she got extremely snarky and smarted off to me about the price of the car and that I should "keep that in mind". First I am not an idiot. We have been since April 28,2017 fighting Ford over a new 2017 that Byerly sold us new in November. Paint issues on door and stamp issue on other door. After two repairs by Byerly our 32,000 dollar Escape is left with compound, buff marks a crease in passenger door where they messed it up. Ford refuses to repair saying its Byerly took to two local Ford dealerships both refusing to touch it saying Byerly caused it. Byerly now is refusing to fix their mistakes. Got an estimate from body shop 3,600 to tux our Escape. Please do not buy from this dealership it's been 7 months if a nightmare. We have documentation after documentation. We are now having to hire a lawyer on a new 2017 Escape. read more
