I didn't realize just how lucky I was to have a room in 16North. The staff is truly amazing. They have been extremely compassionate, attentive and understanding with my situation. I have screamed when the pain shoots through me and cried yet they were still very compassionate with my situation and still helped me while smiling. They have listened to my concerns and have ensured that they were addressed. Although all of the staff that have been assigned to my care have been truly amazing and compassionate, I want to thank the following people: Kathleen B, Luisa, and Kate. I want to thank the 3 of you from the bottom of my heart. You really helped to make my stay a lot more bearable. Also thank you Stony Brook hospital for having the foresight to hire staff that truly care for their patients.
