It took me a few days to get over the trauma that Dr. Kirkwood put me through to extract those 2 teeth. I feel that he is some kind of a sadist, putting me through the pain that I felt from the needles he injected me with, without anesthetizing the area where the injections were going. As I was screaming from the horrible pain, all I was told that it would be over in a matter of minutes. I think he enjoyed hearing my horrible screams. It was quite barbaric. I definitely would not recommend them to anyone. If you feel apprehensive about your dental experience, definitely find another practice.

The wonderful receptionist, dark hair with glasses, was so nice and helped give me a great deal. The day I went into surgery a woman and Dr. Funt were extremely nice and helpful. I woke up numb and headed home, eight hours later I have almost no pain or issues. If you can make it to this office- you should, very professional, clean and friendly.

In my search for a new dentist, I was really excited that I heard back from this office very quickly, and was able to schedule an appointment within a week. The dentist was extremely nice and friendly, very caring, however, the actual cleaning that I was there for, and the x-rays made me decide that I will not return. Regarding the x-rays, the dentist did not put the lead smock on me. I was receiving x-rays without any protection from the lead apron. This is not like any experience I've had anywhere else. The cleaning took maybe five minutes because all the dentist did was water pick my teeth. There was no rushing, no flossing, and I did not leave the dentist with that wonderful, feeling of super smooth and clean teeth. Although he was very nice, it was the lack of care, and the lack of time that I felt was put into my cleaning. I take good care of my teeth, but I still expect to be brushed, flossed, anything other than a five minute water pick. X-rays and cleaning took no more than 10 minutes. Again, the doctor is super nice, but I will not be returning in six months for another cleaning.

I had first sought an opinion from a different…read moreoral surgeon who had told me under no uncertain terms that I needed to have surgery - and he had told me he would not be able to use anesthesia. I went to Dr. Moriconi expecting a similar experience, but instead he gave me a few options, described the pros and cons of each, and said if I did decide on surgery he would only do it in a hospital under anesthesia because there would be no way to get me comfortable enough otherwise. What a relief! The day of my appointment Dr. Moriconi had called my dentist to talk about my case before he even saw me. That really impressed me. For now I decided not to do anything (which was one of the options) and I will see how my condition progresses. He says it might take care of itself and as long as I am not in pain or discomfort there's no reason I shouldn't wait and see. He is not aggressive with the knife and that suits me just fine. The entire staff at his practice was professional, friendly, and very helpful through every step of the way. I'm so glad I got that second opinion!!

I went to him and he told me I had an infection, and despite the fact that I suggested I could also have a dry socket, he insisted that I did not. After many more days of suffering, I went back to him and he told me I had a dry socket. He repeatedly shot me with novocaine shots, despite the fact that I was screaming crying. He wouldn't give me a break but continued to inject my mouth. He didn't seem to care about my condition at all until he found out my father was a doctor. Do not go to him. He is awful and doesn't care about his patients.

Last year (2019) I had a broken veneer replaced in the Bay Area, redid the front 6 in order to keep…read morethe color consistent. It was done by a well known Dr, but unfortunately not correctly and started a cycle of TMJ. After several consultations with dentists and prosthodontists, I chose one to redo the replacement veneers. The temporaries were not aesthetically pleasing, and I switched to another cosmetic dentist, again well known with lots of examples of beautiful work on the website. This effort did not solve the bite issue, and a week after the new veneers, the TMJ was back and worse. By then the TMJ was affecting the musculature and visual appearance of my face. Luckily, an orthodontist friend introduced me to Dr. Kim. It was worth the five hour flights from San Francisco for treatment. Dr. Kim is extremely professional and patient. His first objective is the correct functioning of the jaw and bite. It took time to recover the natural bite and eliminate the TMJ. He patiently explained and answered lots of questions over an extended period of time, and gave me a lot of confidence that it would finally turn out right. Over the course of recovering the natural bite, we worked a lot on aesthetics. After the studying and experiences I've been through, I know what good teeth look like. He took into consideration the length, bulk, and size of teeth to make a natural smile and appearance when talking.
