I got lucky and there had been a cancellation (this is a Friday afternoon mind you), and I got an appointment for 3pm. I walked in at 3pm and saw Dr. Lieber no later than 3:01pm (ok, so I had to fill out the necessary forms first, but you get the idea). He was just like his staff - super friendly, super nice, and super informative. He looked at it and explained it was a lateral ankle sprain, and proceeded to wrap the ankle nice and tight and told me to stay off it and keep it elevated the best I could. The next day, the ankle started to heal, but by Sunday, it felt as if nothing happened. The weekend could have been a disaster, Dr. Lieber helped make it a great one. I couldn't be more appreciative of his efforts.

If you've ever suffered from chronic severe plantar fasciitis you know the hopelessness, frustration, despair, and chronic pain that greets every day. At one point I honestly was just feeling like please amputate my foot and just be done with this! When your mobility is effected, it has a domino effect on so many other areas of our life. For example with that kind of pain constant, I was no longer able to go to the gym. So then My stress level started increasing because I couldn't burn it off sweating it out. Then I started eating more food because I got stressed. Which made me put on more weight. Which made me more depressed. Which caused more pain on my planter fasciitis because I was carrying more weight on it and putting more pressure on the heel. Then I started getting more irritable. And my relationships started to suffer. I was not able to participate in recreational activities or even take a nice hike in nature. Which started to effect my sleep patterns.
