I stopped going for a month and switched to another gym, and this one seems to have the best equipment variety without being overly packed. The staff are nice as well, I had trouble with my 24 hour access and they made it so easy to fix my issue without any trouble. I recommend checking it out if you're looking for a gym in the area.

A few month ago I got into a workout rut. I have always been very active and went to various…read moreclasses (bootcamps, kickboxing, spin, etc) but after a while I always get bored. I never push myself very hard when I work out on my own. I found Crossfit ASC on living social and had one month of unlimited membership. After the first day I was hooked. The workouts are awesome, and Nick (the owner) breaks down each exercise for you (which was particularly helpful since I hadn't done crossfit before). The workouts are challenging, but they can be scaled to be easier/harder depending on your level. Everyone is super friendly and will push you to achieve your goals, whether it is learning how to do your first pull up or getting a new pr on your deadlift. If you are in the area give ASC a try, its the best gym in the area! (warning: crossfit is addicting!!)

They do have an extensive array of cardio machines which is nice, certainly high tech ones at that. It's also a membership based gym, but you're paying for amenities like the pool, sauna, while extra payment is needed for personal trainers. I personally never used anything but the gym equipment here because I always come as a guests since my parents are members. They have some interesting process for guest members such as getting their blood pressure taken and I've seen guest clients be turned away temporarily because of it.

They also have separate areas where you can do class or even video workouts if you follow video workouts Service: quick check in and if you want to buy a drink that they sell then the process is quick as well. I haven't tried the tanning bed or extra service they offer yet so I don't have much to say about those for now. I bought a Groupon for a few weeks at SETS as a way to stay a little active while back in NJ for…read morethe winter holiday and it was absolutely phenomenal! I always try reduced-rate weeks at local fitness studios when I travel and SETS is by far my favorite. As a new attendee, I immediately felt welcomed by the trainers as well as the others in the class. Even on higher capacity days, the trainers treated us all as individuals, cheering us or pushing us to reach our potential. Every class was unique and HARD - in the best possible way! I never felt that my time was wasted. Those 60 minutes were efficiently organized and all of my muscles were put to the test. In just 2.5 weeks I could already feel stronger and could see the beginnings of muscles I never knew I had before. What was more amazing was that even though my only cardio during that time was the bootcamp it wound up shaving 30 seconds off my mile run time! While I don't live in NJ, I'll absolutely fit in as many workouts at SETS as possible next time I'm back.
