Just like the cookie, except without the random guilt trip from a little kid outside Walmart giving you the hard sell while you're trying to buy meal-prep chicken for the week. And yes, I realize I just compared buying ice cream to avoiding Girl Scouts. Stay focused. The ice cream here is just ridiculously good. Great flavors, great texture, and exactly what you want after dinner, before dinner, or honestly whenever you happen to be walking around the Square and decide calories don't count in Oxford. The Samoas flavor is the standout for me, but this is one of those places where you could probably order almost anything and be happy. Oxford has plenty of great places to eat, but every trip here should either start or end at Oxford Creamery. Preferably both.

The Oxford creamery is a quaint little spot that has an old school southern vibe. We saw My Big Fat Greek wedding as a menu item so we obviously had to go with a large order of that in a waffle cone bowl. My big fat Greek wedding was absolutely decadent and delicious. This item is an absolute must try, with pistachio and baklava and honey and vanilla ice cream, this treat is a 10/10. The Oxford creamery knocks it out of the park with this desert. An absolute delicious treat. Truly magnificent. Stop in to see the friendly staff and tray a tasty treat while you're there.

When I went to this location there were 4 women working, and it was around 9:30. So I got in line and picked out my ice cream and was having it mixed. While this was occurring, the door opened and in came about 3 people. The woman mixing my ice cream loudly groans, and says she's never getting off. I asked her what time they closed (because I try not to come into restaurants right as they close because I recognize they want to go home too) and she said 11. It was like 9:35. She had a whole hour at the very least before she got off. This attitude of complaint for doing the required work was pretty standard among the women. For instance, one woman complained that she had just chopped the brownies for tomorrow and now she had to use them today because they were out. That's kinda how food service is, you gotta replace the used product. And all of this complaining was done easily in earshot, right in front of my place. Lastly, when my friend and I left the creamery, it was around 10 and the women had most definitely started closing down. They were washing things, putting things away. I would not be surprised if after we left, an hour before they close, they locked the doors and called it a day. Whoever owns this location, hire better staff.
