Not a fan. Service was poor. Felt like I was imposing on the girl taking my order for ordering coffee. Order coffee and avocado toast with an egg. My coffee was made incorrectly and wasn't full and was not good. My avocado toast had balsamic vinegar on it, which I was unaware it was going to be added to the toast. I spotted this place from my hotel window and was grateful that I wouldn't have to travel far for a good, strong coffee in the morning. Once I arrived there this morning, I felt like a kid with a new toy (okay, indulge me a little bit, please). I walked in and the vibe from this place was so inviting--the opposite of what coffee is supposed to do to you; calm and soothing. My barrister, I'll say "N" (forgot just that quick), was ready to take my order with a smile. There was such a large selection that I didn't know where to start. So, let me add that "N", this was the very first person who ASKED ME, " tell her what you like". My brain was like, " this does not compute." People don't take the time to ask these types of questions. She tailored my drink to my specifications, and it came out perfectly. For the sake of this review, I'll share what I had. However, let me warn you that my taste buds are not the same as yours. It was two shots of espresso (always) made like a latte but with a small shot of vanilla flavoring. Again, it was just right. Before there is any judgment, I am not one of those nitpicky coffee people. LAUGH... I look forward to hitting up this Coffee Bar again before leaving this area. Waited over an hour after ordering two breakfast sandwiches to keep being told we were next. Finally spoke to someone else who said they didn't make our order cause they were out of ONE ingredient on ONE sandwich. And still planned on charging us the $40 for two sandwiches we never got. Big space, but feels more like partially emptied former Buffalo Wild Wings than a coffee spot. We quickly lost hope when, "What are you brewing?" was answered with "medium roast". Hmmm, medium roast Kenya, Costa Rica, South American blend, or even 'sirloin tips' would have been a better answer. My bride asked for an Americano with a few chunks of ice added so it's drinkable same day (can no one understand 202 degree Fahrenheit water from the espresso machine is not the only filtered water a place should possess?!). I requested a cappuccino. As you can guess, the Americano could melt metal and the cappuccino was a fairly blah latte with 1/2 inch of hard foam. The bagels were fine. Overall not a coffee go-to. We should have just settled for the dirty water my friend was getting from Chick-Fil-A; about the same mediocre joy in the cup but with a nicer attitude and without the let down. read more

I have them a second chance today the last time it was a Sunday morning and I waited in the drive thru I know 30 minutes for Matcha it was awful. I was here this morning around 7:45 and witnessed a interaction with a customer who did not like her drink. Where do I start? I ordered a coffee with an extra shot and she failed to included so when I took the coffee back and asked to purchase the extra shot they wanted to charge me more than double the price and told me it was because I didn't add it to the coffee initially. What?! The extra shot went from $.60 to $1.98 for her failing to add it when I asked for in the first place. I've never heard of such a thing though even if it is a shot after the fact. Because I was questioning it she got frustrated walked off and said don't worry about it there's no charge. I also ordered a breakfast sandwich that I had ordered there before and got all the way to my office before realizing the guy put hot sauce on it. Let's not discuss the fact that he was in the back office playing on the phone or doing whatever until someone called him out to make the sandwich. He didn't wash his hands, just walked straight up to the back area, put on gloves and made it. I said nothing, choosing to just get out of there as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, I got to my office and bit into the sandwich only to discover he put hot sauce on it! There was nothing on the menu stating hot sauce was on the sandwich. I'd had the sandwich before and it did not have hot sauce. Nor did he ask me before putting it on whether I even want it hot sauce. I called ahead and let them know I was going to come back to the location and quickly exchange the sandwich for one with no hot sauce. The woman on the phone told me it would take a few minutes and I told her no problem because it would take me about 10 minutes to make it to her. So imagine my shock when I got there and the same guy was standing at the counter chitchatting with them, saw me approaching the counter and slowly strolled over to begin making the sandwich again. What!? My frustration was very apparent and the woman from the phone spoke up and told me they were doing the best they could. I clearly explained to her "the best they could" would be letting folks know when you're putting hot sauce on a breakfast sandwich rather than making that decision for me, "the best they could" would be actually following through to re-make the sandwich like you clearly stated you would before we hung up! If that's their best, my advice is to find better elsewhere. $14 for a breakfast sandwich and coffee is overpriced, but I'd rather pay that than go through the hassle I went through to have them ultimately refund me in the end. read more

Found this new coffee shop near my hotel. Happens to be during the shop's soft opening period. My latte was delicious, and the kale & cheddar scone was phenomenal. I'll definitely make this a stop on my future visits to Oxford. They have lots of nice table and chair seating indoors, but I opted for a comfy adirondack chair in the shade outside. read more
