So has anybody had problems with there billing. They gave me richard hogan as my attorney litsrally he did absolutely nothing for my case kept telling me all the motions hed file would get denied over something stupid like the ink was blue or something was mispelled or this and that. I found out the only motion he filed was 170.6 to have the judge changed because he kept denying the motions that werent filed. Another issue i kept giving him a counter offer for the da and he never even tried i ended up with a pd furst court date he gave the da my offer and they took it. He completely didnt show up to one of my court dates made me look stupid when the judge asked me where he was and i didnt know. He was extremely rude and Unprofessional when he talked to my mother every other word was f-this or f-that. Then to top it off he literally came into the back holding cell of the court house and talked to me and asked if i minded if he resigned from the case because he didnt think he could represent me fairly because the judge didnt like him. I asked him about 5 different times if i would get a full refund and he continuously reassured me that yes i would. So i told him yea that was fine as long as i got my money back when we went into court he asked the judge if he could resign and the judge asked why and he said because he had to drive up to me and the judge asked if he would be okay with zoom and he said yes thats fine he could continue. Then at my next court date hed filed the 170.6 motion to disqualify the judge and he asked to resign again and the judge asked if hes resigning if if he still wanted to file the motion and he said no and i let him resign thinking i was gonna get a full refund. I was in jail for 9 mo i literally couldnt get ahold of him for the first 6 months i was there because he wouldnt call the jail and register his number as a private number. Now on to marble there billing is sketchy so my total overall was 11,000 and i had it down to like 7600 but they tried to say that i only had 1 payment of 1800 on dec 14 and they told me if i had bank statements to prove the others then they can work with me i found 2 other payments on my bank statements one for 925 and another for like 834 one on 8/16 and 6/10 and the lady told me that there was an issue that my payments got combined but online on marble those 2 payments were completely gone. And i tried to tell her if they added it all up it came out to exactly 11,000 and she proceeded to tell me i was wrong. Then she tried to say that they just started with a new billing system and then told me since my attorney resigned that my contract total had changed without even giving me notice witch is bs because they never even tried having me sign a new contract. Another problem ive had with them is from jan 11,14, 17th they tried charged my card for $4171.00 then jan 20,23,26,28,31 feb,3,6,9,12,15, 18th they tried to charge me $5015 they charged my card every 3 day from jan-aug and the 2 payments i proved with bank statements werwnt even on there. Honestly there is so much more wrong with this company. DONT CHOOSE MARBLE. i am giving you better advise than any of there shady lawyers its 100% a shady firm, they tried to say they didnt keep record of payments. $5000 for a single zoom court appearance. I'll be paying $163/month for the next several years. The attorney I had did her best, however nothing changes the fact that I did all the work myself, and no real headway was made in my case. Unfortunately, it was my bad for not doing my investigating about getting a local lawyer first. Custody hearings in Santa Cruz County are always super biased. I'm a single father on welfare, with disabilities. Going to school full-time and raising my daughter all on my own. Mom is driving around a brand-new car, probably still dealing drugs, never paid a dime of child support, and still gets unsupervised visitation. The only reason I got the upper hand in this situation is because mom failed to appear for a surprise drug test, I ARRANGED.... The attorney I'm still making payments on had absolutely nothing to do with this. In fact, the judge shut her down and made me do the talking because she was stumbling over the facts in the case, and her internet connection was subpar. I wish I could get at least a partial refund. The only redeeming factor about this law firm is that when I can't afford a payment, they skip a month. Otherwise, I'd go with zero stars. Also, this county always takes mom's side no matter how great a father you are. I just want mom to be court ordered to go to rehab, but it'll probably never happen. I really can't blame Marble for that, but they certainly didn't help in this case, which involved an episode in which my 5 year old daughter was met with verbal and emotional abuse by her mother and her mother's boyfriend. Marble Law offers a payment plan so I reached out. Spoke to one of the managing attorneys and he was great so I signed with them. After being paid $11,000.00 they assigned my case to an attorney who doesn't work for Marble but has a contract with them. That attorney did absolutely nothing and continued to request more money and also kept trying to persuade me to settle. I could have settled before I paid Marble's fees. She never filed my response to the court and left me fighting against my husband's attorney on my own. The case was so simple that even without an attorney I still wan't losing so with an attorney this case could have easily been over with. My calls weren't been returned by anyone except my newly assigned case manager, no responses to text messages, and I was even hung up on whenever I requested to speak to the finance department. They did issue a full refund but I had to send out several emails and contact the bank that financed the loan and ask them to dispute the arrangement. I left a review on a different site but Marble is working nonstop to have that review removed after I refused to edit or delete it. Attorney fees can be expensive but I recommend finding ways to pay an attorney up front who's going to actually work on your case. That's what I had to do and my situation has completely turned around since disengaging with Marble Law. read more

If I could give a negative star review I would. DO NOT go through Marble Law if you care about what you are fighting for. We had my stepson taken away and moved hours away by his mother against the court order. We had my stepson for June and July so we decided to hire a layer to enforce the geographical restriction we have on the court order BEFORE the move was completed. We hired an attorney by the name of Judy Sutton on June 8, 2022. Within the week we sent her the court order to review and notified her that the mother was going to be moving in July. She informed us to keep my stepson for July as the court order stated. SHE DID NOT FILE ANY MOTIONS UNTIL AUGUST!! After knowing that this was time sensitive and all she could so was apologize as she knew she messed up. We constantly emailed her for updates and called and sent text messages. She would take days to get back and so we reached out to Marble caseworkers. Mother moved on August 1st after we had to give him back for the end of our parenting time and nothing was filed until August 5th! After a TRO was issued, it never served because she didn't live here anymore. The court date could not go through since they had trouble serving her and come to find out SHE FILED THE PAPERWORK INCORRECTLY USING THE WRONG DATE OF BIRTH FOR MY STEPSON!!!. It has been over TWO WEEKS since we have heard from the lawyer. We called the caseworker Nakia last Wednesday and she informed us she would reach out to Judy and follow up with us in a few days. IT HAS BEEN A WEEK with no answer from anyone. This company seems to be quick to get you signed up and then you are left confused and lost and without your child. MARBLE LAW SHOULD NOT EXIST AT LEAST FOR FAMILY LAW!!! Now we have lost $8000 for the most incompetent lawyer. They should not have lawyers who do not have time for their clients! Hands down the worst experience of my life. My daughter has been kept from me for a year. My divorce and child custody were all I needed. It started with David Castro being a complete and utterly useless individual. Between him and his paralegal they kept mixing up my paperwork. I needed a lawyer for my child custody hearing just to represent me for 2 hours, I did all the paper work by my self. (Legal & physical custody was the goal) . They said that would be $3700. I have no choice but to go for it because of my situation at that time. They said there will be 30 minutes consultation with the lawyer first, which they did contact me for consultation. The consultation lawyer seems very knowledgeable. I thought that is whom I am going to end up with but it turns out they did assigned me to another "lawyer". He was very unprofessional! Every time I called he will say he is in a meeting & he prefers I email him. During the hearing the lawyer (Edgar Diaz) & I attended via zoom. He attended the hearing from his car which was very dark and he can't be seen, even the judge said where are you at, you are not being seen multiple times. He was driving because he had another appointment so he attended my hearing while driving to another appointment. Finally, my goal was to get Legal and Physical Custody of my child from his alcoholic father. The judge decided I get visitation for now and determine the case later. Charged me $3100 through wise stack loan company and all the attorney did was send an initial response to the lawsuit and then initial disclosure. That's it. That's what I got for $3100 + ingest on the loan. I was informed today that's all they're doing for me unless I pay more money. My husband hired Marble Law in November 2021 for a civil as well as a criminal law case (DUI). He signed papers and they started drafting funds. They jumped on the civil case which was eventually dropped. The criminal case however was a huge failure from the beginning. Lawyer didn't go on record until February. There has been NO arraignment, NO Pre-Trial. We offered a plea which was NOT taken to the court. We contacted Marble Law July 2022 to get new representation. New lawyer called maybe twice and we haven't heard from him since. Now they are dropping us as a client and we still have NO resolution with the courts resulting in a suspended license. Do not use this company as they take advantage of people in their most lowest time, I had to do my own paperwork and file it for a divorce that would have been late! Never signed any paperwork for the divorce that was completed and I am being charged $750 because I notarized paperwork terminating them. I did not hear anything on my case once all the paperwork was turned to be advised they where working on it until I terminated them with a notarized paper. 50 had already been paid for a consultation which I agree should be paid but to make me pay when they know a divorce is already a financial hit changing money statuses along with the emotional roller coaster I am already dealing with is NOT okay. This is the most unresponsive and unprofessional law firm. Dealing with their customer service is the most challenging part. With the lack of communication with attorneys and paralegals and the bare minimum of help from customer service, take your money elsewhere. You will wait 1-3 business days for any concern, then never receive a call. Then when you call back, it's another 1-3 business days, and the circle repeats. I constantly call about the same issues and get the same cookie-cutter answer. No supervisor can help, and customer service is the only number not to receive help. It may be affordable, but you get what you pay for. Take your money to a more professional firm because Marble Law is anything but professional. You already deal with many stressors needing legal help, but dealing with this company makes it 100 times worse. I initially reached out to Marble mid June regarding a family law matter. I wish that I had read reviews outside of their website. All communication with Marble has been initiated by me. When I called or emailed, a "ticket" was created and I was told that I would hear back from someone within 3 days. I would call numbers after someone calling me back (told each time it was their direct line) same voicemail no matter what phone number. I was told in my initial contact that I would have a Marble team to support me. After a few frustrating days of leaving messages, 2 people called back to go over the process and address my concerns. The primary concern was that my attorney was over 4 hours away from where I lived. Since my hearing is virtual, that wouldn't be a problem except that I was told by Heather, the initial attorney I spoke with in Texas that she could not represent me because she is out of the area. Doesn't make sense. I was told my attorney would reach out with 48 hours but I had to call and leave a message with Marble that I had not heard from her. She did send an email with a questionnaire in which I was told must be completely filled out prior to any communication. I did what I could, but also waited 3 days to get an answer to a question from Marble. I spoke with my attorney for 5 minutes. Since then I have sent emails and copied everyone, as requested. Never even received a confirmation of receipt. I did get 2 emails reminding me to copy everyone. I have also been told that my attorney is busy and gets a lot of emails or phone calls. Yesterday, after spending 3 days trying to find out what time and day I would finally talk with my attorney, I was told she call me between 1-2 today, Saturday. I explained that my son had a tournament all weekend but I could talk at 12 before our next game. I waited in the car from a little before 12 to 12:45. She did call at 12:22 but it must have gone straight to voicemail due to being out of range. She tried again at 12:51, but I was already with the players. She left a message that she was busy the rest of the day, did her part but I didn't answer, and she would have to talk with me Tuesday before morning hearing. How can you prepare to adequately represent someone? I had previously expressed my concerns and Robin and Misty assured me all would be okay and they were part of my "team" available to assist me. I have not heard from either since. Paige, who came on the scene last week has communicated with me and uploaded things on my behalf but everything else has been terrible. If I had known, that this is how this process would be, I never would have used Marble. I want a full refund of my $2000. I am the only one working on my behalf. read more

Based on the reviews I'm glad that no more of my time was wasted. I spoke with someone named Zach. instead of it being an interview it felt like an interrogation. After telling him about harassing text messages at my job he argued me that I never mentioned that. When I asked to speak to someone over him he said he was the highest up then proceeded to tell me that he couldn't help me because of the details provided, which was discrimination on my race and religious beliefs. This is my third time reviewing. This place is the absolute worst! DO NOT USE THIER SERVICE! I decided to go with them thinking it would be ok, it took forever for them to do anything! And the lawyer they set me up with, Andrea Cartwright was so unprofessional. Any time I asked a question she had an attitude. I called to see about getting another lawyer, because she was very rude and I asked about submitted text msgs and everything went left. Then I get a call from this company saying the lawyer said "she's just unable to help you and you will be unhappy with everything so there's nothing else we can do" I literally was only asking how to submit text msgs and the Ms. Cartwright apparently didn't want to do the work. Then she finally made my motion to the court, but i no longer have representation because now they are saying they refuse to. If there was a way to submit the emails between me and this lawyer I would. I was not in ANY way mean, or just complaining for nothing. So for them to do this is ridiculous. I was told once I was to get my court date they would set me up with another lawyer. Except when I did, I only received an email saying they won't. This place is awful. Can I give negative stars? I hires a subcontracted attorney for a workers comp case. The attorney was absolutely terrible. He would not return phone calls he did not want to work he was lazy he did not show up for appointments like the one before our mediation when he was supposed to prepare me and then came into the mediation half coherent and proceeded to embarrass me and tell me what a terrible witness I was in front of the mediator when he failed to show up to our appointment and prepare me. When I expressed my concerns and feelings about this towards him he immediately dropped me which was actually Great because I now have an attorney who is ethical and can do their job. Now this attorney who is with marble law is threatening me for defamation in a lawsuit because I left an honest review of my experience and now he is defaming me by stating that I committed insurance fraud. He is trying to use scare tactics and abusing his position and I will be reporting him to the state bar. Marble law was contacted and I told them what had been going on. I was promised an investigation and a return phone call within 48 hours. I was never contacted I have now written emails to them hoping to hear back but I doubt I will hear anything. There's no contact phone number on their website and this entire organization is a complete and utter disgusting failure. I am considering hiring an attorney and suing for malpractice as it was upon following the advice of my attorney that damaged my case. He sent an email to me telling me that my case was closed because I didn't do what I was supposed to do when I was following his advice. He didn't even know that my case wasn't closed and the insurance agent was still waiting for him to get back to her regarding a settlement offer. I cannot stress enough how bad this firm is. It's insane to imagine they thoroughly support attorney's lying and scamming you out of your hard earned money. Which is exactly what this company will do to you. *DO NOT SPEND MONEY HERE* It will offer you shiftless, lazy representation if any at all. James lied and never even entered as the attorney of record in my toddler's case. They gave me their generic spiel about how the attorney "wrote a draft" and completed most of the work I payed for. - get this. They had the nerve to tell me that when the same day/week I hired James, I had been calling Marble daily trying to hunt him down. I couldn't get a word out of him let alone to work on my daughter's matter. Imagine getting payed thousands of dollars to sit at home and ignore clients. Marble and their network do it every day. Laughable how the attorney completed "75% of the work I hired for," after refuting that for what it is, just laughable. - they called an hour later to say its now 35% complete. Highly recommend to any scorned clients, to report the company for fraud, report their charges to your bank, and locate your local state BARs' to report the attorneys'. I was very hesitant on writing this review because I've seen people state that they were dropped as clients. I can't afford that. I reached out to marble law in September for a custody case. At that point I had already filed the motion and just needing someone to rep me and make sure i did the right thing. Upon reaching out I went through the proper steps to explain my case. At that point I was contacted and charged $49 for a "consultation" at this point I believed the consultation was recorded and me deciding to go with them, all the information I have them would be sent to my attorney. A Few days later I was contacted numerous times to make my payment to get started I mean over and over through text email and phone call. I honestly just needed some time to get my thoughts together and being on the low income side of things how I was going to be able to even afford the services. All I knew was I wanted my daughter back. I finally made contact and they wanted $244 dollars. I told her I did not have it at the moment she said well what could you pay to get us started on your case. I said half and she took a payment of $122. At that point I was assigned an attorney who did call four days later and a case manager that reached out via email. ok here's where it got crazy. After I made the payment I heard absolutely nothing from anyone I began to reach out to see if there was any update on the case and radio silence for at least two weeks finally I talked to my case manager she said the lawyer would get in contact with me. The lawyer called 5 days later asking me the same information I gave him the first conversation we had and said he was going to get the other party served. We are at least a month in from making my first payment. At that point I'm like ok things are moving along. Not at all I recently logged on to see the actual case through the county he has not been served and also no lawyer has put in that they are representing me. And to add to it my case has been put in a no service calender hearing meaning because the inactive status and no communication to the courts they are about to dismiss it. Oh by the way i stopped payment for my monthly payments because I'm not getting the service I paid for. now I'm receiving threatening emails that they are sending my account to collections owing them over $1700. Im heartbroken for putting my trust and money into them. Money I don't have but want my daughter back and making sacrifices. I feel scammed and exposed. I retained this office sometime ago for my divorce. I had an initial consultation and have been making monthly payments. I never heard back from the attorney I consulted with. After many emails and calls and waiting, she finally responded saying she was no longer my attorney. How can an attorney drop your case and not let you know? Nobody seems to know what's happening with my case or who the new attorney is. I continue to send emails to find out about my case and a case manager responded stating that they would get back to me and they never did. This situation is causing me a lot of grief and it is an expense. The situation is unprofessional. I have to consider than my attorneys of record since I have retained them and I am making payments, so they owe me a response and follow up on my case. This is not happening. read more
