And at this location, on Dale Mabry near I-275, there's the nicest clerk at the main checkout. She's so pleasant, first thing in the morning. I so appreciate that-and her! Because this gas station is incredibly close to the car rental center at Tampa International Airport. I mean close. Like walking distance close. Use your maps program, and it will guide you down a few hundred feet through an adjacent back street and suddenly you're on Airport Service Road with the car rental center right in front of you. No getting back on the highway. No more traffic of any kind. You probably won't even see another car. Discovering this gas station as the spot to refill before returning the rental car may be very favorite thing about flying in and out of TPA. For what it's worth, I've always found the employees to be friendly too. Seriously, if you fly into Tampa a lot and rent a car, bookmark this gas station on Yelp for reference. It's tiny cramped lot so pulling in and finding a pump on your fuel side is tricky. The Libra are barely wide enough to pass to you can't pull through and quickly reverse. Long lines inside to pay. While the two guys working there were nice they made some financial mistakes. I overestimated how much fuel I needed by $13.50 and they said it would go back on it my card. Went back inside for a correct receipt, but they could not or could not print the correct receipt. And then handed me $9 cash. When I said I owed $13.50 they took the cash back and said it would go to my card and handed me a receipt for $2. Waiting for that refund that may or may or happen. The price of gas here is the same as several stations in the area. Given how narrow the lanes are and not refunded the difference, there's no real reason to use this gas station over any other.
