As I said, it is older and needs a face-lift on its ambiance, but it is a decent enough place to go. I ended up just getting a cold drink (in warm weather, you have to stay hydrated). The service was okay. You don't see a lot of convenience stores as gas stations now have convenience stores. There is a Wawa up the street from here even. But, all in all, this is a decent enough convenience store option.

In the past two weeks that I've been here one lady was straight up eating a sandwich while cashing out guests, and another time a different female was eating a bag of Doritos and licking her fingers in between customer cash outs and wiping her hands on her pants. Not only is that disgusting and unsanitary, but your customers don't want their items to be touched by the hands of someone that's been eating at the cashier station and also don't want to be rude and do what should be the manager's job to begin with.

The big advantage to this gas station is that it is just off of 95. This makes for a very convenient easy on and easy off gas stop, pretty much a gas up and hit the road again. There are also several restaurants not far from this particular location, so if you want to tie this gas stop into a meal stop, as well. Again, this location has definitely seen better days and would probably benefit from a facelift. There are a lot of gas stations in this area and this one would be easy to overlook. So while I would recommend it, I would also recommend to upper management to take some time and give this place the attention it deserves and make it look like it's a viable gas station. If not, I'm afraid that it could fall to the wayside, forgotten and looking neglected. So the next time you are driving down 95 I need gas and happened to be by the Bowden Avenue exit in Jacksonville, Florida, take the exit and give this place to try. Hopefully by then, it will be looking a lot better.

They carry the loose tobacco here I use to roll my own cigarettes, but it's $2 more expensive than the place I get it in Callahan. It's nice they have it though for when I'm not going to be in the Callahan area and I'm out. I picked up a new cigarette rolling machine here for just $35. Everywhere else I looked the price was $60 for the same machine, so that was a great deal! This is also the closest store that has my cigarettes for the cheapest price (for when I'm not in the mood to roll any myself). 4 stars for being conveniently located near my home, having the best cigarette prices, and carrying the loose tobacco I use. Its a minor complaint but if you needed gas or any grocery items after 10 or 11 PM, you had a long drive ahead of you. I was just happy they reopened at all, but I've got to say its really nice in here. Shiny, new, and well organized its a nice place to shop. It also really says something to me that most of the employee's are the same ones from before they demolished it. The Gate company must have taken care of them during the move, and it was a good idea, they're pretty friendly and helpful [compared to most gas station employees, for sure]. I feel lame writing such a long review about a chain gas station, but its a wonderful thing to have a clean, safe store open late in the area.
