Visiting this 7-Eleven also gave me the chance to grocery shop in an area that I am familiar with being Melrose Park. The location of this 7-Eleven is very congested due to the many businesses and restaurants it consists of, yet it is very safe. Immediately upon entering to locate a gas pump, I took notice of how well-maintained the space is, plus the yellow Amazon Hub Locker (Biathlon) which is hard not to notice because most 7-Eleven locations have them. Unlike most gas stations that give off a filthy vibe, it did not give off that urge of me wanting to sanitize my hands after utilizing the gas pump even though I did anyway. With the printer being down at the gas pump, I ended up having to go inside to pick up my receipt from the clerk to upload proof of purchasing gas on Upside. With cash back involved, it is the only reason why I would go inside of a location to retrieve my receipt. After uploading my receipt via Upside, I received my $0.30 cent cash back within the hour I put in for it via the platform as I conducted errands in Melrose Park. The set up itself is strange as it is small in terms of getting to the pumps and the ramps to get there off of Mannheim road are very steep. You can't just power your way up the entrance to the pump as you may scrap the bottom of your car. There is small store but I have never been in it, but I have seen a LOT of people that pull in here to go to the store that never get gas. I do want to go in to see if they sell any type of wine as they do advertise that they sell beer. But there are several things that make this Shell station one I go to a lot: 1 - the prices are very competitive for the area and if you have rewards card through Jewel, you get discounted prices on your gas based on your spending. I have gotten as much as twenty cents off of the price for a gallon of gas. 2 - I have never had an issue with performance of my car with this station's gas. I have had issues in the past with some of the stations where it caused my car to pull and drag. 3 - this is the only station that I am aware of that regularly cleans and disinfects it's pumps. And when I say clean, I mean the entire pump, from top to bottom. During these times of COVID, that is amazing. I have seen this being done on several occasions and the people performing the task have been thorough on wiping everything down.

This Shell is small, and navigating through it trying to get to an unoccupied pump is a pain in the ass. What the hell were they thinking? I once got an attitude from a clerk here, because god forbid, I used my f**king debit card to pay for something. The only reason to come here is for that Shell quality gas. But if you drive a bucket and don't care, go somewhere that has cheaper gas, doesn't have surly employees and has more snack/coffee/beverage/options.

Mostly stuff like Modelo, Tecate, Victoria (Latin brands), but they've also got Heineken and Becks. Booze prices are reasonable, if a tad higher than what's sold at the Delta Sonic a mile east of here. Snack selection is solid; they've got flavors of Slim Jims that other places don't carry! This SuperStation also features a heated lazy susan with pizza puffs and other vaguely questionable items not unlike what you'd find at a 7-11. Workers are usually pretty friendly. A quickie car wash and Dunkin Donuts are attached to this small gas station complex, making it a great one stop shop for all your gasoline/muffin/beef jerky/alcoholic needs.
