Great stop!! We…read moregassed up before hitting I-10 west. The bathrooms were in good condition. What made this a great stop was the burritos! There is a Dickies BBQ on site, but that is just a chain. I noticed when I walked past to the restrooms that there was a window to the kitchen and a hand kept reloading the foil wrapped burritos into angled shoots full of goodness. There were three of us so my hubby snagged a chicken, steak and a bean & cheese. We got back in the car and headed on our way. I had the steak, he had the chicken and my sis-in-law had the bean & cheese. Mine had grilled pieces of steak, beans, cheese and chunks of potato. It had a great kick of green chile that let you know that Hatch was nearby. My husband took a bite of his and let out a "Woooo!" There was some heat rocking in his burrito. He asked his sis if she would like a trade and she did. (I wasn't giving mine up) She took breaks between bites to let the heat dissipate. That was legit! The bean and cheese was delicious as well. I saw the charge cleared my bank shortly thereafter on Friday but then saw an additional "Hold" ? charge of $125.00 was also posted by the Shell station. I waited three days to contact anyone as these holds are usually released after the posting of the actual charge and it was a weekend. On Monday 1/19/25 both charges are still showing on my bank account. I called the station to get them to release the hold and was told to call the bank because the station couldn't release it. It's a bank holiday today (MLK Birthday) so I am unable to call the bank. The person at the station that I spoke to was unable to help. I asked to speak to the owner and manger, both of which were not available. So I am now restricted from using my own money for absolutely NO reason. I will not return here for gas and will likely never order pizza from their Papa Johns franchise as well even though it has been my preference for years. Customer service simply does not exist!
