That meant emergency food kept me alive/sustained until my next substantial meal--which was at this exceptionally clean stop, specifically in the Western section/Dairy Queen. I obviously didn't have a (motor)vehicle tank to refuel, but I certainly had an empty tank beneath my rib cage to fill! Manager Krystal gave me excellent directions about filling up with superb (needed!) COFFEE, then patiently assisted me as I figured out what my all-important Brekkie should consist of. And I needed all the help I could get--my eBikeKit-assisted CruzBike had "slipped out" from under me when cycling over a rain-slicked cattle guard entering this great place, which certainly has my enthusiastic "Wheel of Approval!"

There is a Dickies BBQ on site, but that is just a chain. I noticed when I walked past to the restrooms that there was a window to the kitchen and a hand kept reloading the foil wrapped burritos into angled shoots full of goodness. There were three of us so my hubby snagged a chicken, steak and a bean & cheese. We got back in the car and headed on our way. I had the steak, he had the chicken and my sis-in-law had the bean & cheese. Mine had grilled pieces of steak, beans, cheese and chunks of potato. It had a great kick of green chile that let you know that Hatch was nearby. My husband took a bite of his and let out a "Woooo!" There was some heat rocking in his burrito. He asked his sis if she would like a trade and she did. (I wasn't giving mine up) She took breaks between bites to let the heat dissipate. That was legit! The bean and cheese was delicious as well. The men's bathroom really needs to be cleaned. Also, the dog park on site really needs to be cleaned up and more mulch added to cover the muddy spots. It happened to be raining when we were traveling. Trash in the parking area needs to be picked up. The store does offer a nice selection of snacks and refreshments.
