I took my car to Lockwood automotive services in Arcadia Indiana have the fuel pump replaced in my…read morefuel tank .upon picking up my car the mechanic asked me if my fuel gauge was broke when I brought it in, no it was not!!! Lockwood automotive said they could not find the part to fix the gas gauge anyway. So after spending a lot of money I now have a car that has a gas gauge that is broken smells like fuel all the time. and when my fuel runs low or I go around the corner or come to a stop my vehicle dies. Lockwood automotive refuse to fix the problem. my advice would be to not take any vehicles boats or anything to Lockwood automotive, but if you want to roll the dice and take a chance with them that's on you!

Well they aren't much cheaper than the commercial dealerships as far as car repair(I thought they were). To make matters worse their workmanship has greatly declined over the years. The quote they gave me was 500 to repair my vehicle. The owner's dad confirmed this. Then, I get the bill it's over 800 without them calling me first like most dealerships would do! That is a significant deviation from their quote. If they think you have money, they will stick it to you and the price they charge you will be more!!- I can say this for sure!! I took my car back a month later as it still wasn't fixed. I hoped they would back their prior work. Still, part of the same area under my car-rear end bearings-they called and told me it would cost another 500!! I did not want to let them touch it, but I knew I was in too deep because had received a quote from a well-known dealer to replace the entire rear end diff. For 1000, which, hindsight, I should have gone with. I also learned big dealers guarantee their work and parts for a year, AND it's in writing. If I would have left and gone to big dealer at this point it would put me in -1800 since I had already spent over 800 with Lockwoods. This put me in at -900 AND still left my car with only the bearings replaced! I will never return! Over the years I've had my son and husband's vehicles worked on and have had to return them because the vehicles still weren't repaired right. We only went here b/c my husband wanted to help them out-all the while., they were helping themselves out---to our money! Don't go here! Gone are the days they were reliable. We gave them numerous chances ;at the request of my husband). I should have followed my instincts. An oil change is the most I'd let them do!

As a girl, car servicing is usually a NIGHTMARE. Every other auto repair shop I've visited has…read moretried to sell me a multitude of things that I would later find out didn't actually need replacing. I had such a pleasant experience here. The receptionist was so courteous and accurately relayed everything I told her was going on with my vehicle to the mechanics and went above and beyond to make sure I would leave with a fully functional vehicle. I had taken my car to 2 other shops (Eagle auto & Tom O'Brien) who both told me I needed 2 lists of totally different repairs. IAM went through the list and explained to me why I did or didn't need each item and the receptionist even shared photos from the mechanic of items like the air filter to prove it actually needed replacing. This is the most transparent and honest service shop I have ever been to. I have had zero issues with my vehicle since servicing here.

My granddad had a terrible experience with this dealership and would not recommend them to anyone…read more Within 15 minutes of driving off the lot, the car he purchased started overheating and leaking, making it clear there were serious pre-existing issues. We had driven 4 hours to purchase this vehicle, and it couldn't even make it 15 minutes on the highway. We had no choice but to leave the car at the dealership the same day because it was not drivable. When I contacted the dealership, instead of taking responsibility, the salesman told us to lie about the situation to the warranty company so the damage would be covered. That was extremely concerning and unprofessional. RED FLAG We were then promised that we could switch the car out on Monday, but when that day came, we were given the runaround. We were repeatedly transferred to a salesman who would not answer and appeared to be intentionally sending us to voicemail. The only way we could reach anyone was by calling from different or private numbers. We drove back again 4 hours-- 2 days later --trying to resolve this issue, and still nothing has been done. There has been no real help, no follow-up, and no accountability. On top of that, when we became understandably frustrated due to the lack of resolution, the situation escalated and the police were called about 5-10 mins after we got there instead of anyone attempting to handle the issue professionally because they didn't want their customers to know what they did as we were voicing what was going on. This entire experience has been stressful, time-consuming, and completely unacceptable. We are still waiting for a proper resolution and have yet to be contacted in any meaningful way. Buyers should proceed with extreme caution.
