We have gone here for years in order to support our local businesses-after all, that's what good Americans do, right? Well they aren't much cheaper than the commercial dealerships as far as car repair(I thought they were).To make matters worse their workmanship has greatly declined over the years. The quote they gave me was 500 to repair my vehicle. The owner's dad confirmed this. Then, I get the bill it's over 800 without them calling me first like most dealerships would do! That is a significant deviation from their quote. If they think you have money, they will stick it to you and the price they charge you will be more!!- I can say this for sure!! I took my car back a month later as it still wasn't fixed. I hoped they would back their prior work. Still, part of the same area under my car-rear end bearings-they called and told me it would cost another 500!! I did not want to let them touch it, but I knew I was in too deep because had received a quote from a well-known dealer to replace the entire rear end diff. For 1000, which, hindsight, I should have gone with. I also learned big dealers guarantee their work and parts for a year, AND it's in writing. If I would have left and gone to big dealer at this point it would put me in -1800 since I had already spent over 800 with Lockwoods. This put me in at -900 AND still left my car with only the bearings replaced! I will never return! Over the years I've had my son and husband's vehicles worked on and have had to return them because the vehicles still weren't repaired right. We only went here b/c my husband wanted to help them out-all the while., they were helping themselves out---to our money! Don't go here! Gone are the days they were reliable.
