The place states walk-ins are welcome I took my daughter there to get her nails done and was rejected. Was told to by nail tech she has set customers. The place was empty. Sucks for me since I was just trying to put a smile on my daughter face. No attempt to made to make an appointment or any other explanation. read more

After coming back a few times, I need to bring my review up. Every person who works in this salon does an amazing job. Today I came in for a gel fill-in. I haven't been back in a few weeks, but they made me feel right at home. They have OPI color gel, which is my favorite brand of nail polishes. It's nice that I can find my go-to shade. They take their time with each customer and do an incredible job. The owner is also a sweetheart and goes above and beyond to make her guests feel welcomed. Mary is amazing, but you better call and make an appointment because she books up quickly! If you don't mind spending an extra few dollars, it really goes a long way to come here! my first time coming here for nails and wooow!! had an appointment for 1:20 with Mary and i arrived kinda early but she took me right after her last client and worked on me for about an hour and 15, i got a new acrylic set and i absolutely love them. i was nervous about my first idea so i changed what i wanted and she gave me exactly what i was looking for. i was a little skeptical when she was putting the acrylic on because it looked very bumpy but she perfectly shaped them and i was so happy with the results. i paid $70 (perfectly expected, she gave me her undivided attention and checked in with me before she continued & i got special colors). i'm definitely planning on coming back again, thank you!! read more

I don't usually bother writing reviews but after reading a recent one star reviews that is posted on this site I decided to post my own review. Maranatha Nails is not a luxurious salon nor is it the most popular salon but it is by far the best salon. I have been going there for years and my nails never chip or break, they are perfect for two to three weeks with out fail. It is a very friendly and comfortable place where Mary and Lourdes are completely dedicated to doing the best job. Sometimes I do wait 5 or 10 minutes but that is not a problem considering I'm going to leave with a beautiful set of nails. It's also a joy to me, not a problem when I see children who get to hang out with their very busy Moms. Finally I have never experienced old chippy polish or have I been ripped off or had my nails scrapped or mistreated in anyway. These claims are completely not characteristic of the Maranatha Nails I know and love for years. read more

So after the reading the owners response I have to say this. My husband too has a family business nails aren't a necessity but a luxury. If you are what you say you are which is worrying about the integrity of someone's nails then you wouldn't scratch off the whole top of the nail!!!! Further I'm aware the prices are listed that's why when you charged me it didn't add up and you simply ripped me off. So I have to say this children shouldn't be working and causing disruptions at an adult establishment. And yes I have found my new go to! My expectations aren't high I simply don't want old polish that chips within a day an attitude from the nail tech your inability to properly schedule and lastly children running in and out when I'm trying to relax when doing my nails. I'm not sure why this place is rated so high- I have multiple gripes about my gel manicure experience. First, the manicurist had to check the gel color bottle I wanted and that should have been an indicator that the polish may be old. Anyway, she went off and started filing my nails and cutting my cuticles. She went way overboard with the cuticle cutting and made my finger bleed, yet she just proceeded. I told her to stop and move on, and she still went on. She didn't put anything on it to prevent infection or anything. I had to ask another manicurist who checked me out at the end to give me some peroxide or anything of the like. Next, the gel manicure started peeling and chipping two days later. It was a busy week for me, otherwise I would have gone back immediately to get it fixed, but I had to wait a few more days bc of my schedule. When I did go back, the same manicurist (who doesn't even seem qualified to be one) "fixed" my nails. Problem was that she didn't seal the tips of my gel mani and that causes chipping and peeling. When I went for a fix, she STILL didn't seal the tips. It's clear that this person was not properly trained on gel. I won't be back. Note: the manager gave me a coupon for my next visit after she saw my bleeding finger, knowing they messed up, but there's no way I would come back. For $22 gel mani, I'll pay a few bucks more and not risk infection and have it last for the right amount of time. read more

I had an amazing experience thanks to Mary and Lourdes. Mary is so nice and professional while I was there I witnessed how she makes sure you get serviced on time even calling customers to let them know that they were running a little late. Every time I would get tips with powder gel at my regular salon I ended up with uneven bumpy nails, Mary is a pro and gave me the perfect nails with a flawless coffin shape. My manicure and gel pedicure lasted and were perfect during my 2 week vacation. This is without a doubt my new nail salon. Give it a try read more

IF I COULD ID SAY 0 STARS!! AVOID!! Okay first off, they can't do acrylic. I came here because I found them on Yelp and they had good reviews but honestly I'm convinced the good comments are for another place. I came for an acrylic fill in and a pedicure. The fill in. I had to get one nail fixed (my pinky) and I've never had problems with people doing one nail without the plastic tip. The nail is so uneven and wrongly shaped it's a bit frightening. All my nails are thin with a rounded edge and this one nail looks like a circle BLOB. They kept going on and on about how acrylic is bad for the nails. Once is okay twice is understandable but when you tell the person you are already aware of it, giving a whole lecture is just rude. I'm paying you to do my nails not to get a lecture. And they kept putting nail glue on the top of the nail which makes no sense. It only made the skin around the nail covered in glue which they then said the skin was "dry" because of using acrylic. What???? I ask them to do a small design on my two ring fingers and omg two different designs. Like completely different. And the woman tries to sell it saying oh this is the fashion nowadays. No I asked you to do this and I expect what I asked for. And honestly the polish was applied like a CHILD did it. Way too thick. I've got acrylic and gel polish and it was never this thick. It took forever to dry!! And get this: my nails were lifting at the edges before I even walked out of the place. And the pedicure. Honestly it just felt like a beginner was doing it. Again, polish was applied way too thickly. I asked for the same design of at least one of my ring fingers but nope she makes something completely different. I can see why this place was so empty when I walked it. They do everything so slow and it's not even good. I wasted 2 HOURS getting a simple pedicure and fill ins. It doesn't take me that long even to do it myself! Never coming back read more

I am a regular now. Mary does my nails every two weeks and does a great job. Their selection of colors is amazing too, they carry several gel lines and I AM trying just about every shade now. The weekends can get crowded so I schedule my next appointment when I am there. Clean and friendly, and prices are fair. read more

I've been going here (different names and owners)using Mary for 15 years. She recently bought the place, cleaned it up ( incredibly clean!!) and now runs a beautiful shop. It used to be paradise nails so if you left ( for good reason believe me) and didn't know Mary bought it, you do now!! I wouldn't go any where else! My nails always come out perfect. I get a gel mani. Even when I used to get a regular mani it lasted. Her prices are good and the service is amazing. She also does my waxing. Make an appointment so you know you have her, she gets booked. You can always try a walk in she does have openings. The other girl is sweet and does a good job also. Mary offers tub liners for $1.00 I believe, but she disinfects with bleach so no worries here. Give her a try you won't regret it. read more

Walked in with my two girls 8 & 12. We have been there once before they have a $8.99 special for children 12 and under. I was in for a pedicure and eyebrow wax. There was no one waiting and two other people were being taken care of at the time. While I had my pedicure done my girls waited patiently. Two other people walked in for the same service -manicure/pedicure. One of the gentleman was put in the chair for a pedicure and one of my children told to wait for a manicure while the owner went in the back to finish waxing a customer. At this point my oldest child was upset she was missed over to be next for her pedicure. At this point I was done and just wanted to pay and leave - 15 min later the owner comes out of the wax room and wants to work on my little ones hands. I paid for my pedicure and left.
