He and his wife donned slippers and masks when they arrived which made us feel more comfortable about having two people in our house during Covid - 19. It turned out the problem with our dishwasher was quite the enigma, but Andy wasn't going to let it defeat him! The repair took longer than expected, but Andy did not charge us a whole lot more than the estimate. He wasn't about to guarantee the length of the fix, and rightly so given the age of the dishwasher. He did however, advise us to call him if we needed new appliances, and he called us the next day to confirm the dishwasher was still working. Excellent customer service and I would hire Andy again.

For example, I had no idea that my built-in Sub-Zero refrigerator should get regular maintenance checks, every 1-2 years. Who knew? My neighbors all advised me that, if ever the fridge needed to be replaced, it'd cost as much as a new car. I thought they were pulling my leg. But I found out, no, they weren't exaggerating. And that totally FREAKED ME OUT. So I figured it was totally worth it to get the fridge checked out and any preventative care done. My neighbors all recommended Shoreline Appliance Services, so I called them and booked an appointment. And they were totally great. I don't like surprises. And there were absolutely none with this company. I booked an appointment for a date a week away. I was told the tech would call me that morning to give me a time frame-window, when he'd arrive. I was told the price for this maineneacne service upfront, and was told what types of payment was accepted (credit cards taken at time of service, no debit cards, FYI). Today was my scheduled appointment day. Sure enough, a bit after 8am, the tech (Joshua) called me and asked if he could come by between 10-11 am. I said sure. And true to form, Josh arrived at 10:30 am. I liked how he wore a face mask (even though it's no longer mandated), and even though I told him he could keep his shoes on, he insisted on removing them upon entering my condo unit. Very very respectful. He put down pads on my kitchen floor before removing the freezer drawers, and he explained what he was doing. (I admit, I didn't really get half of it. Something about condensation coils and stuff. lol. This stuff is not in my wheelhouse, for sure). He did some diagnostics and some vacuuming and in 15 minutes, it was all done. This quickie appointment wasn't cheap (they were having a "special" for this fridge maintenance, for $179. I think that was $20 off their regular price. And Josh said their price was going up next month, too). But they have these specials once or twice a year, and Josh said his work is guaranteed for two months, so if there were any problems, he'd come back and I'd not have to pay any trip charges or anything. (I think he said two months). He was great and clearly knew his way around Sub-Zero fridges. This company has been around since 2005 and they are a Factory Certified Service/Premier Partner Services providers for Sub-Zero, Wolf and Cove brands. All I know is, before calling them, I researched appliance service companies here on Yelp and contacted three of them through the Yelp site, asking for an quote for my fridge maintenance service, and not one of them responded to me. So I bit the bullet and contacted Shoreline, and they didn't let me down. I guess you get what you pay for, and if you have a pricey Sub-Zero or Wolf appliance, it's definitely worth the price to get a reputable service company that guarantees their work. During my interactions with Saeid, I shared videos of my washing machine acting up, and he was able to help me trouble shoot what was going on without even setting foot in front of the machine. When I asked him what I owed him for his time - because we spent over 2 hours back and forth on text with him reviewing videos, and making suggestions to try with my washing machine - he indicated that he was happy just to help out. Wow! There are not many businesses in this city who are simply ok to "help out" without compensation of some sort!
