We met with a few different contractors for quotes, some offered slightly cheaper pricing but after speaking with them, we knew Marlon and his team were the right choice. When you're having a project done in your home, trust is everything, and we trust them 100%. Even during heavy rain, they were able to keep working by setting up a tarp tent over the work area, which kept things clean and minimized disruption to our neighbors. This time, we had our whole house painted, our entrance door replaced, and our porch tiled. Once again, they delivered excellent results. Our new entrance door looks beautiful, and the paint job is phenomenal. I feel like we have a brand-new home. We will definitely hire them again for future renovations, no doubt! They are fast, meticulous, and truly trustworthy.

After finding a major leak from an exterior wall, we invited half a dozen contractors to come out…read moreand estimate a fix. Clearly it was going to be a very large - and, of course, completely unexpected - project. We felt a ton of pressure to find the right balance of cheap, fast, and - most importantly, this being a major structural wall of our home - good. Given how critical and involved the job was, we needed to have confidence every step of the way. From the get-go, Marlon provided that. From the initial estimate, it was clear that J O Builder doesn't cut corners and wants to do the job right. Where some of the other contractors proposed patchwork solutions that would likely have resulted in having the same problem again in five or ten years. Ignacio from J O estimated a more comprehensive job that would avoid that. J O isn't just interested in securing a job but rather taking care of your home as well as if it were their own. Marlon, Ozny, Daniel, and the rest of the team were always incredibly responsive and understood our concerns immediately. They were able to talk us through any concerns we had throughout the job and proactively gave us a heads up on what was coming next so we were never surprised by anything. When the job was finished, our wall was in better shape than ever, with better insulation and a clean facade inside and out, as if nothing had happened. Meanwhile we know it's built well and will last a long time, and we had confidence at every step of the way. We'll be reaching out to Marlon again for all our future jobs. If you want your job done right, I strongly recommend that you do too.

Great communication and good teams he subcontracts with. For additional context: we were connected to Ehsan/Califer construction by a 3rd party online bathroom renovation design/build startup (which I won't name as I don't recommend, but felt so fortunate once we connected to Ehsan and his company--he ably made up for the design company's gaps in service / undelivered materials). In future I would just go directly to contract with Califer.

He was upfront on the costs and came the next day to do the repairs himself The support structure had some damage as well as a few other boards on our deck. So he fixed all of that while here and made sure all was safe to entertain guests. The stairs look amazing, and unless you knew, you can't tell they've been repaired ... they don't look like a "patch job". Upon finishing, he offered some suggestions to help prolong and maintain the life of our current deck to help it last until we're ready to replace it (which we know needs to be done). He explained different ways we may improvement it in the future depending on our budget. I would HIGHLY recommend him. He's honest and sincere in wanting to help his customers. After over a decade of home ownership, we decided to try for our first remodel. Not knowing anything about how it works at all, we really appreciated Lemon Remodeling's communication style- they were patient and thorough in explaining the process and answering questions. We were also able to communicate via text for most of the process, which provided great flexibility for us with work and kid schedules. It was truly amazing seeing how our fuzzy intial vision came to layout, render, and reality. Jacob was awesome in providing suggestions and guidance when I needed it (e.g., when to use matte vs gloss vs semi gloss, what's the difference in wall textures, and how do dishwashers work ) I also never felt pressured at all, which really made the whole experience pretty low stress. We did a full kitchen remodel, moved the sink location, upgraded electrical, etc. The crew did an amazing job, and got so much work done in a short amount of time. Construction was well planned and I was able to do my work from home job in the room next door with no trouble while construction was underway. It's been a few weeks since we finished and it's my absolute favorite room in the house now. The pull out cabinet shelves are such a game changer. I don't know how I've gone my whole life without a dishwasher before. And even though the size footprint of the kitchen didn't change, the layout and cabinets have given us so much more storage and counter space. Not to mention the peace of mind that comes with knowing all the electrical, plumbing and gas is up to code! Overall, I'm thankful to have worked with Lemon. We have an amazing, functional kitchen and I am much less intimidated with the ideal of remodeling now

Orr Jacob managed the project , from beginning to end. He was a pleasure to work with, a perfectionist with his craft and always was on top of the crew at every phase of the project. The process was discussed and annotated in detail over the weeks. Specialized teams worked on each area- framers, painters, plumbers, electricians, tilers etc. Each crew member was respectful and courteous. Communication was open and easy. The foreman , George, was also very attentive. Everything was done to perfection. Quality and aesthetics were beyond my expectations. This was a dream renovation for me and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. I give Lemon Remodeling the highest recommendation to anyone looking for a contractor.

The property had been poorly maintained over the years, and we knew from the beginning that restoring it properly would require a team that understood both renovation and preservation. David and his team did an excellent job maintaining the character of the home while bringing everything up to modern standards. They restored the original stucco, rebuilt the terracotta roof using matching tiles from the original manufacturer, and updated all of the major systems throughout the house. We really appreciated how careful they were with the original details instead of simply replacing everything with something new. One of the most rewarding moments came after the renovation was completed, when the city's historic preservation officer sent us a letter complimenting the work. That meant a great deal to us and confirmed that the attention and care David brought to the project really showed. We are extremely happy with the result. The home feels refreshed and comfortable, but it still has the character that made us love it in the first place. We would absolutely recommend King David Home Builders for a major renovation or restoration project.

The old layout always felt disconnected, so opening everything up made a huge difference in how we use the house. Ray and his team helped coordinate the structural work needed for a large light fixture and also worked with us on creating separate islands for prep and seating, which turned out to be one of the best decisions we made. The kitchen is much more practical now, but it also feels like a space where everyone naturally gathers. We use it every day for cooking and family time, and it works just as well when we have a larger group over. Really happy with how everything turned out and with the work Ray and his team did.

This turned out to be a very detailed and complicated project with many moving parts. We ripped out the entire old bathroom including walls, ceiling, the floor, and redid everything from scratch. We also repositioned the bathtub, vanity, and redid the entire plumbing system. The project manager, Azeen was very responsive, involved and caring. Along the way, Azeen was always available to answer any of our project/progress related questions, to address our concerns, and to discuss next steps. Azeen jumped at resolving any issues, and she also helped with finished product selection, provided her advice and guidance on design. It was a pleasure to work with her. Despite some bumps, and challenges, which alway come up with any construction project, overall we are very happy that we've selected CaliBuilder for this project and we are fully satisfied with our new beautiful bathroom. One note - we've realized that the project success does not only depend on the professional and detail-oriented project manager but also on the skill and attention to detail of the workmen. Initially we had someone who did not seem to be as focused and often produced results below expectation, but then the new crew was amazing! We highly recommend this team!

At the time, I was 32 weeks pregnant and hoping to have the remodel completed before our baby arrived. Azeen came over, listened carefully to our needs, and patiently discussed all the details with us. Our project was a like-for-like bathroom remodel, and Calibuilder's quote was competitive compared to other companies we considered. Knowing that our neighbors also had a great experience gave us confidence in choosing them. Throughout the project, we had a group chat with Azeen, where we documented all the finer details to ensure nothing was missed. This was incredibly helpful in keeping everyone aligned as the project progressed. Azeen also recommended a few stores for finishes and tiles--we went with Porcelanosa and are very happy with the final result. She prioritized our project, which we really appreciated given the baby could arrive any day. While there were a few things that initially didn't turn out the way we had hoped, calibuilder was responsive and came back to address and fix them. If you're particular about the small details, like we are, we recommend clearly communicating them upfront and documenting everything. Also, be sure to discuss any potential additional costs for smaller tasks that may not be included in the original quote to avoid surprises later. Overall, we're very satisfied with how our bathroom turned out.
