Our 50' white ash was severely damaged as a result of the recent ice storm…read more It was hanging over our and our neighbour's roofs. We needed it taken down quickly and professionally. After getting quotes from several companies we chose Toby's because of their positive reviews, the fact that they were willing to email a copy of their insurance and the fact that the gentleman who did the initial inspection and quotation took the time to answer our questions. Toby's was not the cheapest quote we got but we had a feeling that they would do a good job, not cut corners and be safe in their work practices. We were correct on all counts! Their 'climber' showed up early on God agreed upon day, assessed the job to be done and then planned out the job with the rest of the crew when they arrived. Toby and his wife also showed up to supervise the job. Allowing for an unforseen problem with their wood chipper, the job was done, yard cleaned up and trunks taken away well within the time quoted. I highly recommend Toby's Tree Service. Peter

This was a straight forward job- clear 5 meter from any pole that hydro is erecting- nothing on the job site changed- we didn't add trees and more trees didn't grow over night. Very clear instructions and map provided by hydro. We in good faith paid them another 4 000 because they refused to finish the job without further payment. Hydro came and inspected and the job was still incomplete. They said they would return in the morning to finish the job and never showed. They are crooks and I would never recommend them to anyone. They will lie right to your face and clearly do not have a clue how to honestly quote a job.

Had been looking around for a competent Tree Service Company to clear a residential half acre lot…read morefor future building. Dave's price was very competitive and I contracted him for the project. The lot had been untouched for 30 years with a massive amount of cedar and buckthorne present. Dave arrived with the massive chipper and his "Komatsu" bobcat with a variety of attachments. He was methodical in his work and I was in awe how he handled the rubber track Bobcat. Working until darkness on 2 nights he not only cleared my lot but took the time in the dark to spread and pack the chipped material and provide me with a temporary driveway. I have no hesitation in recommending Dave's Company for consideration if you have a similar project. Don McIntyre

Scott was very careful and thoughtful about which trees needed to be removed and patiently answered my questions. His quote was slightly higher than the other 2, but I got the impression they were worth it, and they were. It was obvious that Scott wasn't interested in clear cutting but was dedicated to providing solutions to keep our current trees healthy. I cannot stress how important it is to get this kind of work done right. You can't just buy 40 foot trees. Owner Scott was professional and patient to show me which trees were dying and which trees could thrive. His team were friendly, efficient, skilled and went above and beyond (spoke to my neighbour about the work that was about to happen along the property line and friendly to other neighbours who interacted with them). Owner Scott did a walk about after the work was done to ensure I was happy. I would highly recommend Lakeside Tree Service. These guys know what they're doing and they do it really well. Looking forward to using them again and again.
